Great video and great call out on the regenerative braking and auto pilot. I don’t have a model 3 yet but this is great to know. Thank you

To use the plugged-in power to precondition the car (warm it up) prior to entry, does the car have to be actively charging, or just plugged in? If I have a scheduled charging set, will the car still use the plug-power to precondition or will it use the main battery? Is there an indication it is using plug power or battery power?

Were the stock MXM4's on AWD (Stock tires) not good in the snow. Even for a small snow trip to tahoe? (3day).

They suck in over 5 inches of snow. I was in mammoth getting stuck in when they had 20 in but I was also on 4mm of thread ha. If you wanna go to deep snow , I suggest the Michelin Ice X tires. They are top tier in deep snow and ice.

Honestly man reat video. A lot of tips here for winter driving. Im picking up my SR+ today but its coming with only all season tires. My winter tires will be installed in two days. Is it safe to drive in the stock tires in canada?

I have driven a RWD rental dodge charger with all season tires during a snowstorm and it was drivable but I was almost getting stuck every time I came to a complete stop as well as the rear fishtailing while accelerating while this model 3 was in the shop for over 2 months getting repaired from sliding on ice and hitting a curb. Just put the car in chill mode and that should help to manage the power more easily during slippery roads.

But after all, they say that the life of the battery will be shorter. If you charge it frequently to 100%. Tesla itself recommends well to 80% apart from a special battery type

they changed the instructions to 100% with the lfp batteries. you must have the lithium ion battery which degrades worse than LFP.

Things like this is why I am still waiting for 400 to 500 miles version to release before I even think about buying a Tesla. I am a fan of Tesla but I definitely don’t want to get stuck while trying to flee the town during hurricane or snow storms. Cold weather can take away up to 45 percent battery range which is crazy and my relatives live 300 miles away from me where I usually go when hurricane hits.
