@michael ye every time they describe "The Shredder" it sounds like a computer. "A complete reboot is needed" would be more accurate. And I TOTALLY agree. Hahaha.
Good stuff my man as always.. also thanks for the discount. Just copped tickets to see my red sox faceoff against the rays April 8th! Can't wait for the season to start already lol, evrybody already countin my sox out. To steal a line: YA GOTTA BELIEVE. THE TEAM THE TIME BABY ;)
@GiraffeNeckMarc , Hey love your TH-cam channel dedicated to MLB and Baseball. Could you do a video in the future about the MLB Blackout Policy and how to fix it? Thanks and keep up the great work !
I would’ve been so happy if I saw Rhys Hoskins at number 1, but if I saw Mike Trout at number 2 I would actually flip out.. I just wanted to say that Rhys actually has a beautiful swing and I see him having the top 3 home run record this year
This top 10 lists were made by the shredder, which is a computer that relies on stats only. This list was made by the mlb network analysts, and not the shredder
Two different groups must have made the lists. Where's Corey Kluber? Where's Carlos Carrasco? Where's Roberto Perez? Where's Elvis Andrus? Where's Andrew Bennentendi? Where's Andrelton Simmons? Where's Kenley Jansen?
I’ve been seeing a lot of lists with Acuña as #1 ahead of Trout...is that because of stolen bases? These vids are so helpful for fantasy baseball so thank you!
If they truly believe that they are idiots. I'm a braves fan and I love Acuna but he is no Mike Trout. I also think that Soto is a more complete hitter then Acuna. Acuna has him beat with the speed and arm though IMO
I’m pretty positive I didn’t see mad bum in there 🧐. Also I’m pretty sure Marcell ozuna is definetly in top 100 especially if you put joc Peterson in there no offense to joc I know he is pretty good but still. Also I may be Braves biased but what about will smith or melancon. Let me know if those two deserve it. (Sorry for the Braves bias maybe marcell doesn’t deserve it idk)
I watched every one of these on MLB Network, the top ten right now at each position was done using only numbers put into a computer(The Shedder), the top 100 overall players were done by numbers and also the eye test, so human input was used along with the numbers, thats why the rankings seem to be very different as far as some being higher in the 100 but lower in the top ten or vice versa.
SulfuricPro well... last year he had a .291 batting average, 35 home runs, and a 3.3 war so u would be mistaken. He is a really good player stuck on a horrible team, reminiscent of Realmuto and the Marlins.
Kershaw at 61 is crazy, I understand that last year was like his worst season excluding his rookie season, but homeboy still had a 3.03 era and went 16-5, max scherzer put up a 2.92 and 11-7, and placed top 15. I’m not saying Kershaw should rank ahead of him to start this year, but I think he is definitely way to low. It’s just crazy how the perception has changed, people don’t seem to rank him against the other pitchers but against his previous self, where he was the arguably the best pitcher in the history for multiple years. I’m just saying if you gonna but scherzer top 15 Kershaw still deserves to be top 30 cuz he essentially put up the same numbers
Anthony State of Mind judge always gets a subbed he had a better year then altuve in almost every category except average hits and stolen bases judge had a higher war higher on base percentage and better defensive metrics yet somehow altuve still won MVP and that’s not including the cheating scandal for some reason the MLB just doesn’t want to acknowledge how good judge really is and it’s sad!
Aaron Judge is a top 5 player in baseball. If you look at the stats even with all his injuries, he has better stats since the start of his career than Nolan Arenado since 2017, Alex Bregman since 2017, and much more.
It's fine, I get you wanted to do it live for your reaction, but the constant repeating yourself about the errors got old. Still watch em though glad I found this channel.
Marc talks a lot about being consistent. Now tell me if I'm wrong but I feel that if it's a ranking saying RIGHT NOW then it doesn't take into account the season they had before.
