      You need to thank President SAMIA as well for completing the project.The bridge was only 5% when Magufuli died, and if SAMIA decided not to continue constructing it because of the Big money needed to construct the projec, it could have been stalled by now since Magufuli did not leave money to complete it.

    I hope the country focuses on other poorer regions so that people in the less well off regions have an incentive to stay there, earn a living and live there as opposed to flocking to the Dar Es Salaam and end up selling mangoes or tomatoes at the street corner. Hardly an economic activity.

    • @magazijuto7991
      @magazijuto7991 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I think you are just ungrateful. Is this bridge in Dar? 1000km from Dar es Salaam and you can see all roads near there are tarmac. Actually, Lake victoria zone is even more populated than Dar es Salaam Metropolis. Rural Tanzania is among the most developed in Africa. They cultivate a lot, almost everything. 90% are connected with electricity and clean water. And have good houses and with high roofs. Those who sell mangoes, it's their choice and if someone can survive in the city then earns something. at least they didn't beg your money

    • @alfrescodingdong7430
      @alfrescodingdong7430 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@magazijuto7991 you’re speaking of Tanzania as a first world country. You’re definitely proud of international aid delivering that rural development and clean water. My message above is to say all the shiny Dar Es Salaam investments in infrastructure should also be replicated to other rural towns and cities. Derby is not as developed as London nor is Idaho to York City…these cities and municipalities have mayors and governors who constantly fight for funding from the central government for local development. Tanzania is an exception because contrary to UN development figures, because ‘ rural Tanzania is among the most developed inAfrica’! Don’t make me laugh - Typical African politics…look at where you are in the world…🤣

      @@alfrescodingdong7430Have you been to Tanzania?. The kind of investment that is done in Dar es Salaam can't be replicated to other towns, those other towns don't need them. Dar es Salaam in the smallest and most populated city in Tanzania. It needs more investment, what has been done is not enough. Dar needs more. Plus those who sell mangoes in Dar earn huge amounts of money in case you didn't know😂😂😂😂. No one is proud of international aid, plus no one is bringing aid to Tanzania, no one is bringing aid . Maybe free condoms 😂😂😂. You can't build infrastructures by aid money, you can't.

    That 3.2 km Magufuli Bridge is certainly not the *longest bridge* in Africa. It is said to be Africa's longest *low-pylon cable-stayed bridge* but certainly not the *longest bridge* in Africa. For perspective, there are bridges spanning 20.5kilometres and 11.8 kilometers in Africa. So there is no way the newly built 3.2km Magufuli Bridge can be the longest in Africa. You need to try to understand the information you are trying to disseminate before posting. It's very important for your credibility as a TH-camr and for the proper education of your subscribers. And just to be clear, all that longest and biggest superlatives are not really important. At the end of the day, the most important thing is the utility.

    @Africaninsider, CORRECTION: The Kigongo-Busisi Bridge, also known as John Pombe Magufuli Bridge in Tanzania is only 3.2 kilometers ( it just 2.0 miles) and it is not the longest bridge in Africa. It is not even close to being the longest in Africa, as your title wrongly suggests. Perhaps you meant to say the longest bridge in East Africa?
    According to World Atlas 2024, Longest Bridges currently in Africa are:
    1. The 6th October Bridge - Egypt - 20.5 Kilometers (12.7 miles).
    2. Third Mainland Bridge - Lagos, Nigeria - 11.8 Kilometers (7.3 miles)
    3. Seuz Canal Bridge - Egypt - 3.9 kilometers (2.4 miles).
    4. Mozambique Island Bridge - 3.8 kilometers
    5. Dona Ana Bridge - Mozambique -- 3.7 Kilometers
    ***
    ***The New 24 miles (38.6 kilometers) Fourth Mainland Bridge - Lagos Nigeria, will be Africa's longest Bridge come 2025 as the construction of this mega project commences in few weeks.
