you know what? You just showed me why it was familiar, it reminded me of Guerlain like I said in the review but this pinpoints it to the exact scent and you are right, a little of GC.

I recommend trying out Lorenzo Pazzaglia’s line of fragrances, it’s starting to get some buzz around the community And im pretty sure all of his fragrances are 30-40% concentration, Lorenzo is a chef turned perfumer! I own Van Py Rhum and it’s a joy to wear, his line is full of boozy dark fragrances that im sure you would love… Im looking at trying out Fom Next which I think translates to smoke in some sort of Italian dialect, and then choco raptor is also on the list for me to try it
Marc, have you had the chance to sample Uncle Serge's le participe passe? I don't think it's for everybody, but I like it. It performs. Cumin & Caramel. I did mention it's not for everybody.
I think it’s a solid release. Nothing exceptional like others from his fragrance line. There isn’t very much of a smoke aspect to this fragrance, but as in the name. Écrin de Fumée delivers more of a hazy overall aspect to dissent. I’ll always welcome to release from Uncle Serge. 😀
Mmmmm chocolate covered cherrrrry 🤤 I totally get what you mean though. Was expecting more smoke myself. But I feel like I would've been all over this one 6-7 years ago. Now the genre is getting kinda full.
Gonna have to sample this - I am such a sucker for these dark, winter tonka/leather beauties - but yeah, I probably have a dozen different heavy overlaps already in my collection.... but I gotta sniff it at least 😆

Thanks for sharing! It can be one of those scents that you could wear in the fall without really thinking much.
Dark cacao, rum, tonka, tobacco in that order with ENOUGH smoke for me. Great frag. Dark but sweet and fruity.

truth. Even a good pinch of smoke would of changed this one
I have not tested it yet but if it had a somewhat loud projection for 2-3 hours, I would've buy this. now i'm not sure about this one.
Always test yourself before making judgement imo.
What's a better tobacco alternative to this fragrance, Mr. Marc?
I'd just go Chergui from the same brand and call it a day tbh

Nice opening with rum,but boring & somehow dated dry down....not a groundbreaking scent,it's not worth a full bottle for me....
