    Thanks for the beautiful review, Shawn! Our new colors will be in stock around the end of October and our Faya will come with a metal plate!

    I just recently got a pair of the Tony Pros and I really love them. I struggled with them initially because with the European sizing they were pressing on my toes. Welp, between learning a new lacing technique, and doing a little stretching (I put on three pairs of socks and stood up in them, and blasted them with a hair dryer.) I bought these as a go-between since my Lollies are apparently back ordered until the end of the time. Once I got them stretched and relaced the fit is better. if I were to replace these with the pretty powder blue ones I'd go up a size. As a much heavier skater I am really thinking about upgrading to Avanti plates as the stock plates are hella bouncy (to me). These also did come with much looser trucks than I was used to and that makes me have to use my legs more rather than my feet doing something to roll in a stiff boot. I love the Y tool it came with (IT HAS A WRENCH!!!!) and overall for the value I think it's a great skate. I caution anyone that needs a lot of ankle support that this may not be the skates for you as these babies are butter soft. I wonder if the Lollies will be that soft when they come.

      Lol. I don't have any Lollies, but it seems as if they will be a little stiffer. I don't think it would count as ankle support though. Post an update or video and let us know. Thanks for posting this.

      The Lollies are floppy; not a lot of ankle support compared to their Panthers.

      @@alexatorres6248 Which I have since learned - mine came in November. Unfortunately though, The boot on the BTFL is by comparison a sock compared to the Lollies (since I can now make the reference between the two)

    I have the BTFL Tony Pro, and they’re my favorite! In real life, they’re more of a gray-beige color. I may do another set of eyelets like you did. Using waxed laces helped with the bump a little bit though. I was also concerned about the rounded wheels, but I ended up liking them better than the gummy wheels that came on my Evokes. Of course, I’ve replaced the wheels on all of my skates with hard wheels for rink skating. As of last week, the BTFL website had refurbished Scarlets & Tonys for $120! My aunt ordered the refurbished Scarlets, and they arrived looking flawless. I hope you enjoy yours once you get to use them. I’m about to go put mine on for a little morning workout. 💜

      @@happytraining.online You’re welcome! I put the insoles from a comfy pair of shoes in my BTFLs before I started skating this morning, and the “bump” went away. My feet are a little wide in the front, so I ordered a size larger to make sure the boot wouldn’t be too tight. I could have ordered my regular size because I think the extra room is what was causing mine to bulge at the toe when I tightened the laces. When they get the other colors in stock, I’m going to order a pair in my regular size. I took 2 pretty hard falls while trying to learn to spin this morning, so I hope I can still walk by the time the new colors are available. Relearning to skate as an “old lady” is rough! 😂😂😂 It’s so fun and addictive though! I think I’ll take a pair of skates to the office today and practice while I work at my stand-up desk. My BIG puppy goes to work with me everyday since I’m usually by myself at the office. I’m sure he will be entertained by my feet moving around next to his bed. He’s a mix of a couple breeds of herding dogs, and he loves to “do his job” when he sees me skating. LOL

    I think, those are cool, but I have a hard time with anything but metal/aluminum plates. I don't trust nylon plates. I know, I know... they're not all that bad. But hey, I also have a hard time with plates that don't have jumps. So, although I got the Impalas, I like that they have metal plates. However, they don't have a jump so... I don't know... I think that's why I really love the Roller Derby Cruze XRs!!! I'm just waiting for one last item, and I will begin vlogging!!!

      I know. I went on about those plates but edited it out. I prefer an aluminum plate. Nylon tends to squeak. These seem solid though.

    If you had to suggest the best beginner roller skate what would it be?

    • @happytraining.online
      @happytraining.online  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! No, the rounded wheels and lack of support in the ankles probably wouldn't be best for a beginner. They are definitely something to aspire to😁

    • @aprilalexander9653
      @aprilalexander9653 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@happytraining.online What skate would you suggest then?

    • @happytraining.online
      @happytraining.online  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aprilalexander9653 How did I see that coming?😁 The Roller Derby Cruze XRs are great for indoor skating for beginners. They are pretty inexpensive, in case this isn't something you want to stick with, but they are very smooth rolling skates that will probably make you want to stick with it. For outdoor skating, I'd recommend the Roller Derby Carlins/Drifter ( I wish they had more colors). The boot is nice and comfortable (after you manually break them in) and the wheels are great. These also can be used indoors, but don't use them for both.
