Keep doing breakdowns. Not only is it informative unto itself, but it serves as a point of comparison between what the factory does and what handloads do
@@theshotgunscientists fantastic! If you don’t mind, just regular Remington Slugger and Winchester Super X , Regular Federal and maybe 2 3/4” mag versions
I'd like to see a video by gauge of your reloading tools. What you like and don't like, highly recommend, etc. Also, your top 5 powders and primer selection. I'm new to shotshell reloading other than the 10 gauge. I have a PW loader for 10, and I just recently acquired 3 Grabbers in 12, 20, and 410 that were used. I also just purchased a Lee Load All in 16 gauge. I really like the Lee for its simpicity. Thank you for your time.
Love these! Would also love to hear about what kind of replication formula you might have, say with Longshot and standard Ballistic Products wads and such. Great job brother.
For example, say you wanted to replicate this slug in a standard 3" hull, using Longshot and 437 standard foster slug, what would you use in grains to get 1600fps?
The price tag shown in the video suggests that these are $1.66 each. Surprisingly not much more than the $1.60 each that Midway charges for Federal Power Shok 2 3/4" 1oz slugs.
2.3/4 in 1.1/4 oz shot #6. Remington Express long range next please. I'm asking because its my favorite load and I can't duplicate its performance for some strange reason.. hopefully it's not because I'm using cheddite hulls
hello id like to see load info for lee drive key slugs using the ballistic products blue slug wad and cheddite or fiocci hulls i have both and using long shot or steel or hs6 powders i have the bp slug loading manual it doesnt help much also can u tell me info on your best bp vlauslug load info for the saboted power shock slug from ballistic products its got info in the slug loading and advantages manual but so many variables i have 100 of the value slugs and i can make unlimited of the drive key slugs ad i own the mold im not slow i read the info it just has so many variables and i appreciate you and your content thank you if you can email me info or make a video as its a ton of work for you
We’ve done videos with the slug wad and the drive key slugs. They work fine for smoothbore but fail in rifled barrels. We haven’t ever used any of the other slug you mentioned though.

Will do
Love the factory shell break downs. Great information as always.
I like doing them it’s interesting to me lol
Keep'em coming, would love to see a breakdown of Winchesters PDX1 12 Defender shell
That’s a very good suggestion
Definitely like to see more of these types of videos
Sounds good to me
Yeah, breakdown videos are great. Thanks
Glad you like them
Yep I second that, they’re very informative.
Do what you love on the video. A make more like this too please.
DEFINITELY love the breakdown/ building videos. Thats the science part Bro!!!❤
I like it too
Love the break downs, would love to see some of turkey loads, I think that could be cool.
I’ve got one done actually
Breakdown is great! You can learn a ton from seeing what others do, good and bad. Thanks Tyler!
Glad you enjoyed it man
Yes keep doing them please. Very informative and helps to understand how what we put together compares to factory stuff. Thank!
More to come!

Did that last week and already have the range video filmed comparing them all for accuracy.
@@theshotgunscientists awesome!

Thanks for the idea!
Like the dissections very much. Good addition to the channel!
Glad you like them man I think they’re pretty fun to do
Would love to see them grouped. Y’all don’t leave to far away from where I’m from. Also I do like these breakdowns pretty interesting.
We will definitely do that
I'm liking these breakdown vids. Dissecting older or vintage shells would be neat too
I’ve done 1 before in 16 gauge might start doing that again
Love these videos. Keep them coming!
Will do
Love the breakdowns.
They’re definitely fun
Love the video. Please keep it up, I learn from you
Thanks
How about loading some up with an equal charge of actual Alliant Steel and compare velocity?
We might do that
Another great video, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Breakdown vids are excellent.
Wana do a breakdown/rebuild of 1 ounce Remington sluggers?
That was what I did for the first one in the series along with federal and Winchester 1 ounce slugs

I’d start at 35 grain and work up to maybe 40. Flex seal wad, nitro cards and the slug.
If you havent done it yet, maybe open up a winchester long beard xr load. Thats my go to turkey load. 12 gauge 3.5" #5
That’ll be next on the list to get.
I appreciate it
Thanks

Use the mg42 wad with some 20 gauge felt filler wads and you’ll match or even surpass it. I cannot find those locally anywhere for some reason.
@@theshotgunscientists awesome thanks I will try it. .. it's really hard to find this load for me also here in Washington State
