ABOUT ME
- I'm Cambodian and Chinese.
- I was born in November of 1983 and raised in Houston, although my heart lays in between Houston and Hawaii.
- "OG KPOP STAN": I've always used the term "OG" (supposedly "original gangster") to define being old-school, and I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Kpop was my coping mechanism from the bullying I experienced in my younger years and it's just stuck by me ever since. Also! Just to be clear: me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" doesn't mean that anyone who's listened to kpop later than me is inferior. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time.😄
- I was a hiphop dancer for about 7 years. I did the whole crew thing, auditioning thing, competition thing, choreography thing, dance instructor thing, so I have some experience in that field and I hope to be able to share some perspective from my experiences for y'all to see the extra things that I appreciate about a video when I point them out.
- My videos can have quite a lot of cuts in editing and/or my eyes will unnaturally blink rapidly sometimes. This is because of my neurological disease that came with my lupus nephritis (posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome). My thinking abilities and speaking abilities struggle to align at times.
- Yes, that's Jack Sparrow's ring that I always wear in my videos. I've been a Pirates of the Caribbean fan ever since I rode the ride for the first time ever in Disneyland when I was a kid.🤓

I'm not a huge twice fan. I'm a casual once. This song could change that. This song and choreo are amazing. Love your reactions.
I find it a bit sad that even if Twice is famous and one of the top girl group in South Korea, there are people who diss them for no real reason. The members are always improving and working hard and this video clearly shows how tone their skills are. It is also unfortunate that the pressure is difficult for them (last year Mina was on hiatus and this era it is Jeongyeon). I'm not a ONCE but I still like most of their songs and just wanted to point out their talents and contribution to Kpop. Fighting!

Don't apologize for the rewinding; I love hearing your explanations of the choreos especially because I have 0 dance background. Also have you watched the dance practices with scribble effects? I know it kind of takes away from the raw choreo but imo its so dope how you can see more clearly the pictures/gestures the dancers are portraying to someone without the eye of a dancer.

This shows why dance practice video is a great idea, we already know from their MAMA performance that its great but with this we can see a lot of elements in the choreo that we did not see in MAMA since the camera goes on diff focus and not on the group as a whole unit.
When Jeongyeon returns i think the choreo will look more synchronised

My binge for tonight ends here. Cry for Me may just be my top song because of the crazy perf they dropped on everybody at the awards... then, THEN they dropped the choreo 2, and I completely died. It's IN-F+++ING-SANE! The ver 2 shows their faces and the emotion in their dancing, it's a goddess's enchantment.

I love how they make treat the choreography of every song a "musical."
It's not a mere "sing and dance" performance.
It's a musical in which your vocal performance and body movements have to convey emotions and adjust constantly as the music runs.
I hope you can react to Fancy and Dance The Night Away (it is one of their best song and the synchronization is really good)
Not being negative to other girl groups but TWICE's choreographies are the best of all time K-pop history.. not just how synchronised but also they are so much visually satisfying too
(Same goes for Itzy too or it's just jyp girlgroups are all legendary)

I love the way you analyse and discover all these groups and dances and I was hoping of you could react to Gfriend. They are known to be the OG queens of synchronisation and vocals. They had a comeback not too long ago with MAGO and they have a blindfold dance practice. I hope you can check those out as well as some other dances like Apple and Labyrinth. They're also the makers or the 2x speed dance or they made it popular so I hope u can watch them too. love your reactions xx
I'm sure someone said this in the last few days, but the 2nd version of this choreo with the camera movements and the polish, is SO GOOD.
The beginning arms/upper body isolations are trying to express thorny branches (i.e., concept film) and actually does well in prepping the mood for the entire music in my opinion - dark, sharp, dangerous. Well done.
Twice gets lot of criticism for cutesy but what people don't understand is that Tzuyu and Chae were TEENAGERS then and probably wanted to focus on music that's appropriate to their age - fun and wholesome (it's cute cause well, that's just how they are duh). Since the youngest in the group grew out of their teenage years (prob around Fancy), they started showing more diversity in their music and they're starting to find their comfort and showing their true talent and performance with this song.

When they were asked why they're too synchronized. Cy answered it's bcoz of the closeness that they have... The bond between the members makes them move as one..
