Amazing what a bit of sunshine and warmer days do for the garden. Last night and today are rainy here but the 30+ temps were a bit much too soon 🤦♀️. We are going away for a few days so I pulled my shallots now because of course it’s going to rain again. You have so many things growing and plans 😂 I don’t k ow how you do it all and work. Have a fab few weekend and see you soon, Ali 🌦️🌞🇨🇦
Hi Ali. Best to harvest your shallots while you still know they are fine. Yes it's amazing how much the garden jumps when the weather conditions are just right. When I get to the allotment, I just go from one task to another. I rarely stop and I pay for it later lol. Mind you, it's a labour of love and time is finite lol.. 30+ there, we can only dream about that. 14 degrees. Sheesh. We're supposed to have lousy weather this weekend. Still, I'm working so hey ho lol. ⛱️👍😁🌦
Hi Steve, well that's practical for you. I started mine this spring. No point in starting them too early as they would just get leggy and it was cold to boot. Good luck in your local show !! 👍 🏆🏆🌱
Hi Elaine I just spent an hr shelling broad beans 😂, ive frozen most of them and im giving them to my mum's husband who loves them 😊, his birthday is soon also 🤩. Your tomatoes look great, a decent size already. Are those raspberries autumn fruiting? If so just chop them back to the ground in the winter. Still watching 😁🙏👍👌
Hi Nick. An hour no less! What a great harvest. I'm not sure what varieties of raspberries we have. I think it's better to chop them down and start again. I've got to cut the membrane back so they can breathe better and give them a good feed.
Your cosmos are nearly flowering too, i can't wait for some colour in my back garden. Lots going on, well done for keeping up.👌🙏😁👍

Great stuff. My Bunyards are like yours - planted late so they are ready for the Village show in a few weeks.
