Wow, u must be a natural born cricut-eer and videographer and card-maker. Thanks for teaching this old dog some cool new tricks! I only came to figure out how to foil then cut... you just showed me how to print, scan, draw/foil, then cut. That was VERY cool!! TFS
Amazing tutorial!! You did a great job! Your invitations are gorgeous. I like how you explained step by step directions and didn’t rush through it. Your tutorial is the best one I’ve seen.
I attempted to do some sweet 16 foil invitations, after 2 invitations that was the end of that way too much I just didn't have the energy. You are very advanced and your invitation is beautiful.
I can't believe you are new to Cricut. Your knowledge of Cricut is amazing, your video is perfect and your invitation is awesome. Best of luck, excellent in every way!
Is there any reason why you used the foil quil instead of the cricut foil transfer kit? I would just like to know if you prefer one than the other. Thanks so much!
Hi Kim, I made this video in September of 2019 and it looks like the Cricut foil transfer kit was released in September 2020. I haven't tried the Cricut foil kit, but it looks cool!
Quick questions? You are using print to cut paper for invitations? 2nd was that expensive seeing how many guest were attending? Thank you your tutorial was amazing!
I did use the print then cut setting for the invitations, but I took out the blade because I did not want it cutting it for me. I think what was the most expensive for me, was not having a tutorial so before I got it down I messed up a few foils and cardstock paper. Once I got it down it was a breeze.
Hi Yasmine, I loved your wedding invites soo much you inspired me to go out and try diying mine. I've beeng working on it for 3 weeks now, and I still can't edit the image/template to be able to delete the unwanted information and keep just the outline of the flowers like you did. PLEASE, HELP!!! Cricut doesn't let me upload or save as jpd in order to make changes...So frustrated. :(
Hi Jacqueline, I will be making another video in about a week or so making another kind of foil invite. I will try to go more into the design part of the invitation and hopefully it will be helpful.
Hi Yasmine, thank you for responding so quickly. I'll be on the look out for your new video. I love how well your explained the steps on this one, just for some reason I can't seem to upload my template into it in order to make adjustments. Thanks again. :)
Thank you for your tutorial! I want to foil quill with my cricut and after that I want to cut the cardstock. It is a mess because when I pause it's difficult to took the foil away. Do you have a tip for me?
In my video I removed my blade from cutting the outside but if you'd like you can leave the blade in to cut whatever design you'd like. the foil "draws" and the blade cuts so you can still use both at the same time.
Hi Yasmine. I really love your video. It’s hard to believe you’re a beginner to Cricut. You are amazing! I’m just curious. Do you have to use an inkjet printer or a laser jet printer to foil quill? Also, I can’t tell from the video whether this is embossed. Is it embossed?
Thank you so much for sharing. Your invitation looks beautiful. When you made the 2 jpeg files. Did you name them differently? Etsy shop, do they have different styles of invitations? My niece is getting married end of next year. I have time to learn 🤓.
Yasmine Saenz I will have to watch your video several times and write some notes. Again, thank you for sharing with us. Amazing talent. Congratulations to you both.
Hi Yasmine! I am interested in the foil quill that you used in this video. I have seen the We R Memory Keepers quill in the store, but it is a pen type of appliance. Is that the same as the one you used in your video? If so, does it come apart so you can use it in the Cricut? Does it come with instructions on how to use it with the Cricut Explore Air 2? I am knowledgeable about foiling with a laminator, but I have never seen anything used with the Cricut before. Can you elaborate?
Hello Donna, The foil quil I bought isn't a pen type. They look more like attachments. I will post the amazon link to the ones I bought. I am unsure if the pens come apart since I have no purchased those. www.amazon.com/We-Memory-Keepers-Embossible-Party/dp/B0011NB4G4/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3C1PBK3A2UH3X&dchild=1&keywords=wermemory+keepers+foil+quill&qid=1589509118&sprefix=we+r+memory+keepers+foil+q%2Caps%2C1209&sr=8-1
Hi Yasmine, After I posted my question, I looked the quill up on TH-cam, and I have learned a lot! The quill pen is just another version of the quill, that you can use on it's own. I also found out that it is made for the Explore as well as the Maker. Thank you for helping me. You did a great job in your video! I am going to try to make some invitations for a bridal shower, but first I have to get the quill!
What type of printer did you use to print out the invitations? I’m thinking of purchasing a template as well but wasn’t sure if my printer would be good enough
if you haven't purchased a printer yet, you can also upload your template to any printing shop even Staples or Office Depot and they can print it out in cardstock paper that normal printers would have a harder time processing. :)
Hello. I purchased a 12in by 96 in roll of foil to make my invites and i just had enough. Link below: www.amazon.com/dp/B07MYRY1MK/ref=twister_B07Q9CD3KY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I purchased the We r memory keepers brand of heat transfer foil. They sell them in different sizes and packages but I will attach the one I specifically bought. www.amazon.com/Blossoms-Blooms-Boutique-Floral-Tablecloth/dp/B07MYRY1MK/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=we%2Br%2Bmemory%2Bkeepers%2Bfoil&qid=1586895819&sr=8-4&th=1&psc=1
This looks amazing! I'm new to Cricut and been researching it, just wanted to know: could you use this on acrylic or the clear flexible card stock to create those clear wedding invitations? Or is it just best to use it with normal card stock/paper? Thanks!
Hi Yasmine, I bought a template and went to the program you used, Templett.com. Can you tell me how to use this site, and do you have to pay for it? Thanks! Donna
EXCELLENT VIDEO....
Thank YOU for sharing this... Great Teacher.

