You need a bit more than just a PCie card for running DMA. There would be a fuser, a kimbox for the input (kbm) and also something else to convert the input to controller. Could quite easily be a network card. I agree it’s a bit bait, but not confirmation in any way.

I got the zotac 4090 GPU because the msi one I had was giving me constant packet bursts for MWIII. Someone on the reddit page mentioned that they never get any packet bursts after switching to zotac. So I switched and, sure enough, I never get any packet bursts. I have no idea why or what the difference is, but it works great with no packet bursts. You can Google it and find the reddit threads. There are several of them. I see more streamers now using zotac, and I'm assuming this is why. That's why I switched, at least.

Why would anyone, especially a gamer use anything at all other than the GPU for video and this isn't 1997, none of those other things you mentioned are relevant in 2024 and are all integrated through GPU as well. For those thinking it may be a USB expansion card...it's too big in size to be a USB expansion card - those tend to be small because they don't require much PCB to fit all the required components on. The card in JoeWo's PC is around the size of an older ethernet card / network card, potentially a sound-card or some type of internal capture card, however I would have thought JoeWo would have included a sound-card in his PC specs if he had one, and I doubt that he'd be using an ethernet card when the motherboard he has there has both WiFi and ethernet capability. If it were an adapter for USB to add an additional front/rear panel for USB connections then there'd also be internal cabling going from the back of that card to wherever he's placed the expansion panel. It looks more and more like the only options are sound-card or some type of capture card which no one else uses...that or DMA card 🤷♂

To add something, The internal capture card has to be plugged into a Pcie slot. A duel PC setup needs to use a capture card to send the video signal to the 2nd PC. Yes a DMA card also gets plugged into a PCiE slot too but that is clearly a Elgato Capture Card.

I reckon its a DMA card, but there is an outside chance its a sound-card of some sort or a network card for ethernet...albeit I think the ethernet card is less likely as most people use the ethernet port on their motherboard or they might (if they're not tech-savvy) be using WiFi. Other than that, perhaps a capture card is the only other explanation but I don't think that's what we're looking at either, having looked up what the Elgato and Avermedia cards look like, and the card in JoeWo's PC is definitely not an Elgato or Avermedia capture card... Others have said its a USB expansion card but I'd suggest those would be a lot smaller in size / form-factor because they are usually small PCBs which are only like 3-4 inches in length...the card in his PC is definitely bigger than most USB expansion cards, so again it begs the question what is that card he's got installed there!
The top markings are identical. That white outline of either a chipset or a logo is in the same spot as the guy who admitted to DMA cheats. Streamers have been cheating with dma for a long time. The card goes into your gaming PC that runs the game and the cheats emulate from your second PC which makes it harder to detect.
If I REALLY want to stretch I would say a LAN, USB, sound, or NVMe Card . That is a big stretch however because no one that I know uses those types of PCie cards anymore. I think Badboy is right and it is a DMA card.

I have to say I myself have something g of the sort but it's a usb hub. There are audio hubs usb hubs wifi hubs m.2 hubs. There is a crap ton of PCIE hubs that can look like that exactly. I'm not sticking up for the guy but I know about things like this myself.
I don't like JoeWo and am not saying he doesn't cheat, but people seem to forget the intended uses for DMA cards outside of cheating. Some of them are also applicable to content creation and gaming. DMA cards can be used for sound devices, networking and storage controllers. The presence of a DMA card in a pc doesn't immediately indicate that someone is cheating. Remember that anticheats can't ban for simply detecting a DMA device in your pc. They ban for sigged card firmware that is specifically linked to DMA cheating devices.
without more details it could be anything, anything from a pcie USB hub, a wifi card, a m.2 drive expansion slot, a sound card (like something by creative), it could be a network expansion slot, it could be a capture card.. the examples go on. there are 100s of different items that can be used in a pcie express slot.
That's no standard PCI Express device I recognise (soundcard's, network adapters etc) and I've installed ten of thousands of different components over the 15+ years I've been building custom PCs. I've never seen or installed a DMA card before but after a quick Google search I can confirm that it's most likely one of those! 🧐

I reckon its a DMA card, but there is an outside chance its a sound-card of some sort or a network card for ethernet...albeit I think the ethernet card is less likely as most people use the ethernet port on their motherboard or they might (if they're not tech-savvy) be using WiFi. Other than that, perhaps a capture card is the only other explanation but I don't think that's what we're looking at either, having looked up what the Elgato and Avermedia cards look like, and the card in JoeWo's PC is definitely not an Elgato or Avermedia capture card...

