For all the missteps these movies take I’ll give them this, their rendition of the Colossal Titan is amazing. Besides being gargantuan, the design really makes you feel how hot it is with its body almost resembling magma And when Eren tries to slice the nape it almost looks like he’s walking across magma with his boots melting as he moves
Idk why they keep making these. Seriously guys, just cause something's popular and succesful as an animation doesn't mean its gonna translate well, much less be better than the source material, in live action. Only outlier I can think of, funnily enough, is the Death Note live action (not the netflix movie. God no). From what I heard, it was actually pretty good. And I'm guessing that's partially due to its more grounded nature. Apart from the shinigami and shit, of course. As a side note, kinda glad Levi wasn't in these so they wouldn't butcher our boy too.
People liked the One Piece movie and it was not grounded. The issues here is not because of putting titans in live action. it is because of the storytelling.
I can’t believe you managed to watch these movies in their entirety. I do find it interesting that Eren was jealous of off brand Levi and Mikasa. That is incredibly in line with how the original ended in a character sense.
@@ghosteddrawsYT I commend your effort. I remember trying to watch these movies when they came out because I was desperate for aot content since the gap between season 1 and 2 was taking forever. I remember hating them even back then as a young teen that had no taste.
@@morgancarr9037 I went in fully knowing they'd be bad because i enjoy bad adaptation films. I was not expecting just HOW baffling these movies are! Truly astoundingly awful
THESE MOVIES, and the cyberpunk(?) Black Buter Live action adaptation at least _try_ to do something original with the materials they're adapting, but if that's they case why not just make something original that's _inspired_ by the source material rather than based on it?
If Japan has problems making their own anime adaptations what hope do we Americans have? XD (This is meant to be a joke. I know Speed Racer exists so don't get mad please.)
There's so many plotholes you'd think the Beast Titan took aim-

In this movie, everyone just gets sent to the back rooms after getting caught by a titan apparently