Wow wonderful explanation ⭐️
Amazing tutorial!! You did a great job! Your invitations are gorgeous. I like how you explained step by step directions and didn’t rush through it. Your tutorial is the best one I’ve seen.
Thank you so much.
I created a design on Canva. I tried it with Tcraftx brand hot foil and it did a great job. This was a very educational video. Thank you very much.
I attempted to do some sweet 16 foil invitations, after 2 invitations that was the end of that way too much I just didn't have the energy. You are very advanced and your invitation is beautiful.

You did great! Thanks for the video. I'm going to a Cricut class tomorrow. Looking forward to making stuff with my new toy.

Can you make acrylic invitations with a cricut air 2?
I am new too using cricut too! can you show how to do a foil transfer on a vellum paper using the cricut machine?
Hello nice video,
Can you make this step with stickers too?
Would you show us this steps with stickers ??
Hello Yildiz, sticker making is different. I believe there are other videos that can better show you how to make stickers. Sorry.
Hey! What printer did you use ? Amazing invitation ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! this was a very helpful tutorial
I'm glad it could help!
I have the same concept template also bought, but I am trying to do this on an arcrylic instead. I can't seem to figure it out..any suggestions ideas?
Ok so sorry I don't have any experience with acrylic
Thank You!! 🤗
Amazing
Thank you
I don't know what I am doing wrong because my cricut does not mark the lines well and it comes out faded :(
i am not completely sure but you might need to mess with the pressure settings.
Great video!

Yasmine Saenz ohh that’s amazing that you used cardstock instead of the cricut print then cut paper thank you so much!
Great job
Do you know if I can use this on vinyl?
How to calculate wedding card making (Materials) cost for selling?
Sorry I did not sell them. I made them for personal use.
Great Video! Have you tried this on acrylic yet?

Hello can we print with any kind of laser print or it should be heat transfer print ?
I print with a regular printer and then used the foil quill.
@@yasmine7003 I have silhouette cameo and not cricut Will it Work or not ?
@@zazi1125 sorry I have no experience with the silhouette and cannot give you any input with that.
Can I do it with Cricut Explore Air2? ❤
Yes I used the air 2. 😊
@@yasmine7003 thanks a lot 🥰
great tutorial... My english is not very well but i got it jejeje, thank you!!! what kind of paper is?
How did you get the foil to align together with your leaves?
I’ve tried doing this and the foil wasn’t aligning with the invitation.
Thank you for your tutorial! I want to foil quill with my cricut and after that I want to cut the cardstock. It is a mess because when I pause it's difficult to took the foil away. Do you have a tip for me?
I had the same problem, that's why I took out the blade and just cut it using a paper cutter. Takes a bit longer but a little less stressful.
Hello! Loved your video! Your a natural! Was wondering if you have figured out how to foil and cut?
In my video I removed my blade from cutting the outside but if you'd like you can leave the blade in to cut whatever design you'd like. the foil "draws" and the blade cuts so you can still use both at the same time.
Yasmine Saenz thank you so my for replying. I’m making tags so I didn’t wanna make a mess with the foil.
Hopefully removing the blade works!
are you using cricut maker or explore?
I'm using the explore air 2
Can I send you my invite because I have no idea how to use cricuts!?
what is the Cricut accessory the holds the pink quill?
Amazing vid!! May I ask what app are u using in editing the invitation design?
I used cricut design space and the other one was the one that came with the template I bought off etsy. It's called templett.com.
What setting did you use in design space so that you can use the foil pen?
I used draw for the pen.
Hi Yasmine. I really love your video. It’s hard to believe you’re a beginner to Cricut. You are amazing! I’m just curious. Do you have to use an inkjet printer or a laser jet printer to foil quill? Also, I can’t tell from the video whether this is embossed. Is it embossed?
It doesn't matter what kind of printer you have. I have inkjet but the foil quill does not rely on the printer. It is not embossed.
How much time it Takes to gold foil?
It really depends on your design. Mine took about 3 minutes.
Thank u for the tutorial. I learn a lot. We can be friends if you want.
How do you do these in bulk?
It looks so beautiful!!! I love the outcome. 👏👏👏👏👏 what type of printer did you use to print the wording on the invitations? Ty!!!
I used a Canon ix6820 which is a little pricey but the ink lasts forever so it ends up being worth it!
@@yasmine7003 i really appreciate it, ty!!! If its worth it, I will get it. Ty!!!

I put a link to the etsy invite I got. I think she makes different things. I did name the 2 jpeg differently.

Fab video, what software are you using for your invitations?
I program that came with the template that I bought from ETSY is called Templett. The ones I used to Cricut is Cricut design space.
Hi! Do you know how many rolls of foil you needed for your invitations? I saw you wrote 40, so just seeing how many I’d need for me!

What foil did you use for this? I can’t seem to find foil that’s not adhesive foil. I’m working on mine this month and you’ve been a great help!
