The Smallest and Fastest Water Cooled Mini RTX 4090 Gaming PC
#GamingPC #4kgaming #pcbuild
Congrats on the build. Happy to see you make smart decisions by picking power efficient parts for that small case.
Thanks! Temps are much better than my old build
Am I the only one disappointed after the realization there will be no "water cooled RTX 4090"? Still, great build
I dont know why you dont have more subscribers. Absolutely beautiful build and great insights.
wow RTX 4090 graphics card is a monster 👍💪
It really is
@@ThaVillaMan what other graphics card would you have used instead?
that's an awesome little build. i've always had a huge tower but lately i've been thinking about getting a little brick i can just pack up and take with me easily wherever i go
Wonderful build some custom cables would have really helped with the cable management for sure
True words!
Yo, this is insane! Exactly I was looking for: Mac Mini RTX
Hey man, thank you so much for this build! I'm building something super similar in my formd T1, and seeing how you laid everything out with the cooler was clutch.
Thanks man!!! Building pretty much exact thing cpu cooler was the key. Thanks man. Wish i followed your buils earlier.
Video quality is a lot better than lots of channels with over a million subs 🔥
Sweet new rig dude! I was the dummy who bought the 7900x3d before waiting to see the 7800x3d.
AMD definitely wanted people to do that. Kinda shady
Nice build and super video Villa!
Nice build but it really need some custom psu cable. Those budled cable will block most air tunnel.
Wow! Nice build.
Thanks! Was a fun one
How did I just discover your channel? Great production quality man, subbed immediately! Please do more SFF focused content, love it. Keep going at it you're gonna be HUGE one day. Incredible production quality.
A 4090...into that incredible
Awesome man. Im gonna do something similar, but with Pslate cables🙂
Great Vid, Awesome Build. I would perhaps use custom cables.
That’s a good idea. The only question is if I want to spend the additional $ on it
Any recommendations on where to get the custom cables or how to make them?
dude thx for HDR color grading so cool on my c2
🫡
Be sure to double check the vSOC timing on that Asus board... They've reported right at the 1.35v spec but it can go over that and damage the board and chip..New bios are supposed to address it but I'd still double check. Sweet build man.
Thanks for the tip!
2nd this, be very careful of voltages on AM5. Personally go 1.25 on cpu (-35 all core undervolt), 1.35 on ram w/ custom timings & 70% power limit 4090. Same 4090/7800x3d.
@@CarnivoryHODL Dont power limit, undervolt it
Why use ripjaws instead of an expo supported ram?
I wanna mine, too. But waiting till there'll be 64gb modules. So I'd have 128gb
Wauw!!! Nice!!! I need this!
It’s amazing
Where is the RTX 4090 watercooled build?
Well it's been a year now. Is that small computer still alive and working well? Has it held up to all the demands?
I’ve used it multiple times a week for hours on end. It works perfectly fine
oh wow the Formd T1 is really smaller than DAN A4 H2o. i thought it was 13L vs 11L from A4 h2o. Sadly formd t1 not available atm :( wish i coul have goten that one, now the dan a4 h2o is on its way.
Nice build!
33 fps at 4K with a 4090? Are the CPU or the GPU power limited? Still it's quite good for how small it is
It’s raytracing overdrive most likely which is unbelievably demanding.
This video is so good that I almost forgot that the title is a complete lie.
I copied your build for my 65" QD OLED. Hopefully it's a smooth process once my parts arrive. Thanks for the video
Also amd 7800x3 d?
@@Sabakoe737 yep
Nice! I’m sure it’ll be amazing. What games are you playing?
@@ThaVillaManCOD, Madden, NBA 2K,Action/ Adventure games, MK, Street Fighter, & Fortnite mostly
This install going to be a challenge lol
Will this work if I use it in my truck for long travel? For the kids to play or watch movies
great name! , love your channel mon!
great build are you going to get any custom cables that will really finish it off:?
Thanks. The only custom cable I have is the 12V GPU power cable. Don’t really need anything else really
This build is awesome dude. I was wondering. How are you only getting 35fps with a 4090 and a 7950xtx. Is that normal or does the small case stop you from getting a different component that would boost that?
That's just how cyberpunk runs w/ max raytracing and no dlss
@@skeleton1421 I see. What's the reason you weren't using dlss?
The two cpu cooling fans aren't the same, which triggered my OCD.......
It will until you close up the case. Then everything is how you want it to be 😆
@@ThaVillaMan it will still hurt my inner OCD 🥲
What screws did you use for the radiator?
