Hey Jacob! Looking from your list and the kind of places you like to visit I think you would definitely love visiting northeast of India. If you felt Belakupe to be so unlike India then let me tell you northeast India will probably be the most unique experience you'll ever have in India. Our people, culture, food everything is very very different from the rest of the country :) Also I've been following you for quite a time now and I have noticed you're yet to explore this part... waiting for you to plan a trip here in your next visit to our country. Also, the biggest plus point to visit here is the lack of tourists :) This part is definitely your kind of place to visit... lack of tourist, nature, mountains.... all the good things you love 🙂 I'm from Arunachal Pradesh, one of the eight states of the northeast India. Come here and complete your India travel 👍Btw, I'm one of your fans from here 😊

I've realised that there are a lot of people in the comments who are mad at you for either not mentioning a certain place or for not having visited a certain part of India. To them I'd want to say that it is humanly impossible for a someone to cover everything in a country that is as diverse as India even after visiting it a 10th time. I mean I have been living here all my life and I haven't seen even 5% of it. So... Give our boi some space. Obviously it is more like a list of Jacob's personal favourite places even though, the title might be a tiny bit misleading to some people. The list isn't exhaustive and nowhere did he imply that these 24 places are all there is to India. The world knows there's more to this country.

My top 24 places would be totally different apart from Jaiselmere, Kajaraho and the Taj Mahal. To be fair, I don't have a list but it would include Pushkar camel fair( Rahjastan) and Puri (Orissa). It just shows what a diverse place India is that everyone has their own top 24.

India is a nice country and big brother to us. good to know them as I have roots there. respect from Pakistan.
It is a country with incredible stories and huge contrasts. Metropolises like Delhi are growing at a tremendous rate and who can tell that idea of islamabad was originated by looking at new delhi.? No matter how well you know the area, there is always something new to discover. As well as street cafés and exclusive restaurants, this documentary visits India’s biggest hospital and the practices of plastic surgeons, the "Kingdom of Dreams” and gloomy ghettos. This is a documentary film for those who like to visit, marvel, smile, and enjoy.

Jacob thank you for compiling this list I am just so envious of how many places you have visited in India pity that I lived in India for my first 19 years of life and didn't visit anything other than Delhi and Agra... You have really inspired me to go back to India and see many of the places you filmed.

Hi From Beautiful New Zealand. I loved your video on best intrepid places to explore in India. I much prefer the last few where there are fewer people and which are harder to get to. Awesome knowledge, research and great tips on how to get there. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey from the comfort of my deck in Paihia. :-)

Hey Jacob! These review videos are very helpful with the information that they contain & they really impact how people tend so spend their time in another country. I admire how you put in the time & effort to really analyze everything to the best of your ability & come up with the right amount of material & sources to explain how or why something is. Keep up this amazing work dude, you’re doing fantastic.

I know lots of people may disagree that you didn't added north eastern or other north or even some eastern part. But India is so diverse to agree everyone on one list. Some of the places I even heard of first time.
Keep exploring. But yeah, Eastern India will bow you away.

"i've been to india three times... 4 months total... i've seen hundreds of places... " that's more than a place a day. Who travel that way cannot share "experience" it's like googling a place when you stay a few hours, no real connexion with locals, etc....
people going 4 months a year for decades are more wise and humble.

I salute you for being so passionate about your craft. You even looked for a place to finish the video within the day after being kicked out and you even sacrificed doing it in an uncomfortable place. I also admire that you're very knowledgeable about the places you talk about. You're spontaneous in telling your story and describing the places you've visited. I could just imagine how you were so into videoing yourself in that place and then somebody told you that it's prohibited. Haha! The energy didn't lowered down though. Good thing. Good job, Jacob!

Hey Jacob! Really admire the fact that you covered so much in your travels. Been to some of the places and will try visiting the Butterfly beach for sure!
There's plenty more to explore though.
I highly recommend Kerala, North Eastern states and definitely a hike to the Valley of Flowers in Himachal Pradesh. You seem to have missed out on Kashmir, Pondicherry, the Andamans as well. But that only means you have more reasons to visit India.😃

We want the full India experience, if anybody has any suggestions on places to visit, I’d love to hear. We want the true experience, not just the tourist hotspots. I’m super excited to experience this beautiful country (:

As per recent update (12.12.2015) on Border Road Organisation (BRO) website, Mana Pass has become highest motorable road in the world at an elevation of 18399 feet (5608 mtr). Despite limited working period and adverse weather conditions, BRO Constructed Rattakona-Mana Pass road in 71 Days. Indian civilians with prior permits from the army can travel up there.
This road is extended part of 538 km long national highway (NH58) which connects Ghaziabad (near New Delhi) with Badrinath & Mana Pass in Uttarakhand. This highway passed through Badrinath, Joshimath, Chamoli, Vishnuprayag, Nandaprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, Srinagar, Devprayag, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Roorkee, Muzaffarnagar, Khatauli, Meerut and Modinagar and ends at Ghaziabad near the border with Delhi.
Mana Pass is a mountain pass between India and Tibet which is higher than Khardungla Pass in Leh-Ladakh region at an elevation of 5,602 m (18,380 feet). Niti pass is situated at an altitude of 5068 m. These two passes (Niti & Mana) have been an ancient trade route between Uttarakhand and Tibet, until its closure in 1951 by the Chinese. Both the passes are always under control of Indian Army. One need permission to visit Mana Pass and Niti Pass from Army or SDM, Joshimath. Tourist can visit upto Mana village (in Mana Valley) and Gamshali village (in Niti Valley) without permission.

    Hi Jacob. Love from India❤️
Thanks for introducing me to Butterfly beach and Bala Quila, rest of the places on your list I’ve already visited.
This is the 1st time I’ve visited your channel, dono you have visited the places I am about to suggest.
    1. State of Meghalaya, visit Mausingram and the live root village and too many beautiful villages nearby.
    2. Sibasagar, a tiny-miny place in the state of Assam and of course you get to drench in views of tea estates all over the state.
    3. Coorg- a hill station in Karnataka and its THE PLACE to visit if you love coffee. Adjoining places nearby almost feel like heaven if you visit early to mid June, as this is not the peak time to visit because of monsoon, but take my word for it, there can be no better time than the monsoon.
    4. Spitti valley- In the State of J&k.
    5. Chittorgarh fort - it will be worth your time and travel.
    6. Zero, Bomdilla- in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Thank me later for suggesting these 2 places.😀
Hope you didn’t mind me suggesting. Let me know if you’ve already visited these places.
    ❤️❤️❤️
