I just got into No Man’s Sky on the Xbox, you seem to be the only TH-cam that seems to be doing consistent update vids on the NEXT update, you pretty much have showed me how to play this game:), anyways keep up the good work!!!
Great channel, your content is super helpful! I'm entirely new to NMS but I do think I have one improvement to a tip from your last "tips & tricks" video, and one beginner friendly trick to massively increase your inventory space in no time.
Regarding the humming eggs (from the last tip video) I've found that it's MUCH easier to just stand on top of the station and use the terrain manipulator to create a shaft directly below the eggs. What I've been doing is to create "mine shafts" under all the eggs around the station then either connect shafts that are close to one another or jetpack out of a shaft, onto the building and jump directly down into another shaft (no need to wait for swarms to subside).
The second tip is one I haven't seen anyone mention anywhere, and that is to use your first "rookie" ship as an extra inventory once you get your second ship. I found my third ship last night, added it to collection and swapped it for a cheap hauler with 24 cargo slots. Whenever I run out of inventory space or need something special I just summon that ship, get what I need and swap back to my regular ship again. I've used it to store all those items you keep finding that are worthless in the beginning but you know you'll need further down the line, resources rarely needed but nice to have, extra fuel and such. It's a summonable inventory and it makes managing your inventory SO MUCH EASIER.
I’m loving it I just learned when you craft something in stead of going back and forth with the craft menu you can make one product then hold your circle over the product and hold the square button (PS4) and just repeat until you are out of supply’s to make the product.O M G this will save time

Another great tip: Pick up the containers destroyed enemy spacecraft drop. Your shield can be automatically recharged and you get some valuable metals. I have 1000+ chromatic metal bc of this. It also helps you stay alive in a space battle!

I refined Magmo Gold, and the output is "Big Ball". But it won't let me remove it. My Big Balls are stuck in the machine, lol.

In my experience, your best bet for when you die is to force manual saves often. These can be triggered by outpost beacons, mapping surveyors, and PC made beacons. If you are expecting a major fight ahead, then use one of these methods beforehand, and use the manual reload option on the pause menu.

Tip for fast and easy Inventory slots:
1. Have plenty of money.
2. Save in space station by simply going inside and back out of your spaceship to auto-save after you have parked inside the space station.
3. Log out to the Mode Select and join into a random game.
4. Fly back to the space station as you will spawn in your ship out in space.
5. Get out of your ship and go to the platform (always on your right after getting out of your ship) and go to the suit upgrade terminal and purchase your desired upgrade.
6. Repeat steps 2 through 5.
About those glowing orbs which teach you words in the Atlas station... I've found a planet almost covered with them... they don't teach you words, but you can collect them and sell them... not very valuable, but not too shabby neither... around 10 k a piece if I remember
Here's a nice and easy tip for you guys. If you are having a hard time trying to find a trading post. Install the economy scanner on your ship. I don't remember it being to complicated or expensive to build. Once you are flying above the ground or in space, go in the quick menu, utilities and select the economy scanner. It pointed me to the nearest Trading Post. I hope it help you guys out.

The only reason to not land on a landing pad is at a minor settlement -- if you want to have ships land and maybe trade up a ship or trade with an alien, landing on the one landing pad sort of cuts your chances. A good source of uranium means never having to say you're sorry...;)

Freighter fuel bug got me too but gladly sorted now. I'm having a ball on a solo normal at the moment and slowly working out base architecture and what will be more productive depending on what I wanna focus on to make more money..
Unfortunately new players can't build storage containers and finding rare stuff early is a constant. If you want to offload supplies but keep room...BUILD REFINERIES.
I have my starter base ringed with refiners. Sure you can only fit one item from your inventory in it but that's an extra inventory slot you have. Just drop it in the intake slot and leave it. You don't even need to fuel the refinery
1 sheet of metal and 20 oxygen is all it takes for one so any new player can do this. I just started the game today so I'm sure this may be know but figured I'd mention it cause I thought it was pretty neat.
Apperently you can also get the AtlasV1 pass from a random manufacturing building. That's how I got it.

first thing about blueprints missing. yes its a bugg and its for older saves "are not given the building mission" unless u cheat yourself it.
Great tips! Exocraft may not be necessary, but they're super fun, other than the Colossus. Everyone should at least try them. I think I like the Roamer the best, even though the Nomad is very agile and can hover on water.

I suggest a top down view like sim city or being able to freely move camera around 360 while not connected to the player.

Some of this info is incorrect, at least on Survival.
Having the 6 main plants is not enough to farm them now in Survival, you need specific source elements from the various planets the plants come from.
Having the plant is no longer part of the blueprint to seed a new plant.
Thank you this video has been informative. Perhaps you can do a video about the Navigation and how to tell what planets what. like tell a difference between a freezing planets versus a radioactive planets. This is only to really Help those that are not good with navigation
Blood dashwhat I rely on is looking at what plants the planet has after scanning it so star bulb - no general hazard but may have hot storms, gamma root - radioactive, fungal mound - toxic, frostwort - freezing, cactus flesh - hot (may have freezing nights and days without a hazard) and solanium - hot, anything without a plant is probably a desolate planet like lifeless, airless etc, ones showing error messages or anything abnormal like anomaly are strange planets with very unnatural plants and rocks that are always worth checking out as they’re quite unique
Strangest creature i've found is a giant crab with spider legs, also one of the "variations" has a praying mantis upper body...

