oh my goodness- i dont see rain world in a 3d environment often so this is truly something special and is helping me see the environments in such a different way. will absolutely be keeping this project in mind as an artist. incredible work!
I cannot wait to see The Ecterior, Memory Crypts, Garbage Wastes, Shoreline, Shaded Citadel, Sky Islands, and Chimney Canopy. (So basically 60 percent of the base game regions)
@@Tp.klaijin Yeah, those are all exciting, but the ones I listed are what I'm most excited for. Though, I did forget Metropolis, Pipeyard, and the Precipice.
I love the custom shaders, especially the sharp shadows. I wish the textures also had pbr (dynamic textures based on lighting) like the ones in rain world
This project is coming together so well holy shit.. the environment is absolutely gorgeous! If I can make a suggestion, maybe dolphin tunnels, ice, or soulspeed could be added to the pipes to help speed up travel through them. I’m not sure if that would affect lizard pathing or other creatures trying to navigate the area, but its something to think about
You did so well. The textures, the lighting, the scenery bits, recreating the rooms in 3D and still making them recognizable. I don't think it could've been done better.
the one thing that bewilders me is the idea of how all of this was planned out and executed in a way that perfectly captures what one would expect the game to appear as in 3d. every time i've tried to make outskirts in rec room (vr game with abysmal community and management but has a really good scripting/building system for making games) just as a little activity, it always looks like really foggy nyc with weird exotic plants😭 maybe it's because i 1. don't have every asset in rw outskirts recreated so i don't imagine a 3d outskirts with those things in them, 2. make the buildings out of solid cubes which doesn't instill the idea of "this has an interior" or "this could be a unique building", 3. can't put too much foliage or detail (mainly with things like tiles or things similar to the titular Random Machines™ since rec room's material selection is quite limited in that regard) or else it'd lag and take up too much space and hit the object limit, and 4. don't have a very vivid imagination for making urban/city environments that are interesting. i would say the worst offender is 3., the "low detail so game doesn't melt devices" bit is especially limiting with as much foliage and decay as there is in rain world
Sure hope this gets released at some point. Lotta fan projects like this that are cagey about "not releasing until its done" end up just becoming lost media cause the devs lose interest and move on. Be a real shame considering how cool this looks. Can always just put a "not finished!" On the download page
Whats so cool about this project as a whole is something I dont see discussed anywhere: If this map ever gets released soon, people can freely modify their own downloads and add small self made sections to it as if it is a mod for the game. In other words: Got I really hope there will be a download.
i better be able to jump off the wall into chimney canopy and into the gutter (or same with precipice an shorelime) (like precipice is literally in the same region as shoreline so you can load in all of shoreline and sutff uhh yeah)
Really cool. It would be nice if pipes had nearly instant teleportation feature like in the game. Traveling though them like this may be annoying and tedious in a long run
Stylistically it's absolutely excellent, but i do hope you pay mind to the gameplay aspect of things. At the end of the day thats what made rain world so special to me personally.
Yo, If anyone knows, what exactly was the outskirts meant to be? We already know that farm array were used to cultivate nectar, subterranean was used for drilling down to void fluid and extracting it, chimney canopy was the location of the chimneys that direct smoke out of the industrial complex which was a factory to make bone masks etc. So what were the outskirts?
Now that I look at it in 3d, Outskirts really start to look like some sort residential complex, streets of buildings, where the Ancients most likely lived, when the rain from Iterators wasn't so deadly. Rain did such a good job at making you perceive the world as a slugcat, a primitive animal, seeking food in a long abandoned world, that was once ruled by an advanced civilization, through level design, you don't see that you're traversing the roofs and fallen apart corridors of a living place, where Ancients once lived, you don't see all these poles, blocks and gaps as technology, that you understand/can use, they are mere obstacles to you, a part of the terrain. And, as a slugcat, you're that distant from anything civil and technological, that you can't even understand, that you're crawling through long abandoned and collapsed living blocks, can't even perceive these rooms, as places where someone once lived.
You have made me completely lost most of this video; Can you even navigate the map without getting lost? And this looks very interesting, I might get Minecraft so I can possibly play this after it's done.
with monsters chasing you through the tunnels this is gonna be horrifing
Casually use tunnel technique
Well *some tunnels* better saying
Man i can't wait to rage quit rain world and open minecraft only to realize that i opened this version of the game
the fun never ends
You can't escape
Wawa
@Necyar destroy
@springtrap2585 no, I've fallen for it again
this gives off massive portal 2 vibes, glados really is an iterator after all
except underground instead of abov the clouds
its time for scup experiments!! i honestly always wanted fleece to win ngl
@@sillysillyX3slugpup hungry games!!!
Slugcats would make excellent test subjects
Wait I’ve seen you before
it's kind of astonishing how much this looks and feels like a 3D version of Rain World
Bro i NEED this to be available to the public some day
Don't care if it takes 10 years i'm all for it
This is going to be a whole new level of terrifying (in the best way possible)
Cant wait to get chased by a red spider 🔥💯
Your cursor should totally be your current karma level
That would be cool
(Replying to your comment because yours will be shown more because of this)
Yes yes (comment booster)
It's not a bad idea ( the biggest karma being the normal cursor😂)
Yes

