Well covered. I used Bluespark on my previous car and I am impressed with it that I also use one on my current one. It is specifically tuned for my vehicle providing an extra 40hp substantiated on a dyno result for me. What I like about it is, that it is safe and won't screw up my car. I don't trust ecu tunes yo interfer with the inboard pc directly. Besides. It is much more expensive and does not provide much more on gains to justify paying more than double.
If you want to flash ECU than buy a similar ECU spare one and messing around clone and flash it not a pure ECU . your stock ECU always keep intact just keep it safe if modified ECU brick you never get stuck because you didn't destroy your original ECU .
....although, it was explained well...however, it would be great if this was explained in a rudimentary way since some folks may not know/understand the (industry) terms/jargons.
Best comparison video on YT. Thorough and straight to the point.
Thank you!!
Thanks I'm glad it helped!

Amen Bluestone ! Confusing as all get and Yes I am new the 335i World.
please try MG flasher and compare it to bootmod3
I just looked into it. I think MG Flasher is only for B46, B48, B58 engines only. I have N55. Are you thinking of using this on your car?
@@NWAuto yes, on the 440i. But no one has even compared bm3 / MG on those platforms.
What about Dinan ?! They have flash tunes now
Haven't looked into the Dinan flash tune. But I assume it works the same way that BM3 and MHD work. Cloud based flash tunes are becoming very popular.
Why does it matter if the dealership knows that I have a tune?
It doesn't unless you were planning on making a warranty claim. And if you're out of warranty then I wouldn't even recommend going to the BMW dealer
MHD is better then BM3 .. I had both.
What made you prefer it?
Why
