That's awesome glad this video was helpful and good luck on the build ... thank you for watching
Love your country boy ingenuity... We have something in common. You just gave me a quick reply on my 1845c no start problem and I am now a subscriber👍
Thank you it has its advantage to have country boy ingenuity LOL. I'm glad I could help and thank you for subscribing and watching
Man what a great design!
Thank you and thank you for watching
Just one more video, then I promise to go out and unclog that sink......I just wanna see this oil heater.

I love that idea. Great job, Theo!
Thank you Steve and thank you for watching
Dang genius brother I like it
Thank you and thank you for watching
Hey Theo,
The Heater is Awesome. That’s a Great Job on the Stove and the Video!!👍👍👍
Thank you sir
Looks like a neat setup. But would have been great if you would have got it lit so we can really see how it works
Here the link to the video of it running ... thank you for watching

Nice heater, Theo! 77 degrees here today, but we're supposed to get some winter temps tomorrow🤣👍
Only could wish for 77° lol ... thank you for watching Matt
Nice Theo..always looking for alternative ideas for heat..enjoyed seeing how yours is set up..
I'm cheap Howard and paying for heat is like throwing money on the street IMO lol ... thank you for watching
Nice welds man
They are okay lol ... thank you for watching
@@CountryMileGarage hey better then some of these “welders” ha
@@TinkerKing209 I'm not a welder or fabricator but I can build stuff lol. Check out these running boards if you like

What about the smell? I mean I know the shops have smoke from working and welding, just wondering if you get an “oil” smell hit ya when you walk in the shop? I’ve Smelled a few shops with oil heaters and seems that was the trade off. I remember one of em used a brake rotor for the oil pot .
Anyways, stay warm and not to oily smelling. Lol .
you do get some oil smell but it's not horrible ... thank you for watching
Wow that is so cool.
thank you and thank you for watching
hope you don't mind a few armchair spectator suggestions . unless your shop gets very cold overnight , move tank further away , you won't need to adjust drip nearly as much . run copper line from tank to a tee which has a removable plug on one side . out the other side run a straight piece into the stove . remove the plug to rod out the piece that goes into the stove when needed . never leave a drip fed system unattended . i almost found out the hard (and expensive) way .
one more : to an empty 5 qt oil jug , add 1 qt gas (even old or contaminated gas) , then fill to original full mark with waste oil , shake very well to mix . shake briefly each time , before you use this "black diesel" fire starter . much cheaper than diesel or kero , as one gallon of gas makes 5 gallons of starter . when poured into your (cold only , never warm) stove , light immediately , don't allow it to gas off before lighting .
Always open for suggestions and ideas. I have been playing with this for a couple years now and I'm getting ready to build a nice one. My biggest problem with these heater setups is that a lot of heat goes out the chimney. So my next one is forced air with oil to create more heat and have as much as possible of heat recovery. Thank you for the ideas and thank you for watching
@@CountryMileGarage yes, if you have a coil around the outside exhaust. Cover insulated , It can take that heat to,a room you need to keep a bit warn. With water or antifreeze closed system . Car system to radiate reverse.with the right insulation can heat a greenhouse. Don’t forget you got a car stat , to release of excess outside somewhere, If needed.
@@williamrbuchanan4153 yes I have seen people do it like that ... thank you for watching
I built one using an old gas water heater tank. It worked...but the flue pipe got clogged up with a black ash after a few days of use.
Burning hot enough and a good draft is key ... thank you for watching
Good video . New subscriber here, how about break fluid? And is your next heater going to a step by step how 2 video ?
If the brake fluid is mixed in with all the other oil I would not worry about. The next stove I want to build is big and multiple different stove designs and heat extractions combined into one and that will be a step by step video ... thank you for watching
Before I "steal" your idea, would you do anything different in your design?
I would do something with force feeding air on windy days it work well on calm days it doesn't burn as well ... hope this helps and thank you for watching
@@CountryMileGarage Thank you! That's a HUGE help.
@@deltafour1212 no problem glad I can help
That is a nice way to spill oil and catch the whole place on fire. But I can appreciate the design.
Never said it was idiot proof LOL ... thank you for watching
@@CountryMileGarageI think you did a great job about keeping it as safe as you can responsibly be.👍
@@l-train2098 thank you and thank you for watching
Just need a guard rail, around it , not too heavy animal fence wrapped round. Job done. It’s can you see a name on that stove?
I'm not sure on the name would have to double check ... thank you for watching
Hey I have the same stove
Ain't that something lol ... thank you for watching
Nice 👍
thank you Bubba
Would of been nice to see it in action😔
I have another video of this stove in action ... thank you for watching
Would it be better to keep your oil feed drum outside in the cold that way you would not have to constantly watch the tap
That would make sense but used oil that is warm burns better hence it being so close ... thank you for watching
