10 years of being the most entertaining Warhammer channel on TH-cam!! Congrats Winters and Stylus on yet another enjoyable game, can’t wait for the next one.
Congratulations on 10 years! I've been following your channel for about 3 years now off and on. You put out high quality content, and you explain different aspects of the game in a clear and concise manner.
great battle report. came down right to the very end. That's the best way for a game to come out. Congrats on 10 years. Looking forward to the next 10.
Thanks Winters and Friends for bringing so much joy and enthusiasm to our hobby. Your battle reports are often rather low key compared to some of the others out there but always perfectly narrated and with great atmosphere and camaraderie. Simply the best. Here’s to 10 more years!
Happy tenth anniversary of stellar content! What an amazing ten years its been for you! I got into the hobby just before 8th edition dropped sometime back in 2016, and looking for answers about whatever even is 40k, I found this channel, and greatly appreciated the quality of the content as well as the sincerity of Winters and his guests as to their love of the hobby. Here's to another 10 years and many more games, playing with tiny plastic soldiers!
I spent last night looking for a Chaos battle report - the closest one I found was Winters Worm Hole (That was an awesome 4 way game). Now - This battle report pops up, couldn't ask for better timing. These reports are awesome!
The csm army is very old school. I love it. Really feels like first born gone bsd. But compare to imperial sm and the bloated primaris and their silly names, they are obviously neglected. Great report. Thanks for the 10 year's!
Fantastic battle report as always! Always a joy to watch your Necrons and a good match against Chaos Marines! Perfect viewing for Sunday evening Winters and Stylus :)
I was thinking about those Monoliths during the game, and how tough they were, when I came across a post on Reddit yesterday. A guy was making the case for how fun the Heldrake is to use in certain circumstances (he even drew a picture of a Heldrake to accompany it). Anyway, there was a link to Unit Crunch there too, so in the spirit of his post, I plopped in the Heldrake and Monolith profiles and I was surprised. That Heldrake does a comfortable and reliable 10-12 wounds in melee! That isn't too bad at all!. It would be an astonishingly efficient way to finish one off after a round of shooting. Given the Necron teleportalling shenanigans, it has the speed to keep pressure on the board too. A highly specific example I know, but a fun and fluffy one all the same. That guy on Reddit would be proud.
Fantastic 10 years! Big legacy Winters, and not only a big legacy fantastic content and really taught me alot about 40k and brought me into the whole hobby!
2/3rds of my crons are painted and getting ready to play some games in feb. Been thinking about Hypercrypt or Canoptek court so this video has perfect timing!
As always a fantastic battle. Nothing beats winters style of filming. I watch and like the other studio type other content creators are making. But these are just top top top. Altho you can’t overwatch with a monolith
I feel like it loses iconic points putting multiple of them in an army as that feels like something that is supposed to be a centerpiece unit and lorewise rare enough that armies shouldn't have multiple in one army.
@@anvos658 I'm okay with that. It's not like the models on TT are a reflection of their true power in the lore. Otherwise, each space marine would have to kill orcs by the dozens.
@@anvos658in a couple of stories where necrons make an appearance it’s not uncommon for there to be multiple. They seem to be a weird necron mix between APC and heavy artillery in lore.
actually, the new rules they came out with state that titanic vehicles cannot overwatch, so you couldn't overwatch with the monolith in the chaos marines turn 3. It's in the balance dataslate from September 7th, 2023
Yeah, small things got missed. There's that, you can't do 'Storm Hostile' in battle round 1 and the Demolisher Cannon does D6 damage, not D6+1 But f it. He plays many armies, plays, films and narrates. Things get missed, it's all in good fun anyway
Stylus in turn 4 - when considering advancing, you can roll the dice and then choose if you want to actually advance or not. This is because, as the rules are written, the player can roll and then “may” advance that number of inches. It doesn’t say you “must” then do it.
You can't do storm hostile in the first round, it's written on the card itself. Also the annihilation barges have 2 weapons, you forgot to use the secondary one, which could've made a difference
1:22:01 you can’t shoot blast into melee. The Vindicator can only shoot at the other Monolith :/ would’ve been better if it could have moved onto the center objective
7 armies❤. And I thought I had plastic Crack addiction. I have 3 armies and I started my 4th for 2024. Sisters incoming. Been a Guard main since Rogue Trader days. Thanks foe the bat rep!
Dark Pact is overpowered imo. Winters had to be really savvy with sacrificial units to weather the storm and if he didn't have those two monoliths i'm sure he would have lost. There weren't even that many teleporting shenanigans.
I'll still say this, units shouldn't be removed from the board until the end of their team's first battle phase to counter balance going first vs second. I don't really get why an objective card has a rule that gives equal points to both sides, instead of just being whoever kills more gets 4. So stupid you can have multiple Monoliths in an army. Plus even at 350 that thing is under costed for what it brings. Gives way too big an advantage on an objective like this one have multiple units that require soo much concentrated fire to even have a chance of killing.
They have a bit of everything. Very durable units, very strong shooting, great close combat with certain units and have amazing board control. Easily one of her strongest factions at the moment.
Hi! English isn't my first language.. bur when you say " if I can dry that out, I could fertilise the lawn" ... is that another way of saying BS? 😂 made me laugh anyways...
@@wintersSEO we'll, glad I got the reference correct haha. Your battlereports is one of my top 3 favorites to watch! I live in Sweden, and it's dark and cold this time of year, so please keep the content coming and maybe I can survive another winter... with more winter...s... battlereports. Cheers
I think you would get much better games if you try to emulate the GW terrain. Lots of line of sight blockers makes it a tactical game and not just ludo. With the terrain base blocking line of sight the terrain can stil be pretty
😀😁😂🤣😃5 Smile's Rocking it up in the UK and winters some off us missed your dice 🙁😢😭 we hope that you will call table top titans and get that cut to your very special design 😊.
Happy 10 years. The dark pact goes of for lethal on a 5. The additional sustained from the dred only goes of on 6+. Seems most people are getting this wrong. If the 5+ would go for both, we wouldn't need 4 diffrent marks of the gods. Rest of the batrep is as usual. A blast of entertainment. MAXIMUM THANKS.
Incorrect. “as the result of a Dark Pact, each time a model in this unit makes an attack, an unmodified Hit roll of 5+ scores a Critical Hit”. Helbrute gives you both lethal and sustained both now on 5s
Never understood the game but i watch for the amazing scaled terrain beautifully painted amd the same painted models awsome!!...dont care i dont know the rules seems theres more rules in this game than what it takes to fly a jet???..happy to watch!!..though this would be great terrain for a Starwars game!!👍👍👍

