@@deuxvies6696 I'd say, both. Miles Morales is similar in gameplay, some improvements, it's more fun but a lot shorter. It's more of an expansion than a sequel and the story is a bit weaker than the first game. The first game is great all around. Great story, fun gameplay. Some of the side content is just busy work but still mostly good. My opinion, both offer just a slightly different experience, much like how Miles and Peter are similar yet, different. Get both. If you have to choose only one, get the first and then Miles Morales down the line. If you have a PS5 or plan on getting one, get the Ultimate launch edition of Miles Morales. if you still can. You will get both games. Plus, you will also be able to get Spider-man 2 when that comes in 2023.
I cannot wait for Spider Man 2…. it’s going to be unbelievable. 😩

Ray tracing is actually turned off. I have this on ps5. It must be on the higher fps mode. For example, at 0:17, the widows are relflecting a static image of a street at ground level. With ray tracing on, you’d see a bunch of actual reflections of buildings. It’s especially obvious in the fight that follows in the alley. There aren’t any actual reflections in the windows.

If by “correct way” you mean the nostalgia blind way of people who are emotional compromised to those movies thinking they have to be placed above all other Spider-Man products than yeah, of course that would be the “correct way” of people with that ridiculous mindset. The suit DOES look amazing ingame and I love those movies as well but comments like this only really just make things look not the best as they could for people who are fans of those Raimi Spider-Man films and suit.
There is no “correct way” just play however you want with whatever suit you want and that’s that.

One of the best games I’ve played in a long time. Top to bottom fantastic. Just about done with the DLC, then on to Miles Morales.
I love how if you took away the hud and smoothed some of the camera movements you could show this to someone in the early 2000s and convince them it was the new spider man movie

Miles morales is two times better, a real improvement, as combat is more impactful with more special moves
this game is perfect, but the only problem this remaster got is the de-aged looking face for Peter, oh my god, that was awful
It's definitely not perfect. It's one of those games that is really good but has some obvious problems that people just ignore. Like the combat which holds your hand way too much in my opinion. I never liked how every time you did a finisher or dodged it slowed down time or how there is a lack of fighting animations

I really really really love this game, but I hope they "fix" (it's not broken, it just gets weird) the swing physics on when you get close to the spot the web's stuck and add the web swinging with both hands. Just can't wait for the sequence.
Most of the swinging is much more fluid in miles morales

One problem I have with playing games is I never stop to look at the view but this game looks so good I literally could not stop taking screenshots and videos. And I don’t typically platinum games either but this one I did in just under 2 weeks. Love it.

I couldn’t play this game originally because I was on Xbox. I got a ps5 and got this game and miles morales as a bundle. Both games are beautiful and satisfying to play. One thing I can’t agree with people is they say that the original game had better combat. I feel like miles’ venom powers enhanced the combat more than the gadgets Peter uses
Right? The combat and the web slinging are both better in Miles Morales. But this spider man game is still amazing as well

They should have added Miles into the main game as a post game dlc (just allow you to swing around the map and play miles combat in the base game). Would have been cool to see Miles in the regular non-snowy city.
really smart making a video like this at the start of the game when you have no advanced traversal abilities. who wants to see all that high speed fast travel? that’s certainly not the best part. everyone just wants to see all of the super slow, vanilla, no extra tricks web swinging around town. brilliant.

i literally finished miles morales an hour ago and i have to say the combat is still better in the first game. my favorite move, webbing people up, punching them in the air and then slam them on the ground is flawless in the first game, but with miles the game sometimes just doesn't do anything even tho i pressed the buttons. the gadgets in the first one were much better too, being able to combine them let's you orchestrate the next 5 minutes of combat with planning at least 20 moves ahead. you can also double tap L1 to quickly switch gadgets which miles can't (unless i missed something). you could chain 5-6 finishers in one big cinematic sequence, and you also had a lot of special suit powers to play with. also, that one hit web gadget that neutralizes enemies instantly is the best thing to ever happen in spider man games. makes you feel like the real spidey from comics and cartoons, so satisfying. miles has venom power which is fun, sure but compared to everything peter has it's pretty underwhelming. and i barely used the camouflage even tho i played it on spectacular dificulty. the swinging and the wall/ceiling takedowns however...oof. it's a thing of beauty. i hope peter will be able to do all that and much more in the next game

I bought a PS5 last week off the strength of Spider Man's awesome reviews! I couldn't be happier! Insomniac had to have a ton of confidence in the player base's ability to grasp these complex controls, because it's mind blowing just how fluid, intuitive, and easy it is to do everything. Like, this controls like a masterpiece. If Spiderman and Grand Theft Auto 6 had a baby, it would be sickkkk!

Such a fun game
The gap between PS4 and PS5 is probably the smallest out of all generations , but if feels super clutch to get that cherry on top (which in this case is higher resolution , better refresh rate , better lighting , ray tracing and slightly better graphics ) .
Just makes an already good looking game even better . This combined with a big TV the haptic feedback and home theater sound or good headset is the perfect experience .
Cant wait until they release it on PC.

Graphics look good. But to be fair, its like every other spider-man game. Swing around the city, beat up 3-7 punks at a time with no problem (even being shot multiple times). The best part of this game is just freely swinging around the city IMO
Yeah you completely missed the part where you got amazing side missions like the tombstone one, the story, the attention to detail. People who don't own the game are unlucky cause these youtuber's really have no clue as to how to show the game in a beautiful way like the E3 trailers.

This game IS exactly what a Spider-Man game should be (beat ‘em up, awesome bosses, “science”/puzzle solving, lots of laughs, and some emotional moments). It is unapologetically the best Spider-Man game to date

Regardless of the side missions and the “emotional” story you mention, there is no challenge to Spiderman games. Do me a favor, go play Spiderman on ps2 and tell me its any different, aside from graphics and an open world, the idea of the game has not changed nor has it gotten anymore challenging. Theyre predictable. I never once said it was a bad game. But if youve played 1 Spiderman game, youve played them all. IMO.
