Longshot is right next to Alliant 410 so you are right on there Tyler. I would take that any day over say a factory slug which ways 89 grains and very soft. For a 30 yard pop on a whitetail that would do the job. Reloading is so much fun. For me a passion , since I started dreaming of owning a Lee hand loader when I was about 12 thinking I could load my own shotshells. Now of course we have expanded and still have the same love for the hobby. You guys make it interesting . Saw the Mosberg video as well on these. My O/U Mossberg has a .377 fixed choked on the upper .383 inches on the bottom. Thankyou
I made some of these 000 with 18 grains of P. (FFF) Pyrodex when I first started! Out of a 26" F choke-break barrel they are semi clean (easy enough to run a swab or two through) and hold fairly tight at 15 yards... Fun!
For the .44 XL shot cartridge, a better donor case is the .444 Marlin cut down to fit the chamber instead of a .45 Colt case. Figure out which wads work with your cases, the overshot wad may have to be glued in place. Be careful, these guns are tiny compared to any .410 made today.
Good looking shells. Better than mine made with a nail a socket and dowel rod!!! And why do i get the feeling Gary spends a lot of time in the plumbing isle at Home Depot. If it works it works right
Thanks for the use case discussion. I was thinking they look cool but are they useful for anything other than just the ability to reuse spent hulls? It’s a shame that the platform censors information like this. Good on you for finding your way around their efforts.
Precision reloading gets once fired in stock like once a month both 2.5” and 3”. Winchester Remington and federal. I have hundreds of hulls I’ve just saved since I was like 8.
really enjoyed this video, wish y'all could print all your 410 stuff in a book !
Thanks man
I’ve only tried a handful of .410 short shells. I like this, need to make more :)
They’re fun

Yeah I’ve got a 32 gauge on the small frame it’s really small but still an adults length of pull
Good looking shells might have to put some of these together, enjoyed the video👍👍
Thanks man

The 410 caliber is a caliber for creative people!!! ПРИВЕТ из РОССИИ!!!)))
Sure is
Nice. Is the nitro card under the MG410 for stack height or necessary for powder seal?
Stack height
Like to see patterns from these loads.
We just filmed it an hour ago
Some ammo company is making 'cut down' .410 loads for .45LC revolvers. Unfortunately, they WILL NOT chamber in my Ruger Vaquero in .45LC.
@@jimhovater8755 If they’re in fiocchi hulls, the brass needs resized sometimes for them to even chamber in some .410’s.
you should handload 3-1/2" 12 gauge slugs
We have before
@@theshotgunscientists oh cool ill look for that video
