- Hey guys! In today's video I'm doing some EXTREME organizing our pantry! I'm taking everything out of our pantry, getting rid of old and expired foods, decluttering, and reorganizing! When I pour foods in my clear containers, I write the expiration date on the back or bottom of the container with a dry erase marker to keep up with it! Then just wipe it off and put new date when you refill 🤗
Haha girl I was cleaning my mother in laws kitchen and she had stuff from the late 90s and early 2000s. March 2020 isn't that bad.
After my gram passed in '09 we found brown sugar from a store that closed before I was born. I was born in 1988 😳
Most canned goods, dry goods and spices are good after their expiration date. It’s more of a best before. Spices don’t expire they just might not be as strong anymore. No need to throw everything out.
Well I also throw things out bc my husband refuses to eat anything that’s out of date. Everyone has different preferences

@@allynicoleee8033 I have the same problem! I know many food items are still usable after the ‘best if used before’ date but my husband refuses to keep/eat anything that is past that date. So frustrating!

Also my mind is blown by the grocery bag holder!! I always throw them away. I was so sick of stuffing bags inside each other and having a mess. Now I need that!!

I cleaned out my walk-in pantry last week and thought I had a lot of food! I felt a whole lot better when I saw your clean out! I’ll definitely being showing your video to my husband because he thinks I’m not normal with my ‘hoarding’ as he calls Orr. Thanks for being my reality check!
Satin finish paint is the best, enough gloss to be kid friendly and wipeable, but not so glossy to be super shiny.

Use KILZ oil primer on the stain. Paint over it with your flat paint you’ll be good to go!

Mix one part white vinegar with one part hot water. Use a spray bottle to apply the solution to the grease. Allow it to set for several minutes and then wipe with a clean rag. Work in small areas and repeat as many times as necessary to get the wall clean. This may work to get the grease stains off your wall. Hope this helps 😊😊
OMG you have the BEST chamoy! Chilerito is bomb! That plus tajin on fruit ... yum! I eat it with carrots. :)
I would say to look online for the oil on the wall because a lot of times even with primer it will bleed right through. I would probably try sanding the area until the oil is gone. I’ve read where people had to gouge out the area and fill it back in with drywall putty.
@Jac B that’s why I said to look online. I forget where I had read it. If they use an oil based primer iirc they’d have to paint the entire wall, not just the spot. I was just throwing out an idea.

The pantry looks great! I miss having a walk in pantry. We have a pantry cupboard and a shelf unit in the basement. It's important to keep organized and rotate food so it doesn't expire.
I have seen videos on TikTok where they covered these style of shelves with home made wooden covers and it looked great. Just an idea for a cheaper makeover idea.

You did great ..I just did mine pantry and I also had a lot of things Expired …But from NOW I will only buy what we need and use and Nothing else ..plus I wanna start canning
I work at Lowe’s in upstate NY as an MST (merchandise service associate). All the stores just set up Halloween decorations, pretty cool ones, and great inflatables AND really nice fall decor (wreaths, pumpkins, etc) I shop at Target and all that myself but I believe the fall decor is the best I have seen for decor and when the Christmas comes out soon (trim a tree reset). They already have trees in by the way 😂 it’s crazy to be set for Christmas right after. Everyone ends up getting more than they came for even my husband will have to come back lol.
I always start a project and then I am like nope I don’t want to do it lol. But then when it’s done I am so glad

Most unopened dry good are safe even 3-5 years past exp date. But especially spices! They don't go bad, they're just less potent, so you may need to use more of it than a recipe calls for. no need to toss!
Ooooh a door that has glass I would say not all the length of the door tho (kids can shatter it if the glass goes almost the whole length of the door) but like glass half way so it's like a "window" so that you can put a cute decal that says pantry with like a decal wreath around the word! Having it not all glass can also allow the pantry to get disorganized without displaying the mess because u know, life happens.

Self rising flour has salt in it so you can do a taste test to tell which flour is which 😄

You could repaint it in a semigloss finish. Have you thought repainting one room at a time over a period of time until the whole house was done?

I love this video really but don‘t throw away all of the Food 🙈😢 for the most time it‘s still good. Smell it and taste it and you will see that you could eat it. In Germany a lot of people do that all the time, it safes so much money. Love from Germany ♥️

The new powder Tide (1 teaspoon) just one..... in bucket of HOT water will do it.

If you use a hair dryer on the door lock it will come straight off, ive gotten so many child locks of my cabinets with that trick
why dont you etch the jar contents? that way you cant mix them up anymore. or are they too big for your laser?

I may be wrong but the table is ikea and it doesn't have a leaf.
You can tell if it's self rising flour or not by tasting a little bit. The self rising has salt and baking powder the regular flour has no taste at all.

I think frank is really good about keeping the kids while brit films! He seems like such a good dad and partner
Ahhh I feel this on so many levels 🥲🤣 honestly with the older three kids in school I have a little bit more time now! I do a lot too whenever Fletcher or Scarlett takes a nap! Frank also helps out a ton while he’s in between lasering ❤️

Literally about 10 km from where I sit there are children dying of hunger. Please be mindful of buying unnecessary food and throwing it away. Expiry dates is a consumer stunt to make people in first world countries buying more regularly.
