@@rickkanski4505 You know Rick, in Ketchikan I think my favorite thing to do is just walk around town. I think my second choice is a whale watching excursion - but I’m not sure if those are available in June. Lots of folks also enjoy the logging show. :) Walking tour of Historic Creek Street in Ketchikan, Alaska | Is Ketchikan Alaska Worth Visiting? th-cam.com/video/lbiU2Pqt1K0/w-d-xo.html
What month and what time did you do this excursion?I’m booking and I can’t decide what time to choose. Your video is awesome and I hope I see seals on ice!
Hiya! I’m pretty sure this was an early June cruise, and it was the latest time slot - I think it may have been 6 pm or later. It is so much more spectacular when you see it in person, especially when you get lucky and the sun comes out - but even in the drizzling rain, or cold wind blowing snow off the high peaks, it’s pretty gorgeous as well. My three favorite Alaska wildlife must see’s are sea otters in Sitka, momma and baby whales near Juneau, and these baby seals. Make sure, if you can, to take some kind of binoculars with you because there’s so much to see. (And rain gear, just in case. We can all handle more cold than we think, but wet and cold is awful. :) When are you sailing? Is this your first cruise to Alaska?
My very first cruise ever and I’m going May 7th-14th. Thank you for the response. I’m not sure why I can’t decide on 1:00 or 4:00 I’m sure they both will be great.
You’re going to love it. I’m sailing on the 14th. :) If you have a chance, pop back on here after your cruise and let everyone know about your experience as a first time cruiser to Alaska. :) Enjoy and safe travels!
Hi Fernando. I can’t find my receipt in my email right now, but I think it was about $150 US. Alaska excursions seem like they are priced higher this season. :) Thanks for watching.
I am going on the Spirit on june 6th and just bought this excursion today...cant wait
I hope you have great weather… don’t forget your binoculars. :) Bon voyage!
