after2020 all ships using LSFO containing sulfer less than 0.5% . inside ECA line sulfer content in fuel should be less than 0.1%. right?

I just want to ask how to check which port or channel are fresh or salt water. For example if vsl will be passing from houston ship channel how we can check this channel is salt or fresh water ?Thank you so much in advance
In guide to port entry u will have density / and sometime also in enp u will have density of water at port

Brother it’s not in one particular Enp, check the enp for the port you are going to u must find in that Enp or if you have guide to port entry you can use that to find density of water
i didnt understand what are the usercharts, could someone explain me pls? why should I get them and use them, and where can I find out wich one is I have to use
User charts/user map these are basically an overlay which we as user make on the chart for markings
For example you want to mark on ecdis call master point/ Keep clear/ Give 1 hr notice to Er/ call Vts / Navigationa markings on charts etc how will mark such things on charts?? So for this we have to make additional layer in which will do these marking

HOW DO YOU CALCULATE DISTANCE TO AND FROM ECA AREA?
you must know till where is your eca limit, if not sure then refer marpol annex 6 and then via ecdis Measuring tool measure the distance
What are the user charts??
User chart is an additional layer which we create to put marking on ecdis and for other such things

Brother best thing is in Marpol special areas are mentioned but if u want to see the Pictorial version then just type on google marpol special area Map/Poster u will find the different Posters on google for reference
