I’m a Coloured, Afrikaans speaking South African. I love your content I support your channel, another sisters from Nigeria and Traveltainment from Zambia. I have travelled the world few years ago and had to respect the rules and laws in Dubai and similarly South Korea. As a foreigner in any country or even in your own home land, we still need respect the laws and rules. That is what most South Africans are actually crying for but the world see it differently. In England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 they kicked out Zimbabweans last year, was that brought up as being xenophobic, not at all. Let’s respect each other and live in peace in harmony. I was speaking to a lady from DRC when I was in line in the store and she was telling me that as much a SA is a great country but it's also a very tough country for foreigners. She was sold a false dream by others from her country living here and she came here only to realize that employment is almost impossible for a foreigner unless you possess a scarce skill or you basically work for peanuts and become a modern day slave and that made me realize that as much as these videos on TH-cam are nice as they shed positive light on my country but it will also be educational if you did a video on how it's not always the best decision to come to SA. Yes it's worked for a few but for many it's just a viscous cycle of suffering and poverty. SA is tough for its citizens but our government does ensure to give us resources and preferences in employment and that helps us but for others from outside the country it's tough and I don't see people making those videos to encourage people to stay in their country rather than to come and be entrapped here

I am a South African man and really love your video. I used to live in Hillbrow with a Congolese (DRC) guy called Frikari (excuse the pronounciation). He would constantly critisize South Africa and South Africans. Calling our police and government too weak and useless. Calling our girls loose. He would say in Congo this and that is not tolerated but here in South Africa it is common. So you can imagine He left me feeling that foreigners hate and undermine South Africa and South Africans. On the other hand I worked with another Congolese man in Cape Town. We were both trainee managers for Pick n Pay. His name was Mulumba. He was so well mannered and well educated. He did everything possible to respect South African laws and he even put an effort in learning the local language and culture. So you can see based on the two experiences I was left with a love/hate relationship with the Congolese. I didn't think for a day that there is anything foreigners could envy about South Africans until I watched your video. I always thought that they only hate us and have no regards for us. I think the Frikari scene stayed deep in my subconscious than that of Mulumba. It is videos like yours that heal us, I now feel that the Congolese don't hate us rather it was this particular guy who hated us . Thanks a lot
    Much ❤ love

As an African based in Australia, I think you should do your research before comparing South Africa to other Africa countries. DRC may be in a worst situations at the moment but I will prefer DRC to SA anyday. What do you mean other African countries should stay in their countries like the SA says who? Besides why are you in South Africa? I don't think you know the percentage of SA both whites and blacks running away from their country every year so they can stay alive because of the high rates of insecurity, crimes, unemployment, xenophobia and decaying infrastructures. . Go to Perth Australia where I am from, 60% of foreign immigrants population are SA citizens. Please do your research before posting any video that downgrade other Africa countries.

We should go back and fight for what ours drc is the richest in minerals yet one of the poorest country what our excuse? Yes South Africans run but how many do you know that are causing chaos? Australia would not accept foreigners even they not going to contribute to the country. Skilled workers are what countries abroad take in not just because

If you are not proud of yourself and your country, it's gonna be hard for other people to love you and be proud about your country. We don't say go back because we hate you, we say go back and fight while we continue our fight, so that we can build the whole of Africa. Africans seem to be invested in their own self interest instead of the interests of the whole nation. When we go study abroad, we go study so that we bring that skill back home. That's what we want for other African countries too. No one is going to come from elsewhere to better your country.
Take apartheid for instance, some of our people were exiled but they didn't just sit and hope to be integrated, they asked for help, they were in camps training to come back and fight, they lived in horrible situations but they didn't give up, SA needed to saved. Even then, the South Africans in the country never stopped fighting, we were being gunned down left and right. It was our fight to win and I hope others realize that it is in their hands to fight for their countries and make a better tomorrow for their kids.

Yes and no, South Africa primary and secondary school education does not follow 'rigor' learning (most common style in Africa) but rather a system that requires and encourages self learning. Rigor is what happened during Apartheid and we believe that that style of learning encourages propaganda and a hive mindset instead of critical thinking. I worked in education in SA with many USA teachers on a project. The biggest difference was that in USA, students use rigor. The USA school year covers maximum 2/3 of the curriculum of South African school year. The teacher uses old traditional methods and traditional testing, and the content is barely updated and narrow. Most of the Americans complained that SA teaches too much content.
In SA, children must take initiative in the learning process and the learning must not stop in the classroom. There are certain schools that are struggling to implement the learning style correctly but I don't believe we're behind other countries, we just use a different methodology. South African Matric is accepted in a lot of countries.

Many of our local beloved sisters and brothers got burned bcos they were accused of being Spies/sell outs. So it has nothing to do with foreigners or being xenophobic. SA unfortunately has a history of violent culture and the presence of illegal foreigners who violate and disrespect SA laws wont change that culture. Conversely so, SA arguably has one of the best human and civil rights laws in the entire African continent.....humanity is enshrined in our Constitution.

You can curry SAns favours without whipping up sentiments. The fight against apartheid involved other African countries like Nigeria. (Providing safe haven for estranged, persecuted freedom fighters and afflicting the apartheid government with excruciating economic sanctions)
Some foreigners (not these clout chaser TH-camrs) you now ask to stay in their countries are major contributors to SA economy and glimming cities...
I've never seen any developed countries with any ambition asking people to stay in their own countries and not come to theirs....only the self-acclaimed "Europe of Africa" wants other Africans to stay in their countries, because, they can't stand completion.
What you're calling "disrespect" is nothing but the 'audacity' of foreigners from other African countries to come in and compete...
Foreigners may commit crime. But some indigenous South Africans are way ahead of others in that regard on South Africans soil...
