This was a collab with Darius (whom I'm working with for Pokémon Azure) - he handled the composition, we double-dutied on arranging, and I handled the production.

I find it so interesting that this song only played twice in the entire game yet it had such a big impact on me. It fits Kiki and Victoria perfectly

The fact that when cal has to fight Victoria in Saphiras gym, says she’s lost control, then walks out victorious was really the part that got me. She’s lost control fully at that point which was heartbreaking to realize when cal was right.
Its such a nice foil to when Cal and Victoria first met, back then, Cal had no control and Victoria did, now Cal was the one with Control and it's Victoria this time that doesn't.
Well Cal has his character growth during the main plot whereas In my opinion Victoria‘s is postgame. Therefore he already came to terms with his errors while Victoria didn‘t
Huh, guess that must be on the Zekrom route since Cal and Victoria never interacted during the tournament for me. Victoria and Shelly got knocked out round 1 by Charlotte and Saphira while Cal loses to the player in round 2 after being paired with them against Eve and Lumi previously in the Reshiram route.
@@Bladehound83 yep. That's in the reshiram route. If you refuse to fight Taka and let him follow you in the desert. I mean, the Victoria paired with Shelly and you with Cal.
The fight against Victoria in Devon Corp against your will was incredible when this started playing. Such a nice touch
Idk why, but this music makes me feel sad. Just the tone of the song and when it’s played gives me those *feels*
Your not the only one who felt it, I did too. When I first fought her. Also after what happened to her.... it's been pretty emotional.
Her body is killing itself and she refuses to take it easy or seek palliative care... she's fighting you and she cuts weeks to days by doing so.
Takes the saying of "You shouldn't do this, but whatever, it's your funeral" to a whole new level.
@@commediaDollArte during the time when she was illed. I highly doubt there was better healthcare cause the wards were in a very bad state. And the neighborhoods was very neglected until we finish the agate circus arc. btw im at the 16th gym so dont spoil anything ahead of it please

A lovely song for a wonderful part of a game. This song turned a neat fight into something so striking, considering it wasn't in the fight originally. I love this a lot.
This adds so much to the two fights when it plays!

I sadly cant play because I don't have open gl2.0 but reborn is my most favorite fan game of all time
I actually kinda tore through Kiki's team mostly easily on my first try. Though I did accidentally overlevel and I had done some EV Training beforehand since the fight with Victoria prior was kicking my butt, not to mention that I thought I would've gotten my 5th Gym Badge from her, so you know.
At least Kiki didn't have to go through much more stress after that, so it all worked out I guess.

I (and Darius) have actually been doing fangame VGM for a year and a half now (see Pokémon Azure). This just happens to be uploaded on this channel - and also relatively high-profile.

@@DaforLynx Was the theme inspired by Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 Movement 1? Compare 0:40 of this video to the first time the orchestra enters in the Concerto. The melodies are almost the exact same, and the harmonies are very similar too. Anyways, this is my favorite battle theme in the game, thanks for making it!
@@andrewarena1759 hey! So I did the composition parts and Dafor helped with arranging and mixing so I can answer your question. Yes! Rachmaninoff’s second piano concerto is heavily alluded to in the first quarter of this piece. The melody lines are different in the sense of the notes they play, but the form is very similar. As well the supporting harmony ends in a Perfect Authentic Cadence in G minor instead of a descending scale in C minor.

The puzzles ruin the game imo, it has good lore, story and gameplay
Agreed il but I stuck it out for the story and don't regret
_However, I disagree._ Too many fangames phone in their puzzles or ape the boulder-shoving rooms of the past. Reborn stands out most of all for its smorgasbord of unique puzzles and the effort that went into their development.
@@Princess_Ruto those puzzles made me scream internally but i will say it did give satisfaction when solving them
