Great start of getting road work and land clearing.. stump pulling and digging. It took us about 3 months. Long days for sure. It's looking great

It's funny you mention that. At a family reunion and we were all searching to see which celebrity birthdays are shared with ours (month, day and year). My brother shares his with mini me from Austin Powers!

Like someone had already touched on, I was wondering why not keep the timber and use it for building, fire wood, and/or for selling? Is that type of timber good for building and the likes? And do you need a permit to start large fires?

The loblolly pines can be used for firewood. The cut wood dries out in 3 to 6 months and then starts to rot in about a year if left uncovered. Pine is easy to cut and easy to work with. We may eventually get a lumber mill and turn the logs into lumber. From what we've seen, it's a lot more work than most people think. We have been thinking of some uses to repurpose the logs. So stay tuned!

    Did they pay for lumber

If you are asking if the contractor compensated us for the trees cleared from the land.... they did not. We actually burned the trees because it was the quickest land clearing method.

@@RvParkBuilder u burned all that good lumber and all that money 💰

@@hildebertocarreiro9232 In hindsight, burning the trees may not have been the best decision, especially if we could have sold them as you seem to be indicating. Since then, we have done more land clearing for our septic system which will be shown in week 4 of 4 in this series. We DID save all the lumber this time and it's piled up on our property! Do you want to buy it or know someone who is interested in buying it?

@@RvParkBuilder Since you want to start a camp, perhaps you could process the wood for campfires and sell to your guests. Or as a perk, provide firewood to guests.
