When I loaned money for major house repairs to my close family member, I wrote up a loan agreement, charged a small amount of interest, used an amortization table, had it signed by that person and notarized.Gave that person a copy. A check was sent to me every month as agreed and after it was fully paid off I mailed a statement to that person saying it was fully paid off. That was years ago. I have kept those papers in a file in case I develop serious memory problems (I'm a senior citizen.) All of this was done in a very good spirit between us.

      There’s a right way and a wrong way. 😅
Someone loaned me money to fix my car and every time i had a certain amount saved up i put it in an envelope. 10 envelopes and I was done.

Yup, I do the exact same thing with my best friend who “rents” a room in my house. Technically he lives with our family, we call him uncle to our kid, but the rental agreement makes it clear how much he contributes to the house

Regarding the call from South Africa. I understand Dr John’s solution to remedy the relationship. Yet, what was forgotten is that even after asking for the loan, the family asked for more money from that couple .
And the mom going around and trashing them.
I would move away from my family at this point. This is a mega boundary problem.
The parents should be so proud that their son is doing so well. You are not bad people at all. I believe in healthy boundaries between family members.
I would grieve my relationship with my parents. I would not close the door but the likelihood that they will come around your level of integrity is low at this time.
    Money can be very detrimental.
I just want you to know that you are not bad people at all.

I’m a mother in law and I babysit my grandchildren a couple of days a week. While I’m there I do dishes, toddler’s laundry, clean toilets, cook and other things. My son in law and daughter is very grateful for the help. I just happen to love helping and cleaning. I’ve done similar things for my son and daughter-in-law, but they live a little further away. I think it is different for a daughter-in-law, although she lives very close to her mother and father and they do many things for them. It doesn’t seem to bother my son. We are all very close, so it depends on each family dynamic. There might be more going on than we know about. I’m even very good friend’s with my son-in-law’s mother, which is very unusual. I’m grateful and they seem to be grateful for each other. ❤️

It was a Six month alone. But she wanted to extend it out to another Six months.
At the end of the loan I got The thirty thousand dollars back a plus all interest for that year. $32,000 back.
A sign contract and notarized was done between us.
The only reason I let her borrow the money is because I trust her And is a very dependable person.

There’s groups in our area and they will process the meat themselves. It’s like a whole weekend thing with about 20-30 people. Some can’t hunt, some can’t help dress, but there’s always enough helping to get it all done.

Question of the day! Guys sometimes yall act a fool for entertainment reason I respect that, but yall do need to ask a few questions also. Does the wife really know the true stories? My brother “bought” a house prior to marriage using my parents money via a loan. They had arrangements on how the yard must be kept house up kept inside because of bugs and rodents possibilities. He always told everyone he bought the house he told girlfriends and wife even though parents bought it and he paying them back very very slow. He always asked my mother to help out at the house because him and wife worked to much he asked before marriage and durning. So I wouldn’t assume without more info if the wife really even knows what’s going on in the house she moved into with husband. Maybe wife is overbearing and he don’t want drama with her so he makes his momma the bad person. My brother worked 60-70 a week always tired his wife worked 30-40 always exhausted to do housework lol so brother asked mother for help. Couple years into marriage it hit the fan when his wife confronted my parents about them blocking all their ideas for the house even though it’s her house with her husband. Parents laughed thought she was playing a joke until she got more made at thanksgiving of course. Brother and few of the other guys went out for some supplies Kmart if you remember them. She tried calling out my parents infront of 40 friends and family and she got embarrassed because my parents nicely stated they liked the upgrade ideas for the house but they are living beyond their means something my brother told her many times before but she didn’t care to listen. She kept calling it our house and parents corrected her that they own the house son making payments to buy the house but since they got together they haven’t made a full payment in years because her bad spending habits and her husband asked for help keeping the house clean because he was working to much and when he was home wife needed constant attention cause she was lonely since he worked to much but she was tired to much to clean working 30-40 hours a week. Yes brother was to blame because he didn’t want to cause drama either way so he caused it both ways. Marriage counselor said wife comes first and since she is in a depression not to confront her about issues until she is better. Not saying the commenter was in similar situation but not always one sided.

She's not far off with those numbers! The last time I got a deer processed it was $169 and that's what kicked off me processing all my own animals! $1,000 is decent for a taxidermy!!

33:50 the hunting comment is wild. The $200 is nothing - I paid $212 to my butcher this year but calculated I received about $820 worth of meat when compared to the equivalent amount in beef. I do my deer mounts myself though and just did my deer for under $25. The guy should learn to do his himself too. More rewarding anyhow!
EDIT: unfortunately Jon is wrong on the price though. $212 is the cheapest butcher around here. All depends on where you live

Dave Ramsey always goes at the men majority of the time and is not hard on the woman generally!
It bothers me that he doesn’t keep the same energy towards the woman and waters shit down a lot more
He generally blames the man for the financial mistakes made by the caller

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks...

Quitting may not be the best approach if you ask me personally .When it comes to investment, diversification is key. That is why I have my interests set on key sectors based on performance and projected growth. They range from the EV sector, renewable energy, Tech and Health (AMD) alongside coins, and gold. I'm also working on an investment plan with my CFA that includes AI looking into Nvidia, MSFT, Alphabet stocks among others. I've been utilizing CATHERINE DIANE PELICAN advice for years and I've made over $1 000,000. I could leave you a lead if you need advice help...
