This is for anyone who is wondering about the acetate and heat....there are laminate sheets which aren't a truly clear finish. There's acetate, window sheets, and heat resistant acetate. There are some that are heat resistant, some that are not. It will tell you on the front of the package if it is meant for embossing or using heat of any kind. I always get mine from scrapbooking/card shops because they carry all kinds of acetate including the heat-embossing acetate. However, I have found it on Amazon and Ebay as well. I'm new to your channel and I have to say that you have some beautiful techniques. I have to go check to see if my acetate is heat resistant. I have a feeling that it's not but I'm gonna go try and hit it with my heat gun and see. Fingers crossed 🤞! If it is, I'm gonna have a blast trying this technique. Luv it!!!

Let your heat tool heat up for a minute before applying, then don't hover in an area for more than a couple seconds.

can I ask how you stick the acetate sheet to the inked background sheet?

I glued under the solid parts of the image with Tombow Mono Liquid adhesive and I used mini glue dots on the corner, they are barely visible

How lovely that looks!!! --- my question is , how do you prep your acetate so that no extra embossing powder stays on the acetate??? --- i have wasted several sheets because of this problem --- no matter , so far , what I do I always end up with embossing powder all over --- any suggestions would be so appreciated --- many thanks --- have a nice day --- Ann

+Hank Klunder the acetate I use is specifically for heat embossing so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Have you tried an embossing buddy to prep the surface?

yes, I have used the embossing buddy on it , also a swiffer,, also used a dryer sheet ---- but all to no avail ---- where do you purchase your acetate sheets from and does it have a specific name ??? --- thank you for getting back to me so quickly :) ---- have a nice day ----- Ann
