    I don’t normally like busy material but I absolutely love the material you used on this. It’s a gorgeous chair. I’d have it in my sitting room in a heartbeat.

    Hi I'm going to have a go at upholstering my Thomas Lloyd Sofa I've took the front panel off the arm and it was held on with long staples covered by studs my upholstery gin dosnt hold that longer staples shall I just use fir trees many thanks by the way your videos are fantastic x

    What impresses me about you Maestro is that
    I pack the fabric before nailing (I hope to make myself understood) (I don't know English) Instead you (Not just an upholsterer like me) but GREAT ARTIST does not baste the fabric but nails directly immediately !!!!! What else:

    I would love to see how to pattern match. I have everything for my project. Im restoring my great grandmother’s chair that was handed down to me. I purchased a flower pattern and I’m so lost on how to match it, and/or what flower I want to use as a focal point.

    That is a absolutely beautiful chair !!! You made that look 👀 so easy !!! I wonder 💭 IF I could do that ? Should I just put the fabric over the fabric that is there ? Hmm 🤔 Your very really talented to make it look 👀 so gorgeous!!! I wish you were here to help me with this chair. My brother gave me this chair and ottoman and while it is very very cute it doesn’t go with my colors. It’s a dark red, gold and brownish color paisley not my colors at all !!! I have a grey 🛋 couch. A grey and white gingham would be cute 🥰

      Hi Gabby! Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comment, it means a lot! I wouldn’t recommend going over the old fabric but you can remove the old fabric, remembering how it was attached for each piece and then copy the old fabric panels on to the new fabric. Have a watch through some of my other videos - I explain the process thoroughly in other videos 😊 I hope this helps!!

    I love the chair. If I haven't reupostered before is it better to have a professional do it? How do I know how much fabric I need?

      Thanks, if you have never done it before, start small and work your way up. Don't take on something that will scare you away forever. Start with dining pads or something much easier. Hope that's helpful 👍📎⛏️📐✂️🧵

    This looks like a nice job of reupholstering. I just wonder if this chair is comfortable.
    Maybe it deceptive, but it looks like it would swallow up a person sitting on it.
    May I suggest that you show someone sitting on your pieces after you reupholster them?
    After all that really is the purpose of chairs and couches.

    Another great video- I learn so much about upholstery from you. I have a chair with square arms- would you sew the profile of the arms and then pull that over the arms?

      @@faceliftinteriors the cover is so threadbare I doubt I would be able to get it off without it disintegrating- The chair is old but sturdy; good bones that need a little love.

    beautiful work. Love this chair. Another really excellent video. Only thing is that I'm not 100% clear on how to fit the collars into the chair. I'd love to see a pattern match video too. My other question is what staple gun do you recommend?

      Sorry for the delay in replying Debbie, thank you for commenting! I’m planning on doing a detailed video on collars in a future video as I’ve not explained them in great detail. The staple gun I currently use is a Tacwise gun and have had no issues with it - hope this helps 😊👍🏻

I try to remove a lot of them but if you are able to leave some in without them causing any issues, then I leave them in. They can also be hammered down.     You have inspired us to completely redo 2x huge 3 seater couches... partway through the 1st one. Hope we get near as decent results as you do :-) ... what is that black material called that you used at 15:00, which goes under the cushion to save on material wastage I expect?
