Can we all just put this debate to rest already? I'm going to give everyone the *correct* answer, and I'm not going to acknowledge the guy who brought up the fourth dimensional character because they have nothing to do with the debate itself, which is who would win in a fight between Goku and Saitama. If Saitama, a third dimensional being, can defeat a fourth dimensional character, then it's PIS. Plain and simple. Goku is from the DB universe, and in current DB canon if you're more powerful on a base level than your opponent, you can literally just no sell any of their attacks no matter what properties they have. You can LITERALLY be immune to *actual time manipulation* if you're powerful enough in the DB universe. Therefore Goku wins.
What of Saitama's hypothetical PL since we're following DB verse logic. Are we just.. gonna pass over that? Matter of fact, what about Arale?? This is the kinda scenario that only benefits Goku, which is an unfair argument lol Since it's only about Goku and nothing of Saitama, it's kinda like entering a rigged casino
okay, so this is somtehing no one is saying but opm grows exponentially, everyone is just saying "oh he broke his limiter" but not pointing out what that means, it means when he is in a fight with someone he grows exponentially to match and eventually overcome them, meaning the prolonged fight of "ultra instinct dodge opm dodge" saitama will grow to a point were he can win, unless of course he dies before he can
It's good argument, but new chapters of OPM showed a character capable of transcending 3-dimensional state scaling to 4D, that alone make him stronger than all DB verse because they are limited by a 3-dimensional state so basically they can't touch him and do nothing to him while he can do whatever they want with them, as showed in new chapter he has a 4D space where he can manipulate and do whatever he wants, Saitama has a close feat, so if he can access that state that alone make him stronger than all DB verse, but in a 1v1 battle right now without 4D feat and infinite scaling, goku would win, but taking all that, saitama can almost solo the verse
I'm not making this post as a "you are wrong and should feel bad" type of post. I'm merely pointing out things that are sometimes overlooked, hopefully in a way that doesn't cause people to think I'm insulting them. Saitama can't survive extended periods in space either. He needed to hold his breath on the moon. The moons of Jupiter, where he was fighting Garou, mostly have atmospheres that are significantly thicker than that of our moon. In short, his "space breathing" feats are more that he is capable of surviving on gasses that humans generally aren't capable of surviving on, not him being able to survive in space. As a 12 year old, Goku was breaking light speed. Ironically, one of the manga panels that was shown, is one where he is literally dodging a laser at point blank range. They are very much not comparable speed. Saitama's best is not even worth mentioning compared to a heavily low balled Goku. Even if we said that Goku's speed never increased from the above mentioned light speed (which is obviously ridiculous.), just transforming into god form, using a low ball for the multiplier, would still clock Goku in at over 4x a VERY generous estimate for Saitama's best speed feat (God form is a low ball of a 2 million times multiplier, which I can go into the details of where that number came from. Saitama's best speed feat was the fart that sent him from the sun to the Earth in around a second, then I multiplied it by a very generous 1,000x in order to take into consideration that it was a fart and not him actually moving.). The whole point on the multiverse in Dragon Ball is actually not quite accurate. Though they call it "universe 7", and they say that they are destroying the universe, its actually FAR bigger than a universe. Just right off the bat, we know that there are multiple different time spaces within the living universe (the hyperbolic time chambers.). The fact that it contains multiple space times, means that the living universe is already a multiversal construct (to be a multiverse, there has to be multiple different space times.). But this is only scratching the surface. The canon guidebooks give a more detailed explanation of the Dragon Ball cosmology. In which it explains that the demon realm exists, which is a mirror of the living realm. It then explains how there is Heaven, Hell, Yemma's realm, Kais realm, outer space (macrocosm space, not space like in the universe.), and the Kaioshin Realm, which puts us at multi multiversal already. But it STILL doesn't end there. Those same guidebooks (again, canon guidebooks.), tell us that Heaven transcends space and time. This means that Heaven is an outerversal construct, as it exists beyond the concepts of space and time. And that STILL isn't all of it, but I won't go into any further detail, since this is already massive overkill for the power scaling compared to the OPM universe. The above point aside, the strength category is still ridiculously one sided, even when extremely generous to Saitama. Saitama's best feat was the serious punch squared, and immediately after that punch, it was directly stated that Saitama could go all out against Garou, and he would get back up. Considering that Garou matched that punch (which is what made it squared.), and he had no reason to be holding back, we know that Saitama's strength at that point is more or less in that ballpark. Using the manga panel that shows the destruction, we can count up that 16,500 stars were destroyed. However, lets high ball Saitama dramatically, and say that every star that was destroyed was actually a galaxy. So, Saitama was capable of destroying 16,500 galaxies, or he is very low multi galaxy level. On the other hand, lets massively low ball Goku, and say that his clash with Beerus in the BOG arc, is only universal, AND that Beerus provided half the force of the feat, putting Goku at half universal level. This would mean that Saitama's best is 1/ 100 quintillionth of Goku's power during the BOG battle. Its not even remotely close. The durability section was lacking a little bit. "he is really durable" isn't really an answer. Here are the facts. Goku on a massive low ball, was capable of dishing out and taking universe busting attacks during an extended fight. On the other hand, Saitama was physically reacting to low multi solar system level attacks in the Garou fight. The same high balls for Saitama, and low balls for Goku that I pointed out in the strength paragraph still apply here as well. Its not even remotely close. Base Goku wouldn't even flinch at something that would turn Saitama into a red mist. At the end of the day, Goku MASSIVELY outclasses Saitama in every meaningful way. Strength, speed, durability, skill, abilities, battle IQ, all of it. Saitama doesn't stand a chance.
