But .. even thought im aware your slowing down just to get good clean video and stuff.. I see you are so smooth and fluid in your movement .. I bet you still find the time for practice and growth in your kata with your busy day.. Cause it shows .. There not the actions of some one who did it until they received the attention of the community.. There from striving to evlove.. Grow.. Learn more. Conditioning to you is still a factor.. YOU ARE STILL A RISING STAR ON THE PATH... Just courious thats all

    One thing I feel could help some people, I find it more simple if I hold the hilt up near the blade so the weight of the hilt continues the spin plus it allows me to keep the spin more narrow and directed.

    • @VortexKiller2
      @VortexKiller2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tend to like that more than holding by the base, near the top = better spin control.
      Near the bottom = more overall control but less spin capabilities.

    • @gingechicken7394
      @gingechicken7394 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Lou Charles which in the SW universe spinning is a major defense tactic and can be employed offensively as well so I feel like holding at the top is the best overall grip (let me be nerdy)

      Because in acting talent > ability to do stunts. Hire a great actor, then hire stunt performers to do the stunts or give your actors more time. Everything she shows here can be learned by a complete novice in a couple of weeks, days if you have any athletic ability, dance experience, and/or solid coordination. These spins might look hard, but they’re actually just foundational moves that are very low on the difficulty curve.
      Another consideration is that these move sets don’t translate into good fight choreography. That’s something entirely different and far harder. Someone as experienced as Michelle would confirm this if you asked her. There’s a big difference between an idea that sounds good from the outside and an idea that is actually good.

    Sweet tutorial! I'm too old to do all the jumping around stuff unless I get the Count Dooku CGI treatment . I purchased a Crimson Dawn and mine has a more realistic hilt which isn't great for spinning due to the sharp edges and details on it . Do you suggest that I should get another lightsaber that has an even hilt or just master my own ? BTW I just subbed your channel !!

    • @michelle-c-smith
      @michelle-c-smith  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I would definitely suggest finding one that doesn't have a bunch of edges on it. It'll be so much easier for you!

    I can't believe I done all of this at my 11 years Old. What a Memory you just gave me.
    I should get sharp again and Record myself. But it won't be the same like seeing me doing it when I was 8-12 years old.
    Just Imagine a child of 10 years old doing exatly those moves jumping, throwing the stick in the air, spin, catching the stick, keep moving like fighting. Also, throwing spear/javaline, throwing nife and dual blade/stick.
    That was me.
    Even I wanted so much to Record myself, I only did once and never made it to keep the video.

    That's pretty friggin AMAZING!
    I'm new to lightsabers. My Wife said it was cool to get one because ive always wanted one, as an adult, and to get good with it.
    First off I use to Box in my younger days, undefeated, I'm VERY GOOD at learning. I'm even better at Learning how to do something physical, especially w/my hands. I can literally pick up "anything", with a purpose, learn how to use said object/thing & be friggin Bad@$s at it. If not "BAD@S$" at it, then I'll be so good that you would be impressed. All this done w/a short amount of time practicing w/said object/thing. I learned Bow Staff, Sai, & my favorite Nunchucks. Now days I'm into Shooting, which of course, I'm great at it 😂😊. I'm VERY PASSIONATE about EVERYTHING that I do.
    Jus a Virgo for ya! 💪🏽😉🤘🏼😱
    But I Digress, you are AMAZING and I would LOVE to learn all your bad@s$ moves. You impress me from the first video.

    Out of the 90+ weapons I've had in hand, lightsaber is definitely my favorite. Your skill are on point and you are a natural teacher too turnflow works w most weapons, but my dual chain loops tend to wrap around my body, not always good. Those other guys with saber combat videos are obviously choreographing every fight, you would likely give em a run for their money all at once
