Paul probably didn't need much convincing given how much he adores Grandpa Max. Though, he couldn't have been cheap to cast.
Paul seems to like taking part in fan projects, he did the voice for that Logan inspired trailer of Ben 10 as well.

It looks like the omnitrix is either starting to permanently fuse to Ben or its starting to poison him and that’s why his alien forms look so deformed when he’s older.

That vilgax design though looks sick reminds me of Darth malgus from Star Wars and love the fact that you got Paul back to play Max.
I have a theory that the blaster on vilgaxs arm was made with omnitrix technology and when Ben ripped it of it made a flash bang corrupting the omnitrix
I thought of that when you pause four arms taking the machine on vilgaxs arm there’s like this lightning connecting them

Everything about this from the voice acting to the music, to the designs, just the whole animation just takes me back in the best possible way, way to go!

For the last time... IT'S HERO TIME
My man got Paul to voice Max. That’s FIRE
Easter eggs:
1: 0:15 is a reference to the episode"and then there was Ben" Because of, clearly the name.
2:also in 0:15,we see a picture of Ben,Kevin,and Gwen having medals while in plumber outfits,this could be a reference to the episode basic training where the trio become actual plumbers
3: at 0:34 we see Ben being cautious with his Omnitrix and using one finger to slowly press the dial, obviously this is a reference to when he did the same thing for when he first got the Omnitrix
4: obviously,the shirt he's wearing is a reference to grandpa max but instead of red flowers,it's green
5:the shirt past Ben wears,is very similar to future Ben in Omniverse
6:Kevin wears something that's very close to what he wears in the Future of the classic timeline,and Omniverse timeline
7:Grandpa max loses his right arm, exactly like his future counterparts
8:and Finally,vilgaxs design is pretty close to his original classic Design
9:Gwen wears her alien force season 1 to 2 outfit
And finally 10:bens Omnitrix is very similar to what his Omniverse future counterpart has, meaning it's more like a gauntlet then a watch

Aside from Vilgax's dialogue seeming a little too much like the original series for something set after Omniverse, this is really promising.
OG vilgax is cool and all but he changed a lot by the end so it's weird to see such a regression.

Maybe in this series Asmuth was killed why would I think that cause if ben is getting poisoned and killed by the watch it must mean it's the prototyoe version so if that's the case why hasn't asmuth fixed it yet exactly why I think he was killed off most likely

Maybe I’m missing something here but did vilgax’s device damage the omnitrix watch when Ben is four arms the weapon is sending lightning into the omnitrix , maybe that’s why it’s hurting/killing Ben by affecting his and his aliens DNA?
ok i just watch this again AND IT REALLY COOL around 1:38 when four arms remove the thing you can see sparks from the watch logo on villgax arm thing and the watch and i am guessing it corrupted the watch so it hurting ben now
