  • Keep your tablet or Kindle protected with this handy tablet sleeve, made to measure for your device! There is a useful pocket on the front in which to keep a mobile phone, small notebook or pens.
    To gauge the measurements, add 1” [2.5cm] to each side of your tablet and 0.5” [0.75cm] to the top for the front of the sleeve, then the same width but add 7” [18cm] to the back to allow for the flap. The pocket is the same width but approx. 2/3 the height of the sleeve front.
    Measurements and cutting instructions for an iPad which measures 6.5” x 9.5” [17cm x 24cm]:
    1 outer and 1 lining fabrics each measuring 8.5” x 10” [22cm x 26cm] for the front
    1 outer and 1 lining each measuring 8.5” x 17” [22cm x 44cm] for the back/flap
    2 lining fabrics each measuring 8.5” x 7” [22cm x 18cm] for the pocket
    26” x 17” [66cm x 44cm] wadding or fusible fleece [I used 80/20]
    1 large button
    Elastic hair bungee
    Note: If you’re using faux leather or cork you won’t be able to press from the outside, so try a little steam from your iron, or iron from the inside if your lining is cotton.

    So I made one this evening. Didn’t know I needed one ‘til I watched the live. I’m so pleased with mine. I’ll definitely make some more. I’ve encouraged my hubby to make one for himself as he can sew. Thank you as always Debbie. Lovely project. 🌸

    I made one from another video and put a zipper. Didn’t allow for the allowance across the top so my laptop didn’t fit! I’m going to try your tonight and hopefully my calculations will be correct!
    Thank you as always!

    I like the shape of this one. I had made one of your envelope flap patterns which is great. I like the edition of the button & loop. Could you use Bosal for a firmer case? Loved the live & thank you for the extra tutorial 😍

      Bosal would work but you may need to trim the seams. Glad you liked it!

    Made this but turned around the lining is on the outside. 😢. It would help if your front fabrics and lining were not so similar. Thank you.

    Hi Debbie, I'm quite new at this sewing stuff, but I really think I can make this one, thanks to your very nice video. I have a Nook reader that needs a case. Could you please tell me what tiny iron you are using, and where you got the handy board you're using for pressing? Would really appreciate it. My little iron doesn't get hot like yours seems to. Thanks

    • @debbieshore
      @debbieshore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you don’t need to stitch, the 505 sticks or together
