Having the wrong ip rating for the machine can cause a contact weld as well.
For example
Working in dusty and wet conditions and your contactors only have an IP of 20.
After 5 years they will start welding themselves shut.

No. AC coil can work in both direction

Check the coil supply. Something is there which energizes the coil. Rectify it. Otherwise there is no other way to turn it on

Great explanation. I was looking for the follow up for this Video as you promised can't find it. May be it is somewhere, I do not know.
