The Nova Galactic one is cool but doesn't have a bathroom, so I just can't use it. 🤣 I like how packed the Taiyo/Hopetech ones are. Just makes it hard to use because you lose something wherever a door is.
@@KennethSmysonOne thing about the NG Captain's Quarters that HopeTech and Taiyo don't have is that the bed is in a little alcove, instead of out in the open, which I quite like. In a ship I built before my NG+, the hab directly in front of my Nova Captain's Quarters had a nav console, so I didn't mind so much that my room didn't have one.
@@KennethSmyson what we really really need is blank spaces that you pick as Y x Z, and then a decorate option to add the personal touches inside. That way, you could do a huge open area if you wanted to (more than the 3x)
Surprised that 150kg storage boxes were not mentioned as a factor in your rankings. They are handy for sorting gear and other items that you use regularly or just don't want them in your cargo hold. I like to have at least 2 in a ship.
Considering the bugs that have plagued storage boxes, mannequins, weapons racks, etc. I have not even looked twice at those. Are they the larger chests? Or smaller boxes?
You had me doubting myself! I double checked. This is the Hopetech. The Taiyo is noticeably brighter in color with yellow chairs. Hopetech beats Taiyo because I prefer a dimmer setting for a sleeping area.
i think your bias to be based of Nova Galactic design am i right? alot of nova galactic stuff here and i cant fault you i love the NG stuff just wish it was a defunct company.
Personally I am biased towards Stroud-Eklund based on the look of the Habs. But Nova Galactic seems to offer more functionality. The Stroud-Eklund Captain's Quarters is my favorite because I love the Navigation Console. But if I'm in a ship with a Battle Station Hab I always attach the Nova Galactic Hab as a substitute Captain's Quarters.
@@YoLo-bb2vc Agreed. Although I definitely plan to make a Cyber Runner character this year. She'll be a Neon Street Rat, and making Taiyo ships. I don't care for those Habs much at all, but want to at least stretch my wings and see what I can do.
@@KennethSmyson taiyo only run hmm now thats a challenge as taiyo designs are limited by what is on offer good luck bud i may watch that to see what inspiration it offers me as everytime i build taiyo ships they tend to come off as fighter craft not really ships designed for long terms in space more short range and always seemingly punching above there class weight.

There is a problem with the strout all in one , when you have a door placed where the dinner table is , it's still there and blocking the door.
