My fiancé has been diagnosed with a brain tumor in the past year and is basically bedridden, and girl, the chores!!!! Never ending. Being a caregiver is extremely exhausting and tasking. It does get easier with time.
My favourite thing to listen to when cleaning is TheWads on youtube. Kim is hilarious!
I typically do most of everything at our house. I weed eat, mow our 5 acres, keep up with the house chores take care of the kids and everything that goes along with that. My husband works and works hard so I like to help him out as much as I can in other ways outside of house chores

It’s hard doing everything on your own but it’s also good to look at the positive side and be greatfull that nothing extremely bad happened to him.
That’s crazy! I got into an accident and crushed my entire hand and had fingers amputated just two months ago Ill be in recovery for over a year 🥺😭 I’ve had to learn to tie kids shoes get them dressed, wash & fold laundry, change diapers.. all things wife and mom with one hand. It’s pretty crazy but it’s doable!
Hey! We had the same thing happen to our GE dishwasher and it's a super easy fix: replace the flood switch! It's only like $50 and our dishes are bone dry again.

if seems like extra work hanging tank tops. I just fold them and put them in a drawer.
Plastics in the dishwasher always struggle to fully dry so if it is mostly plastic a new one won’t help… other then that does it have a fan?? If the fan is busted it will still be wet with the heating because it creates steam that turns into condensation

Our old dishwasher would not dry the dishes good if we did not use the jet dry solution. Not sure if this is what is going on with yours.
Our new dishwasher doesn’t require it and we use the dishwasher pods with the drying agent in them.

My dishwasher drives us crazy and we run it daily then have to air dry the dishes under the ceiling fan with the racks of wet dishes pulled out and it drives my husband insane lol we find that the jet dry helps alittle bit

Do you use jet dry? It’s a must imo. Not sure if that will help your current situation but I swear by it. Also running the garbage disposal and hot water before starting the dishwasher. Hope you don’t have to buy a new dishwasher!
I'm a girly girl like you and normally leave the "masculine" chores to my husband too, lol! But I have to say I've mowed our lawn a few times, and I actually find it so rewarding and satisfying. Almost like vacuum lines but way better! Plus it's a great workout!

@@MoreWithMorrowstrash bags are too heavy for you you can’t handle the suction you will struggle with taking out the trash for the rest of your life I can guarantee that you simply can’t handle the suction you struggled to get the trash bag out of the trash can and I have severe anxiety about girls taking out the trash and now I’m having a panic attack and I’m gonna have to go to the hospital all because of you

Britney I just got a brand new 8x10 rug from the At Home store and my French Bulldog just peed on it and its mostly white with some light gray and alittle black in it. Thanks for the recommendation for the spray. I actually use straight white vinegar and it works like a charm especially for odor removal it smells like a salad until it drys but once it does you smell absolutely nothing no vinegar no pee, vomit ect... my husband will shampoo the rug later but for rn the blotting and vinegar has done the trick
Omg my dishwasher does the same thing If you figure it out please lmk I literally have open the dishwasher and slide out the racks and turn on the ceiling fan to dry them for several hrs its so flipping annoying 🤬
You are doing amazing!! My boyfriend started a new job about a year ago so he’s gone 2 weeks at a time so I totally get this! I was raised by a single mother so thankfully I was able to learn how to do all the “manlier things” at a young age so I didn’t have to rely on anyone! Also there’s nothing you can’t learn these days with TH-cam and Google, sweets! You can always use ear protection for the loud stuff cuz I’m the same way & it’s getting worse as I get older lol

You should try adding in JetDry to your dishwasher. There’s a little compartment next to where you put the detergent in!

✨I NEVER use the dry feature on my dishwasher because it is too expensive...I load my dishwasher all day and run it after dinner and as soon as they are done washing I crack the door open and leave it until the next morning and they are usually completely dry... unless a measuring cup or something turns over and gets water in it. But you should try it...GAME CHANGER!!

I think you are giving frank too much leeway. Frank should be able to help out more with things like laundry and dishes. You can do those one handed! I hope that's not too harsh, but just how I feel.
Frank helps a lot any other time. He took care of the house and kids when Brit was down. This is part of her role as wife, carry the weight until he’s back better.
