No purebreds. Mixed breed cats need homes! I like mixes that look like Lynx point Siamese shorthair or American Shorthair tabby. I have a beloved orange Norwegian Forest long hair cat mix right now. I brush him, but he still sheds like a fur machine.
My Jack is also a fur machine! And he doesn't like being brushed, so it's a challenge, I own two robotic vacuums to try to keep up with him. :)
All cats need homes and deserve love. There are valid reasons for choosing purebreds as well as mixes. This video makes clear why some breeds are better than others for different lifestyles. I personally prefer the highly intelligent, talkative and engaging Siamese but ultimately adore any and all types of felines and appreciate their breed diversity and beauty. Mixed or not. As such, I don't preach to others about what they should choose.
My overall favorite is the long hair siamese or lilac siamese. I've had 1 of each, they were both lovely friends and play buddies. Miss them both.
Now I have no cats😢 but help care for 2 black cats that are working at a hardware store. Both of these boys are friendly and playful.
the very first cat I ever lived with was a Siamese. She was sweet and I remember she used to bring us a lot of "presents".. (mice, lizzards, etc.) That was more than 40 years ago now. Sweet Siamese!

I've got a tabby female and a rumpie Manx he is white and ginger someone dumped him on our property about a year and a half ago he doesn't like to squabble and is very vocal all the time 😂😂 but I love both to bits ❤❤❤

For me its Ragdolls love theyre temperaments and they are loving and playful i did my research and made sure they were the breed for me
I did the same, I have had a Ragdoll in my life since 2005. I love them dearly, I also did a lot of research before I chose. :)
My fav would be a Birman if I could afford one.
You should look around in your local shelters, so many times pure bred cats are put there for many reasons.

If you're shopping around for a cat, sit there with the litter of kittens and your cat will pick you! I am a firm believer that your animal chooses you not the other way around. I've had mine seven years and he come crawling out of a towel of his brothers and sisters curled up in my lap and crashed and he's been with me ever since. I didn't even see the other ones