Why would anyone buy a WiFi card or any network card for a top of the line MoBo? Even my 2020 Z490 Unify has amazing Bluetooth, WiFi, and 2.5GB Ethernet support.
@@BLoobs1 precisely - there is no reason for him to have one in that rig because the mobo has it covered already, so we can pretty much rule it out, which only leaves a couple of "legit" options that it could be, its also entirely possible it's a DMA card and that he's exposed himself, but I guess we'll see if JoeWo even addresses the accusation from BBB. Others have said its a USB expansion card but I'd suggest those would be a lot smaller in size / form-factor because they are usually small PCBs which are only like 3-4 inches in length...the card in his PC is definitely bigger than most USB expansion cards, so again it begs the question what is that card he's got installed there!

The top markings are identical. That white outline of either a chipset or a logo is in the same spot as the guy who admitted to DMA cheats. It's the same markings, it might be rotated a little bit, but the proximity of both is all most dead on. People not believing he cheats now are either too proud to admit they are wrong, help jo with streaming numbers, gets paid by jo, or has some sort of stake into what he does outside of LAN tournaments.

Streamers have been cheating with dma for a long time. The card goes into your gaming PC that runs the game and the cheats emulate from your second PC which makes it harder to detect.
Why is it installed on the slot above the GPU and not on the slot below?
If I REALLY want to stretch I would say a LAN, USB, sound, or NVMe Card . That is a big stretch however because no one that I know uses those types of PCie cards anymore. I think Badboy is right and it is a DMA card.

I have to say I myself have something g of the sort but it's a usb hub. There are audio hubs usb hubs wifi hubs m.2 hubs. There is a crap ton of PCIE hubs that can look like that exactly. I'm not sticking up for the guy but I know about things like this myself.

I don't like JoeWo and am not saying he doesn't cheat, but people seem to forget the intended uses for DMA cards outside of cheating. Some of them are also applicable to content creation and gaming. DMA cards can be used for sound devices, networking and storage controllers. The presence of a DMA card in a pc doesn't immediately indicate that someone is cheating. Remember that anticheats can't ban for simply detecting a DMA device in your pc. They ban for sigged card firmware that is specifically linked to DMA cheating devices.

without more details it could be anything, anything from a pcie USB hub, a wifi card, a m.2 drive expansion slot, a sound card (like something by creative), it could be a network expansion slot, it could be a capture card.. the examples go on. there are 100s of different items that can be used in a pcie express slot.

That's no standard PCI Express device I recognise (soundcard's, network adapters etc) and I've installed ten of thousands of different components over the 15+ years I've been building custom PCs. I've never seen or installed a DMA card before but after a quick Google search I can confirm that it's most likely one of those! 🧐

Not a capture card. Capture cards are thicker then that. Also if it is a custom capture card. Whoever made it would need to contact every major PC company because he would be a hell of an engineer to be able to make that so skinny and use everything it needs and he would be paid very well. I highly doubt that's what it is.

It could very well be over for him tbh with this video, the only thing it looks like to me is a wireless adapter, he would have to take a video or something close up or even send the link to what wireless card he bought to tell for sure.

The point you do make about "why buy all this top tier stuff and not buy the top tier capture card" is slightly null and void as he literally has the cheaper cooler for his CPU.. deep cool is Meh.. if he really had nothing but the best, why not keep your CPU under an ice box? So in that sense, maybe it's a cheat (one I'm unaware of) but according to Occam's Razor it's likely a capture card until proven otherwise

I’m using dma cheats and have shared permanent uav to my entire team. I said that is bs I’m reporting you. He said crack on it’s undetectable. I reported the whole team anyway. 1st time I’ve ever experienced anything like that. If dma isn’t stopped all gaming is dead
