  • Shep Hermann from Hermann Oak Leather - this is an introduction to Hermann Oak Leather with a brief history to the company.
We welcomed a gracious, kind and tall guest from Hermann Oak, Shep Hermann. We have worked closely with Hermann Oak for quite some time now but Kevin and Rusty decided all of our SLC employees should get to know him better. So the team all came together in our shop to learn more about the history of Hermann Oak, about the tanning process and about the outcome of the leather and it’s multiple uses. Shep hung out with us for several hours and for a couple of those hours stood up in front of our whole team to just have open conversation and answer all of our questions about Hermann Oak’s business, process, and leather. We are all very thankful that Shep took the time to travel down from St. Louis, Missouri to spend time with us and educate us more thoroughly on Hermann Oak leather so that we, as a team, could better educate our customers about the amazing veg-tan leather that is Hermann Oak. If you want to catch some of.. our conversation with Shep check out the TH-cam video link below, thanks again Shep! If you haven’t got the chance to work with Hermann Oak yourself take the chance and use the promo code“TRYHERMANNOAK” when you spend at least $10 on your next order and receive a FREE Hermann Oak Bifold Piece! ... Only one per customer.

As an artisan committed to exclusively using Hermann Oak Leather, it’s valuable to hear Shep’s perspective. Thanks for sharing SLC.

I wonder how God tanned the leather He put on Adam and Eve after they sinned?