Great work! I'm going to duplicate your build. Any long-term issues with the cooler? The reviews for it are so-so.
No issues with the cooler, no. It does its job. Can’t say anything about the RGB portion tho
I wish I could fit my 4080 msi in this case
Nice build and video! Some pointers.... You specify this is a gaming pc so why 64 gb of ram??? For gaming, it is beneficial for some situations to get 32GB over 16GB, but 64gb is definitely a no no. So, this would have been a faster build if you go with 32gb of Gskill Trident Z5 NEO (made for AMD) 6000 speed. This is a very expensive and small build so custom cables would have made a huge difference (mentioned by another commenter). You can still order them..... Other than that, this is an amazing build! Enjoy it!
Nicely done! How are the noise levels on the AIO during gaming loads?
Hey thanks for the video. Which version of the formd t1 are you using? Also is that noctua fan on the radiator 15mm or 25mm? It looks like 25mm which would be great. Is there room for a fan guard to separate it from the mobo? Does the noctua get loud with such tight fit? Thanks
I’m using the T1 Sandwich with the included PCI-E 4 cable. The Noctua is a 25mm fan.
There’s about a 47mm clearance for rad and fan, between the fan mount and top of the case on the mobo side.
I didn’t have to use any fan guards but I did make sure the cables cleared them.
I dont know how you fit a 30mm fan and a 25mm fan on the aio
Yo, are you just using one NVME on the bottom slot? I was hoping to get two in there.
Very good video, very informative. I just subbed ;). I have the FormD T1 reference version, which is the non-sandwich or traditional version of the case. That is also a very good case, especially for air cooling, and definitely worth considering. Currently I'm using quite old hardware: an i7-8700k with a GTX 1080 ti, but they both consume a lot of power compared to a lot of modern hardware. Both CPU and GPU are overclocked to the max (CPU is at 5 GHz on all cores). I'm using a Noctua C14S air cooler and I have no issues with thermals. The I7 pulls over 160 W and the 1080 ti pulls as much as 300 W when overclocked, which is over 450 W in total. So, I'm expecting to be able to upgrade to modern hardware without any issues. Something like a RTX 4070 with a 5800X3D or a 7800X3D is what I'm planning next, and I think that will work like a charm with the T1 reference. Power consumption will be a lot lower than my current system, so my current cooling should work fine. Readers, please take a look at the FormD T1 reference, especially if you prefer air cooling. I'm surprised the T1 reference doesn't get more coverage.
Villaman, wah u mean u throw it out, and mi deh ya want a GPU yute....mi stress out ....sweet build thou bro
Haha throw it out to someone else and they threw me some $ 😆
Nice
Congrats on this next level build! I was literally about to start my T1 build with the Blackridge air cooler until I saw your vid.
How are the sound levels for your AIO version? Would you say it was quieter than the air cooled config?
Just tried the black ridge.... Oops going to pick up the air lol
A year later have you found yourself needing to undervolt or lower your wattage? Was going to build the same system but with air, but i was too worries about temps. Cant believe how good the AIO temps are. What is the noise like under load? Amazing build 11/10
No issues even a year later. Haven’t had the need to under-volt and it gets relatively loud then the fans spin up, but I can’t really hear it when it’s under load. It’s great
@@ThaVillaMan Guess I'm going for an AIO then. Thanks for the quick response, glad to hear you don't undervolt or have to throttle performance
@@ThaVillaManDo you think a 5mm thicker rad would fit? seems like you're at the very limit.
Does the Vida 240 Slim fit perfectly with 2x25mm fans or does it touch the top pannel ? i’ve just seen a review that stated it as incompatible
Nice build! Planning something very similar but with air cooled CPU.
Question - how is the clearance for the GPU power cable? I’m planning to use the cablemod one, though all these aftermarket cables all say to bend 20mm from connector..
Thanks! I bent mine at the connector and haven’t had a problem at all. I guess it will depend on the quality of the cables. That said, I had to get creative with the routing especially since it was close to the radiator hose. It’s def do-able tho
Wow, unreal build!
Weird question, but would really like to know, what does the PC weigh?
Thanks and good question! It’s about 17 pounds apparently
@@ThaVillaMan Thank you!! Puts the rig into perspective in regards to portability. Great work.
It's a little blurred.
how many kg is your build?
Would that cooler be enough for a 7950x?
