This was a well done interview. I just wished they would have the interview indoors. But overall I really enjoyed the questions that were asked and Mel C's answers I love to listen to her.
Wise, eloquent, beautiful, love how she encapsulated essence of TOTP in 30 seconds, musically and vocally outstanding (hard work required - which she always advocates), amazing.
It's bizarre how the Americans think of them primarily by their nicknames. And to think they made them up. As she said, it came from a magazine, the media picked up on the names in general and accelerated them. Their record company didn't start capitalising on the names until the second album
The interviewer obviously not a Spice Girls fan. She should’ve researched or something in preparation for this interview. She’s not connecting to each and every response of Mel C.
What a horrible interview, wasting half of the time making questions when the answers are widely known by now, like the nicknames origin, Simon Fuller, first impressions of the girls. Even Mel C could tell the interviewer didn’t read the book when she asked about the zigazigah meaning. Thumbs down 🤷♂️
As for me, those questions are OK since there are new generations of fans that would like to know more. What cringed me the most is the interviewer, it clearly shows that she’s not a spice fan.
