- Castlevania Lament of Innocence (Pumpkin) All Bosses (No Damage). It is an action-adventure video game developed by Konami for the PlayStation 2 console in 2003. Pumpkin is a secret character. It can be unlocked by completing Joachim Mode.

Back when DLCs were on-disc, and included with the purchase price of the game.
Fun fact: the Medusa just being a giant head here is actually a nod to the series continuity. She was portrayed as just a floating head in the earlier games and became more humanoid/snakewoman over time. This being the origin of the Belmont/Dracula grudge, her being just a floating head is a detail that surprised many more attentive fans. A serious tip of the hat to the devs who went to that level of research and care.

I am so happy to see that people still play this game. This was the one that got me into Castlevania in the first place.

I'm going to honest with you, Pumpkin would die in the hallway leading to death.
I remember playing this game and dying repeatedly because I couldn't find most of the health upgrades.
Sure, Pumpkin is stronger than both Leon and Joachim but he has less health than either of them.
Pumpkin only wins this fight because Shadow was controlling him, if it was me, he would have been roasted by the fire elemental and I beat The forgotten as Leon.

What's adorable is that the Pumpkin was a story that Leon enjoyed very much. Playing as Leon's childhood hero is funny and cute at the same time!

As a lifelong Castlevania fan that was badly burned by the N64, I was apprehensive about this game when it first released. I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I actually enjoyed it.
Oh gracious the dreaded N64 release of the games, that truly killed the name until Symphony of the Night, followed by Chronicles. When Lament of Innocence dropped, Castlevania was purely redeemed.

I owned it on my PS2, it wasn't really that good IMO. The one that came after it (Curse of Darkness I think it was called) was much better.

What are u talking about,? If anything, This game (Lament) is the one that encapsulated that Spooky feeling ANY Castlevania should have. Non of the GBA or DS did that, not even Curse of Darkness (PS2). Playing this game at night in the dark is such an unique experience. Of course it is not Survival terror like Resident Evil or Psychological terror as Silent Hill, but still gives a you an incredible "scary" feeling, and for me, that is the perfect ambient a Castlevania SHOULD HAVE.
I don't like any of these versions of the game not any of them anything from super Nintendo on unless it's a metroidvania from the game boy they're terrible
