Piranesi was such a weird but fun read. it’s definitely a bit confusing off the start but that’s because the main character doesn’t know anymore when we know about his situation lol
omg i'm literally reading under the whispering door right now!! tj klune is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors, if you enjoy under the whispering door when you read it you'd definitely love the house on the cerulean sea! i love the way that klune explores characters and relationships and settings in relation to each other, and the writing style is absolutely gorgeous (to match the pretty covers !!) good luck with your tbr this month!
You should totally try reading graphic novels/ comic books! I've only read a couple classics (Maus, Persepolis and The Dark Night Returns) but I'd love to see you read some you're interested in!
New subscriber! And so happy to see another Melbourne book girlie on TH-cam. Our TBR shelves look sooo similar, so I'm excited to hear your thoughts! 😄
I spy Daisy Jones on your cart... I think you'll love it!! Especially with Ethan being a musician :) defo listen to the audiobook while reading !! Such a fantastic and immersive book. Love the change in content so far
Please do a reading vlog of Us against you, I’m so curious to hear your thoughts on it! Since it’s also winter where I live, I bought The Winners to finish the Beartown trilogy in july, I love it so much!!
i love your book cart/shelf !! im curious to see what you think of wildfire since im currently reading icebreaker and i have mixed feelings especially after reading an amazing book that i completely loved - the seven husbands of evelyn hugo
@@scrivspo 7 husbands is so good and devastating !! at least icebreaker is easy to read im almost done,, it's weird cause icebreaker is ya but the way the characters are described sometimes and the writing is just kinda childish
Your accent is everything😍 so happy I found your channel! I know you aren’t feeling romance this month but Wild love is amazing! I gave it a 4.75 but I do love Elsie’s books so I might be biased🙈
Powerless was just fine - I had fun reading it back in Jan, but it’s not revolutionary. Really similar themes/plot lines/plot devices to Hunger Games, The Red Queen series, the Air Awakens Series, and a touch of the Fire Sermon series. I’d actually recommend all of those over Powerless, though I never finished the Red Queen series. But if you’ve read those, it is still a fun read - I didn’t take it so seriously
you're totally right about Booklovers btw. I'm LOVING IT. It's the witty repartee for me. Piranesi was not my favorite, I'm seeing Markus Zusak and Daisy Jones on your TBR and need you to read them immediately, and let me know how you like the lost bookshop because that title intrigues me!!!
I really liked powerless! I just found your channel after you reviewed the books you read so far this year and almost all of our reviews were super similar! Wouldn’t say it’s the best writing ever but like other popular fantasies like fourth wing it was super easy to get into and an easy quick read for me! Also it is part of a series the second book reckless was released this week (also has a novella that’s within the same realm)
I think you will completely love or hate "Piranesi". There's nothing in between. 😅I love this book but many people think that it's boring. I am curious about your opinion. 👻 Greetings from Poland!
Hi! I’m applying for an editing job. I have never worked for anyone. My only experience is from my youtube channel. Can you give me any idea what range my hourly pay should be? I would be so grateful for any insight!!!!!!!!
Oooh I’d really be shooting in the dark as it depends on so many factors. Maybe start at $40/hr but add 30% for all your expenses etc so whatever that maths is 😂 but truly you get to set your own price so if that feels too low you should make it higher xx
If you're willing to read 1/3 of the book, absolutely hating it, to be rewarded with huge revelations and characters that penetrate--I recommend Trust, by Hernan Diaz. But I warn you, you have to suffer through the first parts. You are meant to hate it.
I’m based in the US but totally agree that fantasy & mystery/thrillers hit different in the cozy weather 🫶📖
Ugh they really do!!
OMG, I loved Piranesi. I thought it was going to go one way, and then it went a completely different way. Happy reading!
I’m sooo excited to read it!!!
Piranesi was such a weird but fun read. it’s definitely a bit confusing off the start but that’s because the main character doesn’t know anymore when we know about his situation lol
Lmaooo I kinda love that
LOVED when the moon hatched - I thought it was such a unique fantasy world/magic system and I love multi
POVs
Eeeeep I really can’t wait to read this one!!

the fact that A Deadly Education does not have a map will not be surprising anymore when you've read the book :)
Okay!! Good to know hehe

I love that so much!!
I'm so excited to hear what you think about piranesi! I've never read it but I hear raving reviews about it alllll the time

Thank you for this!!! I haven’t read any of these!
i had very similar feelings about icebreaker🙈 i had to DNF halfway through! a plot without conflict is barely a plot at all
Period

I preferred prison healer over powerless even though it was a little slow I’ve heard it really picks up in the next book and I’ll be reading it soon

Hi Harriet 🙂
🔥🫒 Eight books in 31 days. One every four days. Which book are you going to start with?
I’m going to decide once I get home from Japan!!!

heavy on the fantasy names are humiliating to say out loud 😭
So fucked hahaha
I'm reading Golden Son at the moment. It's a meh. Idon't find it good like some readers.
I loved the first book so much, so that’s sad to hear 😭😭
This was so fun! You should try out some African mythology books!
Omg this sounds so interesting, do you have any specific recommendations?
@@scrivspo Love in Color is a great place to start! It’s several short stories inspired by myths from around the continent
YOURE GOING TO LOVE PIRANESI (I hope 🥹)

Wow I am INTRIGUED
Piranesi😍😍😍
All the comments have made me SO EXCITED to read this!!!
i'm currently reading Wildfire and I think it's kinda boring, repetitive from Icebreaker and has no real plot :/ I'm having a hard time to finish it
Aww don’t force yourself to read it if you’re not enjoying it!
8 books in one month!? Why does everyone want to speed through books nowadays lol
I can’t speak for anyone else but I love to read in my spare time and I think there are way worse things to be doing 🥰
I go through reading sprints and then the complete opposite I'll go through mad reading slumps 😊
ChatGPT mention ruined this immediately.
Sorry you didn’t enjoy it!! I love using AI to help me in my everyday life 🥰