Does anyone have experience with a glitch on the freighter where you put fuel in the hyperdrive but can't warp because it says you have no fuel? Or one where everytime you move the freighter whatever ship wasn't registered as your primary disappears?

I couldn't warp out of my first star system despite having a full hyper drive and 2 more in my inventory, I deleted a broken indium drive that was in my inventory and then it all of a sudden worked
MARS-_-_- ATTACKS I dont have anything but a hyperdrive on my ship, how do I get other drive types like emeril or indium?
TheMemester439 on ps4, they fixed that bug this morning, because i can use it now and with the hyperdrive i think the freighter hyper drives is a “all in one” hyper drive. The only hyperdrive upgrades u can get is the ones that let u travel further

I use my exocraft on extreme environment planets, the kind where a storm can kill you in 20 seconds. Other than that, jetpack boost all the way

Ben Some old glitches are back too, like the pre-order ship antimatter blueprint glitch. I tried making a new save and screwed myself thinking it was fixed. lol
Sadly old saves brought into NEXT don’t have access to the blueprint analyzer. Still waiting for a fix so I can really get started.
u can buy vykeen daggers from vykeen starships.. allso you should not accept the first freighter.. if u decline it. u get a capital ship next time.. the worth difference can be up to 3billion? allso if u play survival u dont get a grave u lose your items in normal inventory, but not ship or cargo.. try mentionin these thing in some video.. and allso u can pick like 100 different quest for kill sentinels (or other) and then do the mission 1 time and u get the reward for all the 100 missions.. allso you should make a video about duplication... i played the game 2 times without "cheating" but both times the quest lines bugged.. so i got fustrated and on my thrid gamei started using the duplication thing since i allready had spent over 140hours on the game and had to start from scratch.. duplicatin items with 3 converter boxes is the best thing u can do for gold.. if u dont want to spend 100 hours on trading

The scanner in my ship doesnt reveal anything when I'm flying. Is there an upgrade that I need or something?
Upgrade it with economy scanner.. It will show outpost trade nearby when u enter a planet atmosphere
Nick same here I’m flying along the surface and nothing then I saw a icon for a building that’s when I realized two things first the planet I was flying over had very little to offer then I flew to another planet that had buildings .and two try flying over a new spot scan fly slow turn in a circle and hold your ships cross hairs down in the land scape just under the horizon line it seem to only appear when find one with your cross hair and when you move away it disappears .and also at the top we’re it shows you north and south little blue icons appear they are resources copper and stuf like that .i learn a new tip you can craft something and then repeat it using the square button PS4. Another important tip hit option button look under log on the right side is a list of missions you have to hi light the mission to see the the icons for theses from land or space also use guild to figure out info on elements and products . It helps when using your refiner to make stuff
heard a few people say this.. mine works fine, i can spot resource deposits as well as unknown buildings as long as i scan in atmosphere, no mods installed working on base ship on new playthrough. This also works fine for me out of atmosphere, i can spot trade posts signal towers, minor settlements and i believe monoliths while scanning out of atmosphere, both ways of scanning though require me to just spam the button while in ship for like 30 seconds or so and ill eventually have 3-4 markers. This is on PC not sure if it will be the same on console. Also sometimes i find nothing, sometimes i find one thing, sometimes i find 2-3 things, always find resources though.

I started the game a week ago, collecting and scanning still in the starting system, where is the main quest?I have no "Atlas path"< I just upgraded my ship and the scanner and loot the shit out of the 3 planets i found in the system, there is also a station there but I have no main missions?! I started "play in normal" full open.
I joined my brother in this game but when I joined I could craft a hyperdrive as the game took my previous progress where I had one away but I still had my ship that I bought and ever other ship on that server I can’t buy because they all don’t have a hyperdrive

is the grave (when you die) available as well in survivor mode? because I died yesterday and didn't find anything.
i had an odd bug on the fueling hyperdrive quest when i filled the hyperdrive with fuel it kept saying antimatter lost quest failed restarting, and made me get more antimatter from the alien in the space station. turns out the ship i had I picked up from a crash site and the emril drive was breaking everything once i dismantled it all was fine.
Im having some weird bugs
1. Whenever I extract a glyph from a grave it actually doesnt go into my guide, as if I never got it
2. The "Suitable Home Base" notification comes up alot, yet I can never find it, the marker doesn't come up
And then im not sure if its a bug or if im doing something wrong but I cant get the blueprint analyser and the base quests dont come up

Generic Press the melee button followed by the jetpack button immediately after, almost simultaneously.

if i pick a planet to call home, can i get back there if i warp to a different system? i built a small 1x1 really early in the campaign but fuck knows where that it now, ive warped a few times since. i’m still early on in the game, i just did the bit where you get meet that alien in a hologram.

You have no bugs? Frigates are bugged, in the previous version the freighters were bugged, the Korvax are still bugged there's a lot of game-breaking bugs.... I also wish you made a video on how the hell one can get a freighter warp drive upgrade.
