Thanks for watching. To answer your question: 1) I wasn't sampling; I just played back a pre-recorded sample which i loaded into a flex machine. So no real-time sampling involved in this video. 2) My trigs are in Echo Freeze mode (th-cam.com/video/kzU9ja6jqTA/w-d-xo.html) so that I can glitch my tracks :)
thanx for the answer. ok i'll see this like other tips you gave ! i don't know if you think this pertinent but to organize tracks between banks & parts sometimes i do this : in BANK A, trigs 1 to 4 will use part 1, trig 5-9 ^part 2, trig 9-12 part 3, trig 13-16 part 4. best regards
I try to think about parts as controlling the entire top part of the OT (screen + underscreen buttons + data entry knobs + scenes) and patterns controlling the bottom part (trigs, and their respective parameter locks and scales). Once you get that figured out, the rest is (relatively) easy.

i'm trying the ''bank=track'' approach so i can have sixteen tracks/banks in a live session but i think i find it somehow limited AND complex for studio use at the same time. on the other hand i dont like changing projects in the middle of a live set. guess i need more time with it
Yes, I do the same thing, so that I don't have to switch between projects live. You can use the song arranger to conveniently set your BPM changes and then immediately switch to the pattern mode. Thanks for watching!
Hi! Thanks for watching. The Focusrite is my main audio interface (it's extended to 16 channels with Behringer ADA8000) so all my hardware instruments are recorded separately. The cool thing is that if you set it up for "zero latency tracking" and send this setting to the interface it lets the signal through even when not plugged to a computer so it doubles as a real-time mixer. Pretty cool!

The use of parts is still a confusing thing.

@Late Night Beats Regarding zero latency setting with computer turned off, is it letting thru only the Focusrite inputs, or also the ADA8000 inputs?
i wish i could just change a pattern and load a different sound straight out of the box, like kits on the analog rym/four...
I guess samples take more time to load into ram than sysex :)