"BrokenArrow101 left the game"🔥🔥🔥
"xXSilverOfStrawXx left the cycle"
"Five Pebbles was banned from the Cycle by moderator Saint"
I find it exhilarating how vast and disorienting this is. Excellent work!

Scaffolding is such a good block for poles
I didn't help to the project as much as I wanted, but I'm exited with how it looks.
Everyone on the team did an amazing job!! It looks great, give yourself a pat on the back, you still contributed
@@Ahad-and-muffin i did two small rooms and windows which no one will notice)
But thanks
I can't describe how enamored I am with this map

The wall would look so insanely cool
@Dooperbooperlooper Yeah, just imagine an endless wall of rodio towers and such in 3d, and during sunset!
I mean like you forgot about five pebbles , lttm ,
farm arrays, chimney canopy
Drainage system , Subterranean , Etc.
@@Tp.klaijin Yeah, those are all exciting, but the ones I listed are what I'm most excited for. Though, I did forget Metropolis, Pipeyard, and the Precipice.
They actually posted a run through of Memory Crypts!
Oh my _god_ this is the first i'm learning about this and this is genuinely jaw-dropping
I love the custom shaders, especially the sharp shadows. I wish the textures also had pbr (dynamic textures based on lighting) like the ones in rain world
Always wanted to have a 3d Rainworld to explore, and this looks amazing so far!
I love this combination but I fear the almost circular pipes
You're making dreams come true
Looking forward to the release of this
If you like what you see and have a little skill in building you can join the development team!
I wish I could but I have no skills :(
Just a quick question are you also doing the downpour regions? I would love to see submerged superstructure.
@@loftwingheropon2743 And The Rot
Not ALL the downpour regions but I think one of the teams is working on submerged
THIS IS PEAK!
In three dimensions, this invokes a slight feeling of dread.
Amazing Work. The environments are stunning and movements looks smooth. Personally the choppy pipe transition feels a bit clunky though.
It's still in development ofc so not all of it will look as good at the moment I think

ngl it's a dream of mine for a place like this to exist as a biome/structure in the base game
im so hyped, this is gonna be peak
Wow, this is beautyfull, I LOVE IT 💜💜💜
Dude no way, this is sick. Great job on the level design! I'm really looking forward to seeing more.
Ok commenting again because i watched the video in full. The art and map design is so well done!
Absolutely love this
When writing, I always have trouble picturing Rain World's locations in 3D. This is really well done!!
cannot wait for this
Love how it opens up to the sky.
Not even a rain world fan, this looks amazing. Especially outside
3D Rain World goes so hard, can't wait to play this.
Absolutely phenomenal!
We ascending hard with this 🔥
I can't wait for the brainrot videos with minecraft parkour in the background to level up with this. Sorry in advance
Bro I love this project so much
all that left now is to get a crazy good modder to put all the Rain world creatures in Minecraft
They already have one.
I wonder if this project is going to be used as inspiration for a proper 3d model of the rainworld map, you guys have done incredible work
This really recaptures that feeling of exploration during your first playthrough
Rain World translated beautifully into 3D.
Truly a masterpiece in the making.