Fun report. I think you forgot that anni barges have two weapons.
Congrats on 10 years!
Osteoclave means something like "Boneclearver", or, maybe, a "Bone Key". I guess that the second one is more appropriate in this case.
40:58 Now THERE is a tempting target! 🍪
Those Monoliths are horrific; which is good to see.
What a fun game and a pair of good sports.

Winters running Necrons always seems his happy place ❤
Cracking game chaps! Oh, those monoliths…!
Any painting tutorials on how you painted the necrons?
Absolutely superb gentlemen!
Is Stylus wearing a GI Joe bazooka t-shirt?
Yo Joe!
That chaos chapter is so cool!
Hype Crypt Legion? Now I imagine Necrons with sunshades and RGB light effect on their vehicles and weapons. And they are sponsored by Monster Energy.

1:22:01 you can’t shoot blast into melee. The Vindicator can only shoot at the other Monolith :/ would’ve been better if it could have moved onto the center objective
You're right, only Vindicators have the seige shield rule that ignores the restrictions to blast weapons.
How many armies does Worker number 14 have ? WoW ! If only he had the cupboard from " The Indian in the cupboard ". Yes that is a wicked movie !
Go Bots! Great lists, lovely looking armies. Thanks for sharing
Interesting battle report. I don't think the Vindicator Siege tank can shoot it's blast weapons in engagement range vs the monolith?
It can because of its Siege Shield.

Been looking forward to seeing Winters running Hypercrypt for Necrons! 😊
I love you Winters, but sponsons!! Sponsons sponsons sponsons. 😂
Good morning from the cold ashen wastes of Canuckia! Early upload this week, excellent! Sunday morning coffee, painting and dice w Winty!
Great stuff.😊
Happy 10th Winters
YES STYLUS IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!
What mad lad would run 4 Monoliths in a Hyper Crypt list
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Lascannons are S12 no? Wouldn't they would the Destroyers on 2's?
Purge DaFoe? What'd William do?
3:10 it’s pronounces “woo-stir-sheer”
You could have Fallen that tank out of combat to area denial and charge with the cultist, right?
Can you roll reanimation while in reserves? It's says only on the board.
It's a 1CP stratagem.
Winters does address this in the video stating that it’s a 1CP strat
Lol bested a 3-ctan tourney list earlier this month with my Thunderwarriors
I don’t think you used A Barges gauss canon at all?? It can have a gauss or Tesla cannon on top of the T destructor
Monolith can’t overwatch cuz titanic
@@palerider898 This has nothing to do with the annihilation barges.
Yeah I thought that too. No use of the underslung weapon
Love Stylus!

Winters you and Liam need to make up so that we can have a glorious collab again.
Demolisher cannon is D6 damage not D6+1. Great battle report tho!
Thanks for the content buddy, always a great time watching.
I thought the monolith only had 1 shot with d3 sustained
Also you cannot over watch with titanic units
@@Runificent It has 4 guns

Vindicator can via its siege shield ability
Sadly titanic can't overwatch any more, so lucky the monolith didn't do anything there.

Erm, with the mark of tzeentch isn't it Sustained Hits on 5s and lethals (from helbrute) on 6s?
It’s lethals on 5+ with the mark of Tzeentch, then the helbrute give lethal and sustained on criticals so you get them both on 5+.
