Lovely video! I'm new to the channel and I live in The Netherlands. Even though we have alot of great fishing water here (rivers, lakes, canals, etc), I think the waters in the UK look so much more authentic, picturesque. These streams seem untouched for a 1000 years. That's why I really enjoy UK fishing YT channels. Not just for the fishing but also the scenery. Also, about the video's you made the other day, with the dead fish: such a sad discovery but I appreciate you raised awareness! And thanks to all the comments, I learned alot. I took my Kayak out yesterday, got three small mouth and three small pike, they love smoke grey tubes. Excellent video again my friend, I appreciate the time and effort you put in.👍🇨🇦

Nice video. When I started my Pike fishing, some 40+ years ago, I was always told by an old sage of Pike angling. _"Cast THREE times to the same spot. Your first cast wakes the Pike up. Your second cast gets it onto its fins. Your third cast will provoke a take."_ And believe it or not, but more often than not, the third cast to the same spot would, in deed, get a hit 8-))... It's the little things in fishing that make the difference.

don't watch many f your videos but you speaking of the rod you are using reminded me of the review you did for R&R predator combo and at the time i watched it i was looking for a predator set and that combo is amazing i love it, so wanted to say thank you for your review on it , probably would never of found it if it wasn't for your review

Cracking video man. Just a tip leave the lure in the water for a few seconds before taking it out of the water 👍. I use a mirus mouse tail with a gig head. Works a treat.
Lot of hype on headbanger, but I found really difficult to retrieve and not really happy with it. Westin swim is classic lure and works so well anytime, everywhere
Gunki fantastic brand, i use the finesse game rod 0.5-7gram bout 40quid and wow what a bit of kit well worth a look if anyone out there lookin at a new fun stick
They look like a noodle but the power they have is ridiculous easy handle mid double pike and had few carp close to double onnit aswell never felt in danger
It’s a shame they’ve stopped doing them, I ordered a few after first seeing this video and they were great, I just can’t seem find them anymore unfortunately
I love that colour westin swim . Was my favourite and had a few pike on it until i lost it 😩 never got another colour the same. I think that one just flashes like something else in the water with some sun . And without 🤣

Not getting back to enquiries after multiple requests to make contact. The lure box is a great concept and service if they keep their end of the bargain. Hope they are able to keep going. I was really looking forward to seeing the goodies.
What’s your preference for pike fishing if you were using deadbait , Would you use a spinning rod and fixed reel or would you prefer a baitcaster? I’ve never used a baitcaster but I tend to deadbait for pike while spinning for trout
First of all mate I’d only deadbait in the winter or late autumn never summer! And I always use a fixed spool rather than a baitcaster for deadbaiting 👍 hope this helps!
@@adventurefishinguk I’m only using deadbait because it’s a reservoir and you just stand there with no action using lures , there’s too much water to cover , so we always fire a mackerel out on a rod and use another rod to spin for the trout , Yeah I just seem to see people using different ones just wanting to find out what ones best
Thanks Gary, glad you like the videos! I appreciate your concern, I always look after the fish I catch. The ones that just get chucked back from a small height are always the ones that have been unhooked fast and rested 👍 bigger fish always get the unhooking mat and always wet. I’ll take your comment on board though and try to make it better for the next time!

@@adventurefishinguk completley diffrent. I got some lmab clips and 5/0 10g tungsten jigs. Savage titanium trace, keitech swing impact fat shads, a gunki shad, lmab 18cm in natural perch, and a salmo slider in supernatural tench 10cm 36g
Placed an order for two boxes, to get a good example, ordered on 25/02/23, still hasn’t arrived, 3 emails, 2 phone calls, a Facebook messenger message and still no boxes and no reply!!!
Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad experience mate! Have you seen on their delivery info if you order a subscription box then they get posted out every month on the 18th I think it is

Lot of hype on headbanger, but I found really difficult to retrieve and not really happy with it. Westin swim is classic lure and works so well anytime, everywhere
I didn't really see much head banging action but the paddle tail looked to be working well. And yeah, I love the westin swim now.

What version of the westin swim is that. I keep seeing different versions, such as sink or suspended. That one looks ideal for where I fish.

Love the channel, but a little concerned about fish release. Been a piker all my life, big or small handle with care. Still love the content.

Can you use braid for trout fishing?
You can mate yes a lot of people do. A lot lighter than you would for pike though
