Haworth was my mother's favourite place and she loved the Brontes, When she died in 2015, aged 99, I vowed to take her ashes to Howarth. One stormy rainy wind blown day in November that year I went into the parsonage graveyard and scattered her ashes. Don't tell anyone, as I'm not sure it's legal, but anyway, I don't care because she would have been so pleased.
I was so happy to see this wonderful place again in all its glory. I got married late last September and the only place we could think of we wanted to go to after the service to celebrate was Haworth. We had a lovely meal in The Fleece and walked through the churchyard finishing with a trip to Villette for cakes and pastries. It was the perfect day. Then I noticed my husband is actually on this video walking down Main Street on an earlier visit when we came early in September 2020! What a brilliant find. Thank you so much- this is a really special video! 😁
Being a huge fan of Emily Brontë I have always wanted to visit and soak up the atmosphere of the place where she lived and wrote. This beautifully shot video has made me determined to finally go.
A lovely video of a lovely village, many times i have visited and stayed in the Black bull and the White Lion and then did the walk to Top Withens and moorland wonderful memories ...Thanks for this tour.
I’m so glad you have done a video tour of Haworth. As I live not far away in Bradford I have been here many times since childhood with mum and dad, my mum loved Haworth and the surrounding countryside. I’m so lucky to live near here and it’s only about half an hour drive from me.
What a beautiful place. I love that the street you walked up wasn’t spoilt with modern shop fronts- they all blended in beautifully. I love that you are opening our eyes to some wonderful places. Thanks for sharing🥰
Love haworth we came in the other end and came down the hill. Visited the bronte house .was so overwhelmed to see the things they used all the furniture . Then saw the the pub the brother drank in .
wonderful. loved seeing Haworth again, my Aunty lived there up til about 30 years ago, it is also the home of the keighley and worth valley raiway , which was used in the 70s dramatisation of the railway children with Jenny Agutter and Bernard Cribbens.
Beautiful village the video is excellent l loved every minute of it. Thank you so much for sharing your video looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. X 😊😊😊😊🐱🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I love Haworth, so quaint and as you said yourself, it is steeped in history. Never been in the church or the museum should put them on my bucket list :-) Thank you .
We love Haworth, not sure why we don't visit more often as it's only a 15/20 minute drive away. The village where I live now,(Saltaire) would also make a good vlog as it has lots of history also.Keep up the good work.😀👍
@@martinnaylor I recognise your name from the live comments! Welcome! As you can see my stuff is very very different on my channel to the lads and what they do
Brilliant. Thank you. My grandmother Ethel Hardacre (nee Hardy) apparently taught at the school there before WW 1. My great grandfather Sunderland Hardy is buried in one of the graveyards to my knowledge.
Been there many times staying in the village as I spent a weekend on the Keighley and Worth Valley railway, and enjoyed an evening or two, maybe three in the fleece inn
Going to visit Haworth is such a fond memory for me and my family. We went there just before Xmas 2018 while on a trip back home to the UK. Watching your wonderful videos just makes me yearn for home 😢
Hey one of my fave places loooove Haworth been many times . Very hard work walking up the hill but well worth it . Lovely interesting. Shops . Had many meals in the Black Bull . Looks a bit more modern than it used to do the town . . I love the vintage shops used to be a lot of antique shops there . . Ouch getting to the old legs now nearly there .,.,!!!! Just around the corner wow it’s changed a lot since I was there. Nearly at the top; now the church and grave yard then the family house of the Brontes wonderful . and the famous school .just wonderful. . Been in the house many many times . Loooove it . Wonderful to see Haworth again, brings back many happy memories, travelling from Keighley on the worth valley line stem trains for me and my then 2 boys, the Bronte sisters for late Mrs .would like to go back again don't think I could mange the hill again 😂😂

Yes, you've definitely inspired me:) I deliberately watched your video as I wondered if a fairly small village would be worth a 2 hour drive, but you've definitely convinced me :) thank you 😊
The hill is a steep one, but if you're driving there is a carpark at the top where the Bronte House is so you don't have to walk up the hill I didn't realise this until I'd walked up the hill only to find a carpark at the top! 🤣
I bet you were worried when that silver van went past you (1.39 into your video) it was very close, you were very calm to carry on. Excellent video and extreme calmness too under pressure.
Another excellent presentation. As a suggestion how about the film locations of the film, The Railway Children 1970, fifty years ago, which was filmed at Haworth, Oakworth and the surrounding area.
I wanted to ask @Gimbal Walk TV when you are walking about , do you ask peoples permission to have them in your vlogs?.. i am finding it hard to go out because there are so many people just filming other people without asking them first and there are a lot of people not wanting to be on here.. i love your work , i just wanted to ask ?
Fantastic walks. Thank you for sharing these wonderful walks in some of the most beautiful places in this country. If only the weather was more consistent here then we would have no reason to go abroad (and queue at airports). My wife and I love Yorkshire. The people are so friendly and nothing is too much bother for the locals. One place we love and dare to offer for a tour is Hebden Bridge near Halifax. The setting is gorgeous, and we return at least once a year. Best time is when the local brass band is playing in the square around June.
I couldn't go on a trip so I enjoyed it very much! I also post videos of walking around Japan 👌 Let's do our best to post videos to each other! I support you!🥰
Great video, thanks. The place of my birth and still visit regularly to walk the moors. In the spirit of helpfulness - not being picky and don't know whether anyone here has mentioned it - but you spelt Haworth incorrectly twice, at 2.07 and 6.42 minutes. Should be Haworth. Easy mistake to make. Other than those two - all the others seem OK.
This only shows the touristy side of Haworth. There is another side on the Brow. I was born there. Sadly Haworth has turned into a tacky tourist trap and the number of new build houses is a travesty of what was really a Pennine working-class village. The main industry was in the wool trade, this, of course, has now disappeared in the mad march of consumer progress. Its not the same place that I grew up in.
Excellent. Ive wanted to take my son but because of lockdown I’ve not really been able to. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos during this time 🤩
I love your tours but this is a Covid Haworth and is NEVER usually this quiet, so it was strange to see. I have not been for years, so a few things have changed but mostly not. When I was a child you used to go in through the front door. I have a seventies picture of myself with denim flares sat on the doorstep! One thing I have to say, pick some better music for your tours, please. This is somehow inappropriate but otherwise - great stuff!
