I am seeing the same with the clock display. It stays on in green even after the engine is switched off, and the display is blank. It keeps draining the battery. Any tips ?
Nice video, got me wondering. I used to do some work in EMF security of hardware. Sounds to me like something resonating. Did you measure the resistance on the traces and components leading up to the repair? Maybe that could have pointed out what is actually broken. Everything under 5 ohm should be fine. We had this annoying problem if some grounding was not done correctly a 50hrz tone would travel through to a speaker cable and make also this annoying tone you describe in your video. Our test engineer called it an EMC issue. We mostly solved it by tracing it with a occiloscope and measuring the ground planes. Maybe it helps in the future 💪🏻
Yeah, thank you very much :) This strage sounds was already there, first it was not working at all, than i soldered the Power Connector new, than it was working with this strange sounds, after that, the other chip begones to fail, so the info display was working bad, so i resoldered the other chip to, after that all it was working like it should, but with strange sounds... I really think it´s like you say, but befor we search here the problem 1 or 2 weeks long we did it just like this xD I could give it to my onkle, but im sure he would tell me the same thing :) At last, it´s no problem to close the traces again, so i think it was worth, a new Display costs 150-200€ Best Regards ;)
Also was nun... Gut das ich dich gefunden hab. Aber: Muss ich bei der zweiten Lampe auch die Stromzufuhr trennen? Konnte es nicht sehen und glaube wurde auch nicht erwähnt. Noch mal Danke :)
@@NSC-Modz The initial problem is that the Light sometimes is on and sometimes off. I can't find any bad Soldering also. Probably the two connectors from the lower board to the LCD Board ?
@@NSC-Modz Hmm... I guess not because they go on/off at the same time. I leave the Display for hours on my Desk. Lights still on. Back in the Car driving a while they come off. A few km's later they come on back again. Then thought it was the connector from the car but if I try to "wackel" on it the light stay on. I guess it's a problem inside the PCP. I will try the shortcut with the wires.
Hello nice video, informative I have a problem with my on-board computer it sometimes shows the outside temperature sometimes not the consumption sometimes it sometimes not and sometimes it falls out what could be the problem? bad contacts re-soldering the chip? Thank you for your explanation
Great video, my computer was dead to , it works fo me to ... The computer is running again. Many thanks for your tutorial!
You always welcome
i have a different problem on the display, it stays on after I turn off the motor and remove the key to, any idea?
Could be the chip it self, i would soldered it new or a reflow with sind flux.
@@NSC-Modz thanks ,I will have to check
But ,sometimes is working the display, then goes off,

Ich denke ja, muss den Thomas fragen, hatte es für ein Freund gemacht. Aber ich bin mir ziemlich sicher das die zweite auch getrennt werden muss.
Good Video! Probably my Display does the same "Hiss" Noise. I can't find any bad Soldering. So I try to fix it like in the Video? BR
Yes, give it a try. The display is still working without problem on my friend, still silence 😉

Yes, or the lights or self? Maybe just resolder the contacts witch new flux.

Hello Yes, it's mostly the bad contacts, re-soldering will help.
@@NSC-Modz Thanks 👍🏻
