My guy you've done it again! I'm gonna try the spear on my stone build and the rush spell for sure. Also as far a the gear...I use Guan Yu armor as well and you can put damage to heaviness on the armor. So if you look to the left of the words on gear you will see a shape with a color... heaviness damage has a red triangle 🔺️. You can only have one of those shapes at a time on that peice of gear...so if you took stone attack damage off 2 peices and replaced it with heaviness damage you can have it on Guan Yu armor. I love this one because I play stone with heavy armor.
Also if you equipped Guan Yu weapon in the second slot you will get the bonus damage for the weapon. If you press the martial arts button with B you do a weapon switch counter. It's just something fun I like to do is perry regular attacks while switching weapons. Makes me feel like a kung-fu movie

Just so you know the reason you can't get dmg with Heaviness to show is because you have stone dmg. They are both red skills and you can only have one of each color. Well outside of white you can have as many of those as you want.
If you’re trying to optimize overall damage with Earth Phase then I recommend using the yellow turban soldier armor. It has a locked in skill that gives you 36 stone power. Use the gear that gives the 36 then just add stone attack power to the gear that doesn’t have the 36. Then stone power damage 3.4% as a skill and earth phase cost reduction. You’ll get better results by getting the base stat higher then boosting the damage by percentages with skill’s. You overall damage will be higher.
I think you're specifically thinking of two pieces of the Yellow Bandit Set. The yellow Turban Bandit bracers and leg piece have this locked in. None of the Yellow Turban soldier pieces have this. Unless this is a change that happened in the past two weeks. You almost had me farming for it!
For gear with set bonuses, if you equip the sets weapon in the offhand it activates the next tier of the sets bonuses. You get the set bonus effects but not the special effects on the weapon, so no need to upgrade or change them!
@wolfmelody2787 the affixes on your offhand count towards your stats and also whichever ranged weapon you have selected to use. You can check that list of your bonuses to confirm.

When you switch to the sword, you lose that extra 12 hp but will gain the 17 flame attack. For example, the invictus serpent spear belongs to Zhang Fei’s set. If you equip Zhang Fei’s head piece and chest piece, the first tier of the set will activate. I got them all can confirm they are extremely rare tho I have two stones tho I wanted another lighting one seem to get them from late game gear mostly 3-4 star weapons bc they don’t come from gear I believe
Bruh, try using the dual rooster halberds with the enchantment 🤯🤌. My current earth build is ridiculous and am only level 53 currently but am doing more dmg than my level 115 toxic sword of Yu build lol
hey homie, do your research you can only have 1 damage type embedment per equipment, so you couldn't have stone damage at 3.1% plus damage to enemy with heaviness..... and this is not broken my earth build does more damage then yours..
you can go with yellow turban bandit bandana and braces for +72 stone and some heavy chest and boots, maybe white horse general for +8.6% martial arts spirit damage and just embed those with even more stone

I found a crazy tank build. Use enhance defence + absorb vitality + stone weapon. Prioritize spell duration and positive effect duration with any dmg (spirit or hp). Use a fast attack weapon (dual swords) and u get no flinch plus healing on every hit plus heaviness stacking. As long as u don’t get stunned or hit by a crit u can fight as long as u want without dying even against bosses
@@iDentityUS and if u want to fully negate damage entirely u can use illusionary shell with enhance defence and u can survive back 2 back crits from bosses. Again the problem u could run in to is low spirit basically wasting the shell buff if u get hit after casting
Going with Lightning build with Five colored Cudgel , with shock stacking on every armor, bonus lightning damage on Cudgel (apply lightning to weapon spell). And oh boi, it's busted. I am dunking on 5-6 level higher moral enemies with ease, just nasty amount of damage. Paired up with wood virtue spell which heals you for every attack and you get health back for days.
Little issue I found messing with earth stats. Most heavy armor your stuck at B tier weight. For example the Tiger armor at 31-32 (I forget) earth points gets a B rank but at 99 points.. it gets a B rank. Same with another set I tested that was almost 10 pounds lighter except it took 21 points to get to B weight. Made me sad haha
There is soft caps and hard caps in stats. When u put more points and reach the cap it lower the bonus which virtue gives. I read there is differences caps from virtue to virtue. Like wood's soft cap is 40 and fire's 30(im not sure for fire)
@@elamriti get spear from Zhao Yun(ally) and gear from Guan Yu once you raise their level to Sworn brother. Since you have killed Lubu already, check if you have soaring ursine mace(drops from mini-boss guarding the door before lubu encounter). that staff special attack claps cheeks. also, scales with earth
I'm working on a 4 elements spear build. Only jewel/embedment I need is damage to enemies with heaviness. I've gotten probably just about all embedments but I don't have any that have damage to ### afflicted enemy. All I seem to have is spirit damage to ### afflicted enemy. Edit: After further research it appears that only certain armor can have said effect.
Are we positive we don't get the skills from our offhand weapon? If so then what about the bows/throwing knives? Do u have to have the correct bow highlighted to get the skills?
@@billtaylor1656 when you are looking at your armor on the bottom right of the screen theres a % then a # under it. You want the color of those numbers to be green, if its yellow your dodge and block cost a ton more to use. I could be wrong though, iv just seen a lot of people with that issue, me being one at first haha
Also, try using the gear set you get with the unparalleled spear (currently can't remember dudes name lol) but only equip enough to aquire the Dmg amplification upon deflect skill cuz obvious reasons and watch how often your NOT activating an effect on yourself lol
I finally beat the game and I've experienced so many different builds the instigator of evil set is by far the best set to stack status effects on enemies but you won't get it until endgame. It's super good

It's really good. I also use fextralife wiki to look up sets to see where to get items and gear from.

You just have to find it on a weapon already and salvage it

If u take off the damage u got on the guan set u can put damage to enemies with heavy, because u van only have 1 kind of damage on your gear

I have a similar build but have damaged dealt instead of stone damage with stone attack power so I can do a combo then stonet/poison attacks

Heaviness is the status effect associated when you deal stone dmg and I think it slows the enemy while causing dmg over time

It’s a souls like game, these types of games require a bit of a higher skill gap but with practice you will eventually get better
Seriously the first boss have predictable attacks just be patient observe each boss attack pattern and you will succeed it is not that hard
