      And lose every sponsor who would like to bribe them. Also, they can't get motorcycles to review from any manufacturer -even they get more views than any motorcycling channel. It shows how sensitive, childish and cowardly all the motorcycling industry and manufactures are. I though BMW would gladly give their every new bike to review, but no, even they fear they get few laughs from Ryan. Or he is smoking pipe or drinking Smirnoff, when reviewing their precious bike. 🤡

    That new water test was a really good test from a practical standpoint. Your gloves are constantly in motion on your bike and if pumping the fingers causes water ingress, that’s a big deal. Great video, man!

      if your goal is just to see airflow, it would be better to pump smoke into the glove and see it come out, like a smoke machine. Better yet, to simulate air flowing INTO the glove, suck air out from inside the glove and see it suck in smoke. But none would really simulate air being blown into the glove from the outside, with a hand in it blocking air

    riding all winter in the PNW, i've learned that no gloves are both supremely waterproof and also warm enough to keep you warm in a long downpour. Not to mention also comfortable. My ultimate solution is whatever high quality summer race glove i have and hippo hands. Honestly, i've not been cold or wet in two winters on my hands, bone dry and warm with that combo, add heated grips and cold rain is zero issue anymore!

    • @thomasatwood484

      @tylerfrost77 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a pair of old surplus winter military gloves. Honestly some of the best damn gloves I've ever had, ever. Rode through a driving rain in 38 degrees Fahrenheit, dry and mostly warm. They performed FAR better than my "Iron Jihas" and they were only $30, not 100+. The "Iron Jihas" don't breath wear as the Mil Sur gloves do, they produce a dry warm glow sort of heat; like a good cuddle under the comforter on a winters night. Only downfall is that they are bulky in the palm so they slide in the grip which and result in some palm fatigue. But on a budget, and they actually work? I'm buying another pair. Plus, they have room for a liner glove, so the knitter wool gloves my wife knitted for me fit Inside.

      I live in Massachusetts and ride all winter. I ride an 22 RE Himalayan. Only Bark Buster to block the wind. With a little leather treatment to fight the road salt they stood up well to the road salt. The only damage after one winter [which I'm not even certain was the winters fault] was one seam at the cuff has come undone, but it's held together.

    Great update, I was one of the Gore-Tex comments although I was a bit more civil than most I guess. My point is still that when I wear my AStars gloves with their DryStar liner my hands are ALLWAYS damp from perspiration even if the ride stays dry. When I wear my Klims with Gore-Tex my hands stay dry when it's dry out and only get wet in an extended wet ride. My real life experience is that Gore-Tex breathes, some other waterproof liners don't. Gore Tex is worth the bucks. Keep up the good work New Guy!

      I have Gore-tex boots. They were fantastic for a year until they leaked. The warranty in Malaysia doesn't mean much because they told me to ship my boots to China for an inspection. The cost of shipping was like 1/3 the price of my boots. If they rejected my warranty claim, I'd have to bear the cost of shipping my boots back to me. I might as well buy new boots. In the end I decided to stitch the soles because the glue kept peeling off, and I bought waterproof socks. They were great too although walking with water trapped in my boots felt squishy. The waterproof socks didn't last long though. They're already leaking. Sigh.

For example, using a summer glove to benchmark the slippage with a single layer, and testing the efficacy of their waterproofing method by using a true waterproof glove (like a rubber cleaning glove). As someone who wears gloves everyday for work all day long, the most important factor that produces good grip is proper sizing. It’s not the material moving against different layers, it’s your hand moving on the inside of the glove. Love these tests. One thing I think should have been explored are (lifehack) options for warm road gloves that offer top protection without blowing a hole in your wallet. For instance, plastic or latex gloves as inserts like the ones offered at gas stations (as mentioned in a previous F9 video). I've ridden though cold torrential downpours with non-waterproof motorcycle gloves and dishwasher gloves underneath - hands came out dry as a bone and toasty warm after riding at highway speeds for hours.

    Thanks. I’m 80 years old and pretty much just started riding again. My first M/C was a ‘61 Honda Super Hawk. I currently have a Sondors Metacycle waiting to be taken out of my “Mud Room”(I live in Idaho). I’ve had a SurRon for about 4 years and recently upgraded to the BAC 4,000/CHI 72 Volt Battery. I like the (125#)weight. The Metacycle was advertised at 200# Now they are saying 335#+ . They also sent the WRONG COLOR! I was sent an email asking if I would like to be an early purchaser of Sondors first motorcycle, The Metacycle. I’ve been a satisfied owner of 3 Sondors ebikes and the offering price ($5,000), and weight (200#)sounded good. Customer service (Ha) has never returned my emails, texts, or voicemails. I ordered the Naked Silver. I think the hollow aluminum casting looks interesting but not so much in Black. I guess I should have refused delivery, but after giving them a $5,000 no-interest loan for over two years, I thought I better take the BLACK one and straighten it out W/Customer Service. The bike was supposed to be delivered October of’21. Mine was delivered @ the end of December 2022. Blah, Blah, Blah. This is the only problem I can think of! My life is sooo great!j

    You guys crack me up! Thanks for all of the content you provide. One solution to the summer glove getting wet my husband I do is to put on a pair of Gortex mitten shells when it’s raining. I know it’s not the ideal, but it does keep our hands and wrists warm and dry during wet weather while still providing dexterity on the handlebars.

    Who out there doesn't pack down their gloves when they put them one??? What are you doing Revit

    • @dr.bherrin
      @dr.bherrin ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't...because mine fit. If you get a proper fitting pair, you won't need to pack them down. That being said, many companies make it impossible to get a pair that actually fits.

    • @Blazemon9999
      @Blazemon9999 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dr.bherrin a proper fitting pair should be snug and thus everyone needs to pack them down. Probably why there's so many thumbs up on my comment lol. You probably own loose fitting gloves so you don't pack yours down. Either that or you are using cheapy gloves that aren't made of a quality leather. Either way, u need to pack down your gloves

      It was ripped apart on the r/motorcycle subreddit bc they were using wrong flow rates of air and the very extreme test in the water tank. As that is quite unusall to happen while riding and the gloves are not designed to withstand such extreme Test

    I use cut/chemical proof gauntlet gloves for factory work when I’ll be riding for a while or in heavy rain. I wear them over seamless glove liners that have little silicone dots on the grip, super warm and super dexterous. I’d bet my hands they would hold up pretty well to the abrasion of wet concrete considering their cut proof nature and several layers
