Nice to see proper safety equipment while tuning and no one around @gintani they will have 1200Hp Custom Mclaren doing full rips and kids walking around the Dyno without even ear protection.
They need to see some videos when the Dyno Explodes.

Very Impressive. I would however like to see the 80+psi Red Demon DSM running a Billet 4G63 on a Dyno before I vote for most powerful 4cyl.
I'd say make it interesting. No billet blocks. Oem blocks with internals and a girldle if neccesary

Would probably be quite a bit faster with an auto.

@@marcelojr8833 Oddly, I never mentioned the Red Demon. That is not the car I was referring to. The car I was referring to is in the door slammer which falls into the Comp class, which is the same class Red Demon would be in at an NHRA division event. The car I was talking about is a 4 cylinder, and obviously makes way more power than the Red Demon, or the one in this video... When either of them take the record, then they can brag about putting the most power down. Red Demon is less than 200 pounds heaver than the record holding car. There is very little weight difference...
@@marcelojr8833 The "Red Demon" is almost all carbon fiber with a tube chassis, and plastic windows.
It's also the first 6 second AWD 4 cylinder on the planet, and holds the record for the fastest manual transmission on the planet.
this is not the most powerful 4cyl, bre makes 3000hp 4 bangers for a long time and gm 20 years ago made 2000hp engines with a single turbo 2.0l ecotec stock cobalt cast alu block that still hold the record of the quickest 4 banger, this setup is insane for sure but dont claim to be the best when its not the case please
When he said they use V8 components BRE was the first company that came to my mind and that was like 25 years ago but yes it was an awesome video and thanks to Fuel Tech for bringing great products at great prices.

I've been commenting forever for him to get a b5 1.8t audi to build the shit out of, or a 2.7tt although that doesn't handle BIG power unless you get an AZR block with is about 10k for a bare block. Stock 1.8ts are 75 bucks in the junkyard and you can basically sneeze one to make as much power as most his non monster Honda motors

You can't really compare them to this. They are doing what they do with stock engines using aftermarket parts. This is something that is loosely based on an existing engine, but made specifically to do what it's doing. A 3.5L boxer 4 cylinder made of billet from top to bottom. They're all doing what they're doing with what they have to work with. If Boosted Boi Kyle had the bankroll for an all billet K-series, I bet you'd see the first 6 second MR2 real quick. It's hard to compare because of that. If you got the money for it, the only thing stopping you is your imagination

Hey guys FYI Jett Racing 4G63 2.2 litre compound setup in 2018/19 made 2200hp @wheels on dyno at 100psi boost
Seen it with my own eyes but easy to check with Collin
So done few years back at over 2000hp

Wow… Great work! they’ve come a long way with the flat 4 development, its definitely no 1641 with 041 heads and a kadron exhaust 😆. It would be cool to see a bug body on it- kind of like the old outrage car that used to run in the U.K.
Considering a beetle is basically shaped like an airplane wing, it would leave the track and take a while to come back to earth, lol.

The title is BS. There is nothing VW about that engine. Not the case, heads, crank....Nothing. Judging by the displacement the bore spacing is probably not the same as any Type X engine. VW group had absolutely nothing to do with this design. The title is close to an outright lie and the truth.
A lot of people refer to protruding or boxer engines as Volkswagen engines. Usually older folks and usually to not be talking literally.
Calling the a VW engine is about the equivalent of calling a 959 cube nitrous engine a big block chev. The lay out is similar but there are no interchangeable components

This is super bad ass … although not the highest HP .. mazworx in Florida and jet racing in Australia have some 2.0 liter engines making mind blowing power with less displacement

Goddamn, my first car was a '73 super beetle with a fresh 1600 in it and off the line it was kinda quick. A motor like this would render a beetle completely unsafe and terrifying to everyone whose balls are anything less that 10 on the MOS hardness scale. Bravo.
Here in Brazil we have some Beatles street legal with 600whp and 800whp+ on dragstrip
Amr500 as a pull through supercharger is a real popular first mod because it's bolt on boost for $600. Then they use the porsche engine swap and run the same supercharger with a smaller pully and a bigger carb

just started watching these wondeful vids and question to Anderson drinking MATE are you from Brazil or Argentina? we love Brazil just not as soccer opponents but we love you brothers. Love a detuned flat four like that for my Honda cafe racer :) even with a more Petty capacity than Pety Fuser uses!

It's a GOOD effort and it takes A LOT just to get there where it's at.
HOWEVER, this engine, at a massive 3.5L size it's still dragging it's feet with it's HP numbers, even accounting for 20% drivetrain losses.
Although it's being boosted it still falls short of the 100HP/100cc mark which happens to be one of the most widely used measuring sticks when it comes to power dense I.C.E.
Maybe it'll get there in the future ? Good luck to the owner and race crew.

@@tiagoabreu4107 the latest TRC video is titled 2000hp, although on rewatching that’s not specifically mentioned in the video. It was running an estimated 1800 a few years ago though and they’ve upped the boost since then so it wouldn’t surprise me if it was 2000. No proof though.

I've looked at maybe all of the engine configurationa & degrees, and the boxer 4 makes the most sense

Like to SEE the actual engine itself. Nevertheless, this is an accomplishment at these power levels. "A part is only as strong as it's weakest link". So I can only imagine all the time/work to get to this point. Congrats gentlemen. I'd like to mention another 4 banger. During the 80's, Ford came out with Probe roadrace car for the IMSA series. Which used a 1.5 ltr 4cyl making over 1000-h.p. Car would get pole position, make it through practice, but usually would never finish. Saw it, it made Lap and a half after green flag dropped. That engine, might've been on a stock block, not sure, had a corporations $$$ thrown at it, to not succeed. So yeah, yer guy's is really an accomplishment!
But 1800 HPs ain't enough to even drive to the parking lot, guys?!

There are Honda K series engines out there making 2500 HP. Fueltech is the only way to go. I bought all my Fueltech through Real Street Performance