No one on MLB Network openly asserts the following, but it’s pretty clear that MLB’s top 100 right now lists are constructed largely to provide debate segments to compare certain categories of players. This is why you’ll see a lot of areas with members of the same team next to each other, and/or players who play the same position next to each other and/or players of a similar age next to each other. This list also isn’t constructed objectively like the shredder’s top 10 lists for each position. And this is why you’ll see contradiction between this list and the top 10s.
It’s also worth mentioning that the shredder’s top 10 doesn’t use postseason statistics. The top 100 does. And that is largely why there is a big difference in someone like Strasberg. IMO they should do the top 10 right now based on how they think each team will perform at each specific position. That way starting pitching depth and relief pitching depth is analyzed. As well as utility players like David Fletcher or Kike’ Hernandez who provide a lot of value in the construction of a team.
You know the ranking is bs when if you trade players straight up, im taking a lot of the guys in a much different order. These catchers are being undervalued to these mediocre outfielders that aren't good fielders
The Top 10 lists was base off this thing called "The Shredder"
It was its list...
@michael ye every time they describe "The Shredder" it sounds like a computer.
"A complete reboot is needed" would be more accurate. And I TOTALLY agree. Hahaha.
A judge top 5 hands down. All Houston Astro players off the list, they cheated.
The shredder is bs
@Gerrit Durant the shredder is not a person the shredder is a system
It’s funny how Marc memorized all of the top 10 position player rankings
Didn’t even start the video and I know Marc is going to go off on this list
In other news, Yasiel Puig remains unsigned.
Pretty good lure For a lureless toon rangers can u plz sign him we need a right fielder
I think teams are hesitant about signing him because how many fights he starts or escalates
El Chancho that shouldn’t be too much of a concern
Justin Sime they have an air conditioning stadium...
Top 10 was decided by the shredder, top 100 wasn’t
They really went by teams when making this list. Lots of players on the same team or position were bunched close together in certain rankings.
“Are you hanging out with Jon Heyman, were you saucin?” LMAOOO
whenever he meant to say someone was too low he said they were too high lol
Why are they always jumbling up players based on their teams and position together? This seams like a 12 year old made this list
Ryan Berner it seems like a 12 year old made this comment
Rayzr it seems like your iq is 12
Justin Sime I am not a dodger fan, I am not a fan of any team in the West as a matter of fact so I do not have any problems or hatred for the Angels.
Justin Sime cards bro
I know. They put them together by team (Garver, Sano, Polanco) and position (Chapman, Yates, Hader)
Christian Yelich: Two fantastic seasons, almost MVP twice if it wasn't for the injury
Marc: I need consistency
@GiraffeNeckMarc
, Hey love your TH-cam channel dedicated to MLB and Baseball. Could you do a video in the future about the MLB Blackout Policy and how to fix it? Thanks and keep up the great work !
And thankyou so much Marc for all the great vids and giving Nolan the credit he deserves
Thx Marc clicked this right away imma big fan of ur ranking reactions
Twins slugger Eddie Rosario puts up beast numbers and the MLB had the audacity to put Bo Bichette up there.
4:15 kirby yates says 83 instead of 73 lol that bothers me.
I would’ve been so happy if I saw Rhys Hoskins at number 1, but if I saw Mike Trout at number 2 I would actually flip out.. I just wanted to say that Rhys actually has a beautiful swing and I see him having the top 3 home run record this year
Awesome! I was waiting for this after that last reaction video.
Bregman's career numbers are better on the road than at home, even with the short left field.
Rank the top 100 prospects!!! Great video Marc
This top 10 lists were made by the shredder, which is a computer that relies on stats only. This list was made by the mlb network analysts, and not the shredder
My man, I hope the MLB knows who you are. Because youre right
Love your vids mark keep up the good work
Does MLB know that there is someone called Eddie Rosario who exists? Maybe he’s just in my imagination
Eddie Rosario was a big snub
How the heck does Bichette and Vlad Jr get over Berrios and Rosario. People keep sleeping on my twins
You should do a video on “The Shredder”, which I’m very positive is just Brian Kenny and the rest of the MLB Network analysts 🤷♂️
Also thank you for addressing Devers :)
I was actually thinking that Mike Trout wouldn’t be in here
People from the same team and same positions were clumped up together on this list.
like if the mets won’t win the world series...
