I do exactly the same. I purchased a portable air con unit last year and it has made such a difference. Well worth the investment. Before that i was suffering so much from heat with fibro I was actually anxious and depressed all summer. Not cool for electricity bills but priorities are priorities....
I'm really sensitive to heat aswell I can't go to really hot countries and struggle in the summer! I don't have air con in the house but I make good use of the air con in my car! I eat alot of ice cream and drink alot of smoothies in summer!