The TDP of the 7950 is a bit high. Ever thought of using the 7950x3d? It has the same TDP as the 7800x3d
@@ThaVillaMan No, 3d versions are useless for fluid simulations. It has to be 7950x non 3D. I guess Im gonna wait for 9950x or something like that. xD. Do you know if is viable to build a mini Pc with a 7950x ? for refference for next gen. Or it's got to be just full ATX
Hey! I was wondering if there was any issues when you used the A12x25 on the motherboard side? I’m going to be using the Nzxt z53 AIO since I have it lying around and was wondering if I can fit that also, or would I need an A12x15 instead….thanks!
You’ll need about 47mm of clearance on the mobo side, so ensure the rad+fan is slim enough
Villaman I have a ASUS ROG Strix Z690-I, you think I can make it work with the same setup?
Hey! The assembly for the NVMe would be my only concern since it’s so large. You would have a difficult time with the cooler hose
Did you undervolt the 7800x3d?
Nope. No voltage regulation at all. Stock curves too
@@ThaVillaMan
dang Impressive, probably gonna build this too was going to air cool but I don’t like limiting my components 😂, was just skeptical of adding a radiator causes I wouldn’t know what would happen to gpu temps
Now why the heck can't we do that with sound processors?!
Haha good question!
Villa man I have a question, for the life of me, I removed the M.2. Heatsink but I can’t remove the bottom pad. It looks like it’s ok standoffs and I saw that you removed yours easily. Is there a screw I am missing or a trick? I want to install a 3rd part heatsink like you.
I figured it out. You have to remove part of the VRM heatsink to get to the bottom screw. Thanks
Lovely Build, Im curently working on a very similar build, would you be able to tell me if the top panel closes without an issue? Because i was planing on using the same AIO but with two Noctua NF-A12x25 and cant figure out if that would fit? tia :))
Thanks! Closing the top panel was a bit of a fight and there’s a point where the metal bows outward just a little, but it’s not perceptible to anyone but me (because I know… I know all of it!). Custom and flexible cables go a long long way
Using 2 Noctuas should solve it, but it might result in higher temps.
@@ThaVillaMan thanks a lot for the reply, i’ve now ordered the AIO and i’m gonna fit it in a couple of days and report my results here in case anyone else would have the same question
Hi again @@ThaVillaMan , I've ran into another issue while trying to mount the fans onto the radiator. Could you tell me which screws did You use to mount your Noctua fan to the radiator. I've looked everywhere and can't find what size screws does SilverStone use to mount their fans. I'm pretty sure they have to be 30mm long but can tell if they are 3 or 4mm wide?
what is it you remove from the aio block? RGB connectors?
Yup
@@ThaVillaMan thx mate
My english is bad. Did you use 2 different fans?
Why different?
Yes because there was different clearance. Not as much clearance over the motherboard
@@ThaVillaMan Thanks, if I may, a couple more questions. Why are the fans on the bottom of the radiator? Why not two noctua, is phanteks better?
Now the most powerful gaming pc build takes up 25% of your carry on baggage
And weighs only 17 pounds!
@Tha_VillaMan I'd love to see the smallest premium performance micro-ITX. I travel and want to safely pack within my personal item a 4090 or 7900xtx water cooled build
Hi thanks you for this video! Do you know if its possible to fit 2 t30 phanteks fans with the slim raditor?
No it’s not possible. The section over the motherboard doesn’t have enough clearance
@@ThaVillaMani thik if you put the fans on the top off the radiator then it will fit
@@ThaVillaMan thank you!
Hi sir,
Did you edit this video on the pc?
How is editing with this cpu?
No I didn’t. It was edited on a Mac funny enough. I’d get a higher court count version for editing 12 or 16
@@ThaVillaMan is editing on this cpu oke or not?
i think u missed the point where you water cool the rtx 4090
I think you did
💪💪💪
What temp tracker(program) is he using???
MSI Afterburner.
yo Yuh out dun yuhself
Bless!
You gonna give optimum tech a shoutout for this build? He released this exact build on TH-cam over 4 months ago.
No he did not. He built an air-cooled 5800x3d with 4090. He has just released a vid with a partial dual rad build using 7800x3d with lobo and 4090.
Check yourself hero.
Built a 7800x3D build 4 months ago? Do you see where you are wrong?
Why do we need to give credit, it was gonna happen just with different components lol
There’s no need because OT wasnt the first one either
Do you not have a bulge on the top with the fans? I have the same exact 2 fans....and im seeing a quite noticeable bulge on the top lid