This hits me hard. Harder than Altuve banging that trash can
Altuve was 17
Video Idea: The worst teams the year after they won a ring
Cruz had a legitimate case to be MVP last year. The dude was a stud and still is below top 50 somehow
He’s a fucking dh
If anyone tells me Nelson Cruz should’ve been MVP I’m leaving the room
They forgot Eddie Rosario. Very underrated
Two different groups must have made the lists.
Where's Corey Kluber? Where's Carlos Carrasco? Where's Roberto Perez? Where's Elvis Andrus? Where's Andrew Bennentendi? Where's Andrelton Simmons? Where's Kenley Jansen?
I think Eddie Rosario deserves be here. He’s better that Tim Anderson at least
Being a dodger fan, I agree with it being there are 6 dodgers lmao
They had 8 players.
The outfield:
98.Joc Pederson
3.Cody Bellinger
4.Mookie Betts
The infield:
77.Cory Seager
36.Max Muncy
54.Justin Turner
Pitchers:
29.Walker Beuhler
61.Clayton Kershaw
Justin Sime that’s your championship, only thing you guys celebrate and it comes every few years😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Justin Sime I know that. At least we can contend this year and have pitching unlike the angels
Justin Sime cares. You know the dodgers are contending this year
Justin Sime athletics
Great video!!
In the other ranking vid they put Javier Baez in front of xander bogaerts but bogaerts is if front of javy Baez in this one MLB get crap Wright
I’m so pumped about all the Mariners on this list...
Lets goo i’ve been waiting for this
Thank you for noticing about Jose Abreu
1st I love the vids mark keep it up
Eddie Rosario left out..........what? He was a solid defensive player with great hitting
Bro mark on the grind respect ✊
Love vids
notice in the 80-71 mark...Yates is between Hader (74) and Kepler(72)...but Yates says 83! lol its hillarious
Marc didn’t you have David Peralta on your top 50? I didn’t see him on the top 100.
My top 10:
1. Trout
2. Betts
3. Bellenger
4. Yelich
5. Arenado
6. DeGrom
7. Rendon
8. Lindor
9. Bregman
10. Verlander
Justin Sime yes I saw that which is actually pretty ridiculous. Yep, he cheated, but he’s still one of the 2 best second basemen in baseball.
Justin Sime agree 100%
I’ve been seeing a lot of lists with Acuña as #1 ahead of Trout...is that because of stolen bases? These vids are so helpful for fantasy baseball so thank you!
If they truly believe that they are idiots. I'm a braves fan and I love Acuna but he is no Mike Trout. I also think that Soto is a more complete hitter then Acuna. Acuna has him beat with the speed and arm though IMO
3:05 is everyone just going to ignore that it goes from 74 to 83?
LIAM HENDRICKS!!! TREY MANCINI!!! BLAKE TREINEN!!! KOLTEN WONG!!! JONATHAN VILLAR!!! CHRIS PADDOCK!!!! VICTOR ROBLES!!! RHYS HOSKINS!!!
👑
Do would u rather have the combined la or ny teams comparison
Did they leave Brian Reynolds off the list or am I blind
I’m pretty positive I didn’t see mad bum in there 🧐. Also I’m pretty sure Marcell ozuna is definetly in top 100 especially if you put joc Peterson in there no offense to joc I know he is pretty good but still. On the top 10 pitchers Buehler was 10 and Greinke was 6, in this Buehler was 29 and Greinke was 66
Hello Marc my name is Sebastian and I agree with your rankings
Trea turner is vastly underrated
James C Agreed thank u
You don’t know squat about walker buehler he’s the ace of a top 3 baseball rotation
kershaw is still better than buehler, it dont matter who the ace is
Where is Mancini?
Wow. I didnt know that name existed outside of baktimore Maryland
SulfuricPro well... last year he had a .291 batting average, 35 home runs, and a 3.3 war so u would be mistaken. He is a really good player stuck on a horrible team, reminiscent of Realmuto and the Marlins.
