I have lucky to work on a small cruise ship in years past and seen both endicott and Tracy arm and many other parts of coastal Alaska the past 43 years! No place even compares! Simply!😉👍
You did not put boatslive in first, you put nature in first. You don't make advertising and you don't ask for money (Patriot). You have retired in what you have worked and I thought in TV- or Filmbuisness. But you are an amateur and make the best videos in filming, editing and speaking, just showing us, what we are destroying. What a wonderful world! Thank you Mr. Fleming!
All your videos are worth an academy award! Stunning, beautiful, amazing adventures! We truly live in such a breathtakingly beautiful planet, we should all do what we can to protect and preserve it!
Our Alaska unlike most places is protected and preserved! You realize all of southeast Alaska’s Tongass national forest is 17 million acres, purest wilderness there is and largest intact temperate rainforest on earth with one of the few places left with tidewater glaciers??? Look it up! So glad Mom moved us up here in 1981! Still here!😉👍
I have wanted to do one of these cruises to Prince William from Vancouver but your videos have filled the void. I like your comment about these ships burning dirty oil, it explains a lot but it's bad news for places like Pacific Weat Coast which have to be the most beautiful in the world!
Well Mr. Fleming, again, a beautiful video with smart and interesting speak over in your calm radio-phonic voice... The thumb up, naturally, has been pressed already.
@@FlemingYachts You're a genius sir... thank you... i never realized how beautiful Alaska is... you are brave to go where you tread. Thank you again. Your boats are super nice.
Hello again, and great work! Anytime I need a vacation, I turn to "Venture" Regarding the cruise ship burning dirty fuel: Do these ships use something other than diesel? If its "bunker-c" does this burn dirtier than other fuels? Thank you in advance.
My understanding is that the big ships use heavy fuel oil which has to be heated in order for it to flow and be useable. I can tell you that ships visiting Antarctica use the heavy fuel until they reach Antarctica when they switch to diesel. I don't know for sure what regular cruise ships burn but they all discharge smoke which hangs around for significant periods of time. They need to do something about it because as many as 5 ships per day visit the small towns and fjords in Alaska.
A lot of cruise ships use much dirtier HFO(heavy fuel oil) aka bunker fuel rather than diesel(or less commonly gasoline). Some of the lines have promised to stop this practice by 2020, but the way that one was blowing black smoke I would bet anything it was using HFO.
I strongly believe that those big pollutants should not be brought to pristine places like this, or, and especially, Glacier Bay - UNESCO heritage site.
Thank you for another excellent video. Love them. Hate to break the news to you, though, but those cruise ships are burning the same fuel you are. Both your crafts are horrible for the environment.
Boat diesel isn't the cleanest energy in the world, but it a ton better then Heavy Fuel Oil aka bunker fuel. Here, learn something before you type dumb shit next time. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_oil#Bunker_fuel

Many thanks.
Very good; thank you.
Beautiful... just a pity that some of the cruise lines push out such filthy smoke as noted...
Thank you once again

Cool video, but I wonder what the carbon emissions are per person between Ventutre vs a cruise ship.

Your cluless about our Alaska! I live here, we have the most strict regulations on earth! Wake up!😳😳😳🤪
This guy kind of sounds like Alfred Hitchcock
I can only echo A Hendrix's comment below
I find this video on par with seeing God.

Does the boat your on burn clean fuel? Oh, I wasn't supposed to ask that. That ship per person is using less fuel than you. Maybe your special.

Keep the cruise ships away please.