@@goodguys6266 I was being sarcastic. I'm an Orioles fan
SulfuricPro lol... sometimes tough to tell the difference between ignorance and sarcasm online. My b.
@@goodguys6266 we Orioles fans cant catch a break, hahaha
4:13 Kirby Yates is ranked 83 in the 80-71 section. That’s another big problem lol
Kirby Yates 83 and Max Kepler 72? Typo lol 😂 4:11
At 9:12 you say the shortstops aren’t getting a lot of love but Trevor Story, Boagarts ( I spelt that wrong) and Baez and all on the top 25
it wasnt the worst...but some of these were like damn hell no
great vid
Marc really be getting on MLB network!
Why isn't Eddie Rosairo on this list?
Are you still going to do the nike jerseys reaction video?
When are you going to do the reacting to spring training jersys i would love to see that!☺
Anyone else notice that Yates was 83 in the 80-71 list?
My reaction to where the Dodgers were put: www.dodgersdebrief.com/post/8-dodgers-make-the-mlb-network-top-100
Tommy Pham is the most underrated MLB player right now
Kershaw at 61 is crazy, I understand that last year was like his worst season excluding his rookie season, but homeboy still had a 3.03 era and went 16-5, max scherzer put up a 2.92 and 11-7, and placed top 15. Nelson cruz played DH last year marc
Don’t think soto over judge yet at all. Definitely could be after this year but not yet. Judge is an amazing hitter with gold glove defense
Agreed I am a Yankees fan so I might be bias but if Judge is healthy he is really good and Soto is as well but right now Judge has the edge.
where’s Greg Bird tho
CHESS Fan EXACTLY
Everybody needs to go watch Dan rourkes video on how judge got snubbed
Anthony State of Mind judge always gets a subbed he had a better year then altuve in almost every category except average hits and stolen bases judge had a higher war higher on base percentage and better defensive metrics yet somehow altuve still won MVP and that’s not including the cheating scandal for some reason the MLB just doesn’t want to acknowledge how good judge really is and it’s sad!

I just noticed that it put Kirby Yates at #83 in the 80-71 margin. Obviously they meant #73, but I thought it was pretty funny
It feels like they just went to each team and put them all together
I feel like they went with a bit of irony in this list, and number correlation because Goldscmidt was ranked 46th, and wears #46 for the Cardinals.
It's fine, I get you wanted to do it live for your reaction, but the constant repeating yourself about the errors got old. Still watch em though glad I found this channel.
iron man it’s not live.....
Marc talks a lot about being consistent. Now tell me if I'm wrong but I feel that if it's a ranking saying RIGHT NOW then it doesn't take into account the season they had before.
The likely reason why some players are ranked higher than others on different lists, are perhaps because there are different voters.
My top 25
1. Trout
2. Yelich
3. Bellinger
4. Degrom
5. Cole
6. Bregman
7. Arenado
8. Betta
9. Velander
10. Rendon
11. Lindor
12. Scherzer
13. Acuna
14. Soto
15. Chapman
16. Semien
17. Strasburg
18. Judge
19. Alonso
20. Baez
21. Altuve
22. Devers
23. Marte
24. DJ
25. Springer
I thought Justin Verlander was the only fine wine but bartolo... man

Where was Eddie Rosario?
some of these aged well😅” i don’t have degrom better than lindor”😐 rendon at 6🤡
Corey Kluber was hurt last year, but you can't leave him out of the top 100
Love you Marc
We need the uniform review bro!
You know the ranking is bs when if you trade players straight up, im taking a lot of the guys in a much different order. These catchers are being undervalued to these mediocre outfielders that aren't good fielders
Both of my favorite players are next to each other joey gallo and giancarlo stanton
Hey Marc, just want to say that the top 10 uses mostly advanced stats while the top 100 uses the eye test.
Story was ranked over Linder in SS rankings but higher on all players
When are u gonna start ur season predictions
Do top ten best stealers
I like how Marc thanks MLBs own network for getting the rankings right, i.e. agreeing with him...
